Please like and comment! We're looking forward to your opinion! Thanks a lot!
Dreams have come true. By skating on the characteristic Dutch canals of Amsterdam, loads of people had a once-in-a-lifetime-experience. This unique situation, by wich all the canals are frozen and suited to walk on, appears sporadically: it happens once in 20 years.
This short video gives an impression of the wonderful Dutch capital, frozen in her white beauty. I praise Benjamin Francis Leftwich for his beautiful song ''1904'', which accompanies the skating people in this movie.
Enjoy!

AMSTERDAM WINTER TRAVEL VLOG (ICE SKATING, RED LIGHT DISTRICT) | 03-01-2019
In this raw Amsterdam winter travel vlog, you will join us as we catch our train from Brussels to Amsterdam Central train station.
We arrive into Amsterdam at around 4 pm, which is just in time for the sunset.
You'll get to see what Amsterdam looks like the moment you get off the train. We continue toward our hotel but stop at an Argentine steak house along the way. By the way, at the next Argentine steak house that you go to, make sure to try the chimichurri!! I had it for the first time when I visited Argentina a few years back.
After our steak and red wine celebration in the heart of Amsterdam, we continue to our hotel and eventually check in. I'll give you an honest walk-through of the hotel we stayed at.
We finally ventured back into the city centre at around 9 pm where we saw numerous Coffee Shops and an ice skating rink! We went ice skating, had currywurst, then checked out the red light district.
We paid to access the Red Light Museum which was an adventure I was reluctant to do at first. After reading a ton of reviews on it, I decided we should go and check it out due to the educational impact this museum has on tourists.
Have you been to Amsterdam? What was your experience? Let me know in the comments!!

Ice skating on frozen canals in Amsterdam - Winter Travel in Holland
Amsterdam is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe with its beautiful canals, historic architecture, and relaxed vibe. On this day (in the Winter of 2012), the canals in the city were frozen completely, and crowds of locals (and tourists) came out to skate and have fun on the ice.
A pretty unique sight in Holland these days, and definitely (many would argue unfortunately!) something you don't see every year.

Ice-skating in Amsterdam, Holland
Ice-skating is one of the most popular sports/pastime in the Netherlands. Ice-skating is done mostly on artificial ice and ice rinks, the Dutch, however, prefer natural ice: on frozen canals, lakes and ponds, streams and channels. This very short film shows the Dutch #Ice-skating on ICE* in Amsterdam at the #Museumplein.

Ice skaters glide over frozen canal in Amsterdam
It is so cold in the Dutch city that some canals have frozen over, turning them into a winter wonderland for skaters. For the first time in about six years, part of the Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht canals have frozen hard enough to support the weight of dozens of sightseers, locals and ice skaters. Footage from the canals shows people on skates criss-crossing the ice while others stroll along enjoying the novelty of walking on what is normally flowing water.
