Visit Lake Chelan, Lake in Chelan County, North Central Washington State, United States
Lake Chelan is a narrow, 50.5 miles (81.3 km) long lake in Chelan County, north-central Washington state, U.S.[1] It is the largest natural lake in the state by any measure. With the completion of Lake Chelan Dam in 1927, the elevation of the lake was raised up to 21 feet (6.4 m).[2] Two communities lie on the southern end of the lake, and a third sits at the far north end, providing a gateway to the North Cascades National Park. Maine to Yellowstone to Washington State: In-Depth Look at Long Distance Vibrations (micro-seisms)
Welcome to my next full length video! If this is too long, please visit the parts section below to skip to a part you want to watch. Sorry, this was meant to be uploaded yesterday (11-26) instead of today (11-27). This hour-long video dives into one theory as to why a strange vibration was recently spotted spanning thousands of miles from Maine to Yellowstone to Washington. What the heck could they be? We will take an in-depth seismological look at these events. This video will also be posted on a new page I am currently building which will be dedicated to showing a couple data sets every time this “tremor” occurs. So what could it be? Could it really be ocean waves and strong low pressure systems causing these microseisms? Possibly. But there are some major problems in the way of that.
Parts:

02:37 – Publication from 1931 talking about storm microseisms
03:11 – First seismic instrument invented in 132AD!!! WOAH!

CAPE DISAPPOINTMENT! Tour d'Joko Long Beach Edition: Episode Three
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.
These are the words of Lord Alfred Tennyson. The poem is posted on a sign at the lighthouse at the very tip of the land just north of the mouth of the Columbia River, Cape Disappointment.
I Googled it and discovered that this is the second most western place one can get to in the continental United States. The most is a place called Cape Alva, Washington I may be going there next.
Of the three videos Ive made of the journey thus far (see the other two by clicking on the link below to my previous blog), this is my favorite.

California to New York: A Complete Road Trip
This is a complete road trip compilation from Santa Monica, California to New York City over eight different days from June-September, 2017 - all recorded in time-lapse at 4fps (nearly 100,000 frames total). Of the 3,253 miles (5,235 kilometers) driven, about 3 miles of this drive is missing, mostly in Colorado near Poncha Springs. Nearly all of this drive was done in daytime, but there is about 10 minutes of this video done in darkness in Arizona (about 1:00:00 to 1:10:00). The weather was good for the most part, except from Pennsylvania all the way to the Bronx, before clearing up in Manhattan. This trip also includes driving through the solar eclipse of August 21 in Nebraska (at about 3:30:00), as well as driving over the old Tappan Zee Bridge in upstate NY, which permanently closed a month later with the opening of the new Mario M Cuomo Bridge adjacent to it.
The states passed through are
California (0:00:35-0:40:54)
Arizona (0:40:54-1:40:26)
New Mexico (1:40:26-1:41:09)
Colorado (1:41:09-3:07:17)
Nebraska (3:07:17-3:51:05)
Iowa (3:51:05-4:24:17)
Illinois (4:24:17-4:50:42)
Indiana (4:50:42-5:10:51)
Ohio (5:10:51-5:39:13)
West Virginia (5:39:13-5:40:48 & 5:47:09-5:51:52)
Pennsylvania (5:40:48-5:47:09 & 6:04:43-6:32:49)
Maryland (5:51:52-6:04:43)
New York (6:32:49-6:50:03)
The highest elevation of the drive was 11,539 ft (3,517 m) at 2:28:10. The highest elevation anywhere on the U.S. interstate system is 11,158 ft (3,401 m) at 2:33:41. Both of these elevations are two of the three continental divide crossings; the other, at 2:04:38 (10,856 ft / 3,309 m), is the first.
The hottest temperature of this trip was 110 F (43 C) in Needles, California (about 0:40:16), and the coldest temperature of this trip was 53 F (11 C) in Tusayan, Arizona (about 1:10:04) - only about 230 miles (370 km) from Needles.

