Hollandse Meesters aangekomen bij Hermitage Amsterdam
Op vrijdagochtend 29 september 2017 arriveerden met een beveiligd transport meesterwerken van onder anderen Rembrandt en Gerard Dou bij de Hermitage Amsterdam. Ze zijn onderdeel van de tentoonstelling Hollandse Meesters uit de Hermitage. Oogappels van de tsaren. KLM Cargo verzorgde het vervoer van een deel van de kunstwerken. Rembrandts Flora (1634) kon worden uitgepakt, een van de ‘iconen’ van de Hermitage. Hollandse Meesters uit de Hermitage is te zien van 7 oktober 2017 tot en met 27 mei 2018.

Hermitage Amsterdam Museum- Sister to St. Petersburg
New Amsterdam Travel Video- The Hermitage Amsterdam is a world-class museum that is well known to locals but not on the radar of many tourists. Which is a shame because their collections and exhibits are always impressive and their Amstel River location is very pretty and convenient. It's collections are inspired by the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia and often shares part of their collection here in Amsterdam. This connection has a history dating back to the 1600s when Czar Peter the Great lived and studied in Amsterdam. In our video we highlight two of museum's current exhibits: Treasury!- masterpieces from the Russian collection; and Dutch Portraits from the Golden Age: an impressive gathering of huge, group portraits from the 17th century on loan from both the Rijksmuseum and the Amsterdam Museum and hanging together for the first time. Tip: Also check out the museum's Outsider Art Museum; and try to find the Panorama Amsterdam- a 15 minute wide screen film presentation of the museum's history. Double Tip: exit on the far east side and stroll through the gated garden with huge trees, a reflection pool and the Dignita Hoftuin Restaurant which serves tasty tostis!

Het Nationale Ballet in de Hermitage Amsterdam
In de tentoonstelling Classic Beauties schittert momenteel de unieke collectie van Antonio Canova. Deze toonaangevende kunstenaar streefde in zijn tijd naar ultieme perfectie - als geen ander wist hij emotie en dynamiek aan te brengen in steen. Het bevrijden van emotie uit steen vormde de inspiratie voor een unieke culturele samenwerking; tussen Canova's marmeren sculpturen komen de dansers van Het Nationale Ballet tot leven in de promovideo voor het balletprogramma The New Classics. Deze video is een samenwerking tussen Het Nationale Ballet en de Hermitage Amsterdam, en gemaakt ter gelegenheid van de nieuwe voorstelling The New Classics - het openingsprogramma van het nieuwe balletseizoen.
