Hac Sa Beach is a beach in Coloane, Macau. It is the largest natural beach in Macau. The name Hac Sa, is a translation from Cantonese (Chinese: 黑沙; Cantonese Yale: Hāksā), literally means the famous black sand.

A Day at Hac Sa Beach in Macau
Hello, and welcome to the first lesson of American English In Macau. In today's lesson we have a look at Hac Sa beach and some of its key features.
Hac Sa is a black sand beach. The fine black sand is specific to this area and something you will remember. You will probably bring some home with you if you don't clean up well before leaving the beach.
Granite is the rock that makes up the boulders around the beach as well as many of the hills and 'mountains' in Macau.
We visit the basketball courts, as well as the barbecue pits. We look briefly at the camping site, with the tents and tent pads.
Finally, we look briefly at the food kiosks and convenience stores near the bus stops.

Hac Sa Beach is a beach in Coloane, Macau, China. It is the largest natural beach in Macau.The name Hac Sa, is a translation from Cantonese, literally means the famous black sand. However, to prevent the beach from disappearing due to erosion, Macau government has refilled the beach with yellow sand artificially.

I think it is not called Black Sand Beach, it is called Hac Sa Beach 黑沙海灘. Beach in Macau is very rare, Hac Sa Beach is one of them and also is the most famous and popular one, because there is a large barbecue field beside Hac Sa Beach. Also there is Hac Sa Park that includes basketball and football field and so on. I have gone there for many times, barbecue, football, swimming, etc. The most feature of Hac Sa Beach is that its sand is black, because of the pollution in Macau. And there are many barbecue food store near Hac Sa and they are extremely delicious. However, they are quite expensive. Overall, I think Hac Sa is one of the best entertainment place in Macau.