STORYLINE
The US first family settled in on Sunday for their vacation on Martha's Vineyard not long after Hurricane Bill blew away, but left behind big waves and heavy rip currents for the Obamas.
A tropical storm warning was lifted just hours before President Barack Obama began his first vacation since taking office.
The hurricane forced the president to delay his departure from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland by a few hours earlier in the day.
During the flight from Washington to Cape Cod, White House spokesman Bill Burton conveyed a message from Obama, who boarded Air Force One in khakis and without jacket or tie, to the reporters travelling with him.
He wants you to relax and have a good time. Take some walks on the beaches. Nobody's looking to make any news, Burton told reporters.
The Obama then flew by helicopter from the Coast Guard station at Otis Air Base to Martha's Vineyard, and took a motorcade from the airport to their vacation home.
Along the route, several people help signs, including ones that said, Aloha Obama Family and Hope, Obama.
Some Obama friends, including White House adviser Valerie Jarrett and Chicago physician Eric Whitaker, joined the family, as did Obama's sister, Maya, and her husband.
The president has no official events scheduled in the week ahead.
There are the likely trips for ice cream and salt water taffy, possibly a bike ride and plenty of quiet time at a secluded 28-acre (11.3-hectare) private estate that rents
for 35-thousand a week.
The Obamas are paying for their share of the vacation home; taxpayers are picking up the tab for security and White House staff, which is customary for all
presidents.
Ahead of the trip, Obama and his aides asked for privacy for his daughters, 8-year-old Sasha and 11-year-old Malia.
Vendors on Martha's Vineyard are selling T-shirts with the first family's pictures and even promoting Bo.
The first dog flew with the Obama on Air Force One and wandered through the press cabin during the flight.
The Vineyard is just 23 miles (37 kilometres) long with a year-round population of about 15-thousand.
Any motorcade is certain to draw attention on an island already crowded with summer visitors.
Obama has visited twice before. More typically he has vacationed in Hawaii, where he was born and spent time as a child.

Yep. Washington State is amazing, the coast has Long Beach which is the world's longest beach and it can be driven on, beautiful rain forests, tidal estuaries, rugged mountains in the Cascades, fertile farm lands and rugged barren land that is looks as if time has forgotten to change and more fertile land loaded with orchards and vineyards.
I often say that every state in the US could be a country to itself and Washington is living proof.

Spruce Goose - Color HK-1 Hercules Moved in Long Beach Harbor 84710a HD
This short silent film shows activities in 1982, as the Spruce Goose was moved out of its hangar in Long Beach and into a protective dome located near the Queen Mary. This followed a three-month national effort to save the aircraft from destruction, with the Spruce Goose donated to the Aero Club of Southern California.
The aircraft's move across Long Beach Harbor was reported in a Los Angeles Times Feb. 12, 1982, story by staff writers Anne LaRiviere and Jerry Belcher:
The ancient Spruce Goose--first last and largest bird of its kind--went to its final roosting place Thursday in Long Beach.
Like Long Beach's other great dinosaur of transportation history, the Queen Mary, it will become a tourist attraction.
Designed by billionaire Howard Hughes during World War II as a troop carrier that would cruise at 200 mph, the world's largest airplane made its final journey with three men aboard at a speed of approximately .346 mph.
The gigantic flying boat, with a wingspan of 320 feet, a fuselage 219 feet long and a rudder eight stories high, was lifted from dockside at Terminal Island by an enormous floating crane late Wednesday night and deposited on the deck of a 240-foot barge early Thursday....then towed by tugboats 4 1/2 miles to its new and final roost, a huge, specially constructed aluminum dome adjacent to eh Queen Mary's permanent moorage...
The flying boat was constructed mainly of laminated birch wood. However, a small amount of spruce was used in the plane's construction, and therefore, someone dubbed it The Spruce Goose because is sounded right.
Hughes hated the name.
N.B. The Goose ended up leaving Long Beach and is now at the Evergreen Air Museum in Washington State.
This film is part of the Periscope Film LLC archive, one of the largest historic military, transportation, and aviation stock footage collections in the USA. Entirely film backed, this material is available for licensing in 24p HD. For more information visit

