A Walk Through Penn's Landing and Independence Seaport Museum
During my two day layover in Philadelphia as part of my Train Odyssey 3, I visited the Penn's Landing area which is on the west shore of the Delaware River and just east of the Historic District (Old City) Philadelphia. I spent most of my time at the Independence Seaport Museum, which includes the museum proper and also a WW I navy cruiser and a WW II submarine. This video is of my 'walk throughs' of those attractions.

Independence Seaport Museum Casey Cares Caring Connections Party as covered by 6ABC
The 501(c)3 nonprofit organization hosted a Caring Connection Party at the Independence Seaport Museum to provide critically ill children and their families with a heartwarming and uplifting activity where they bond, meet and support each other. At this event, participants took self-guided tours to see the various ships and maritime exhibits on display. Additional activities included a hands-on craft, scavenger hunt and refreshments compliments of Swiss Haus Bakery. Caring Connection Parties give families an opportunity to focus on fun and relieve them from thinking about their hospital treatments and doctors' appointments. Casey Cares Foundation's Caring Connection Program encourages families to meet, share and support each other while taking part in fun themed parties. This is one of several events being held for children fighting life-threatening illnesses and their families throughout the Greater Philadelphia this year. More than 50 people attended, including Keith Bubba Wagner, who recently received a kidney transplant. Bubba is one of three adopted children with special needs being raised by a single mom, and he regularly attends a variety of Casey Cares Foundation activities.
