Orchid Plant Dendrobium Specie of Nagaon, Assam, India. The Species has very huge diversity to the local area to forest area. Showing Plant is observed in a branch of Jackfruit plant. Filmed by: Rupam Mandal. The Species are of various types. This orchid species get bud formation from the beginning month of January and get ready to bloom in March. In this Video the middle stage is observed on the species. They are light purple to lime yellow in color. Very rich in color and look. Hope you like the video. Through the garden of flowers: At Ziro Festival Location
Flowers on one side and paddy fields on one and grasslands on another. It was a out of the world location for a music, nature and culture festival. The first day saw things being readied for the beginning of the grand concert in ZIro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh.
Ziro is situated in Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh, 167 kms from the capital Itanagar. It can be reached via road from Guwahati or Dibrugarh towns in Assam.
A spectacular location, open air gigs, campfires, tents and living in the outdoors amidst picturesque landscapes are just some of the things that wait to refresh your mind at Ziro. Artistes from across the country met likeminded individuals hailing from different parts of the globe. Last year, the festival saw over 150 musicians, artists, and creative minds be a part of this cultural celebration.
This year, Ziro Festival of Music's second edition saw a great curated line-up of musicians such as Whirling Kalapas from Mumbai, Lee Ranaldo and Stevel Shelley from USA, Menwhopause from Delhi, Sky Rabbit from Mumbai, Imphal Talkies from Imphal, Dosser's Urge from Shillong, Shaair + Func from Mumbai and many more.
Just 167km from the capital, Itanagar, Ziro is one of the oldest towns in Arunachal Pradesh. Situated in a valley, it is at a height of over 5500 feet above sea level, with a beautiful view of the mountains that surround it.
Ziro is primarily home to the Apatanis -- simple, friendly and hospitable people with an interesting culture and legacy. They are a non-nomadic, agrarian tribe who share a responsible relationship with nature. Apatanis cultivate permanent wet land cultivations instead of dry land cultivations which involves burning forests. Ziro valley is lush with paddy farms and is known for its unique paddy cum fi sh cultivation where using traditional irrigation methods, farmers rear fish in the knee-deep water. Keeping them company are the adorable, shy, and harmless Indian Bisons.

Arunachal's rich and colourful orchids find a place of pride. Out of about a thousand species of orchids in India, over 500 are to be found in Arunachal alone. Hence Arunachal Pradesh can justly be called the Orchid Paradise of our country.
These Orchids are colourful, spectacular and some bear exotic names such as Sita-Pushpa and Draupadi-Pushpa, which were believed to have been worn by Sita and Draupadi for ornamentation. Many of these orchids are rare, endangered and highly ornamental with long-lasting flower qualities. Amongst the orchids as many as 150 species are ornamental and commercially vital.
Orchids form a dominant group of plants with their attractive and exquisite blooms.
Orchids in Arunachal Pradesh can also be classified into three species found in the different forest types.