Los Angeles known as L.A. Or Colloquial City of Angels, is the largest city in the state of California and the second largest in the United States, surpassed only by New York City.
In 1781 the Spaniards established a town in the western area of the United States, named El Pueblo by Nuestra Senora Reina de los Angeles. The Spanish domination ceased in 1821, but the United States took control of the city 30 years later.
The emergence of the railways, as well as the famous Gold Chase brought many emigrants to these lands.
Establishing here, after 1913, major cinemas will have the effect of an explosion of business, which will make this city the name of the promised land.
The city is called the familiar L.A. (Pronunciation, he) by its inhabitants and has an extremely subtle tropical climate. The enormous expansion of the urban area made Los Angeles the largest stretch of land in the United States.
The economy of the city is based on a very wide diversification of the industry. In fact, the state of California is a world-class economic power ranked 7th, and the Los Angeles 2017 economy is significantly contributing to California.
Los Angeles was incorporated as a city on 4 April 1850 - just five months before California was accepted as the thirty-first state of the Union on 9 September 1850.Los Angeles is the capital of the Los Angeles County homonymous county.
According to the US Census Bureau estimate in 2005, the city had a population of about 3.8 million inhabitants, being the economic and cultural center of an extended metropolitan area, known as Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana, with a total population of Over 12.9 million people.
Los Angeles is one of the most important cultural, scientific, educational, technological and commercial centers of the world. He was the host of two Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984. L.A. Hosts many world-renowned institutions in a multitude of professional and cultural fields.
In particular, the city of Los Angeles 2018 is the world leader in the production and distribution of all accessible entertainment for all, movies, television programs and music recordings.
Los Angeles is one of the most cosmopolitan places in the world. People everywhere have been constantly attracted by its distinctive city, its gentle weather, its geographical location along what is termed the Pacific Rim Gateway geographically, the vibrant lifestyle, the energy that seems to be evolving everywhere And the hope of realizing the American Dream.
The coastal part of Los Angeles was first colonized by Tongva (or Gabrieleños) and Chumash a few thousand years ago. Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo, a Portuguese explorer, supported the southern part of California for the Spanish Empire in 1542. Gaspar de Portolà and the Franciscan missionary Juan Crespí reached the place where Los Angeles is currently on August 2, 1769.
In 1771, the Franciscan monk Junípero Serra headed the Mission San Gabriel Arcangel , the first mission in the region. On September 4, 1781, a group of 44 known colonists and Los Pobladores set up La Reyna de los Angeles, an honorary name given to the memory of the Holy Sea. Two-thirds of the colonists were mestizo or mulatars with Africans, Amerindians and European ancestors.
Colonia has remained a farmer's estate for decades, but by 1820 the population has grown to 650 people. Today, colonization is celebrated in the historic district of Los Angeles Pueblo Plaza and Olvera Street, the oldest parts of Los Angeles.
New Spain obtained its independence from the Spanish Empire in 1821 and colonization continued under the administration of Mexico. During the administration of Mexico, Governor Pío Pico made Los Angeles 2017 the capital of the Alta California region.
Mexican administration ended during the Mexican-American War: Americans took control of the Californians after a series of battles culminating in the signing of the Cahuenga treaty on January 13, 1847.
The train lines arrived with the completion of the southern Pacific line to Los Angeles in 1876.

Starting Point: .
Chicago is the third-most populous city in the United States. With over 2.7 million residents it is the most populous city in the state of Illinois and the Midwestern United States. The Chicago metropolitan area, often referred to as Chicagoland, has nearly 10 million people and is the third-largest in the U.S.
The city is an international hub for finance, commerce, industry, technology, telecommunications, and transportation: O'Hare International Airport is the second-busiest airport in the world when measured by aircraft traffic; the region also has the largest number of U.S. highways and rail road freight. The city has one of the world's largest and most diversified economies with no single industry employing more than 14% of the workforce.
In 2015, Chicago had over 52 million international and domestic visitors. Chicago's culture includes the visual arts, novels, film, theater, especially improvisational comedy, and music, particularly jazz, blues, soul, gospel and house music. It also has professional sports teams in each of the major professional leagues. Chicago has many nicknames, the best-known being the Windy City.
Tourism
In 2014, Chicago attracted 50.17 million domestic leisure travelers, 11.09 million domestic business travelers and 1.308 million overseas visitors. These visitors contributed more than US$13.7 billion to Chicago's economy. Upscale shopping along the Magnificent Mile and State Street, thousands of restaurants, as well as Chicago's eminent architecture, continue to draw tourists. The city is the United States' third-largest convention destination.
Sports
The city has two Major League Baseball (MLB) teams: the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox. The Chicago Bears, one of the last two remaining charter members of the National Football League (NFL), have won nine NFL Championships, including the 1985 Super Bowl XX. The Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA) is one of the most recognized basketball teams in the world. The Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL) began play in 1926, and are one of the Original Six teams of the NHL.
Economy
Chicago is a major world financial center, with the second-largest central business district in the United States. The city is the headquarters of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago (the Seventh District of the Federal Reserve). The city has major financial and futures exchanges, including the Chicago Stock Exchange, the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Architecture
The destruction caused by the Great Chicago Fire led to the largest building boom in the history of the nation. In 1885, the first steel-framed high-rise building, the Home Insurance Building, rose in the city as Chicago ushered in the skyscraper era, which would then be followed by many other cities around the world. Today, Chicago's skyline is among the world's tallest and most dense.
Cuisine
Chicago lays claim to a large number of regional specialties that reflect the city's ethnic and working-class roots. Included among these are its nationally renowned deep-dish pizza; this style is said to have originated at Pizzeria Uno. The Chicago-style thin crust is also popular in the city.
Infrastructure
Chicago is a major transportation hub in the United States. It is an important component in global distribution, as it is the third-largest inter-modal port in the world after Hong Kong and Singapore.

Seaside Oregon Prom and Turnaround
The famous oceanfront promenade and long stretches of beach with dramatic ocean views and abundant recreational opportunities remain the star attractions in Seaside, the Northwest's most popular seashore destination for well over a century. Stroll the Prom as the sun sets or enjoy the ambiance over a cozy bonfire. Fly your kite on ocean breezes or comb the beach for sea trinkets left scattered at the shoreline by receding tides. You can even trace the steps of the Lewis & Clark expedition and visit the historic Salt Works, where the Corps of Discovery replenished their salt supplies.
