After traveling around Delhi for the private, our guide took us to this humble restaurant situated on top on a souvenir shop, you know where we're going with this, right? hahaha. Anyway, the food was actually really nice. We loved it! Especially with Rogan Josh! The bill was settled, it was fine (not too expensive, not too cheap). Then we went down to the souvenir shop to look at some stuff. I finally had the chance to get my mom some garments, she'd like some embroidered fabric. After that, we left Delhi straight away to Agra for our next day tour at Taj Mahal. The ride was fantastic! Our driver was just very attentive and good at what he's doing. Tomorrow is Taj Mahal day!

Welcome to my new vlog!!! Today we start off our golden triangle india trip in Delhi! I'm so excited to share this with you guys. We went there in November so it was at the height of the smog. It was so bad, I never saw anything quite like this. It was pretty bad in Hyderabad but in Delhi was even worse. Anyway, we bought a private tour from Klook, it was so convenience. The only general problem is they are outsourced which means there is no certain standard for all tour guides and drivers. If you are lucky, you get good tour guides with good attitude and knowledge. You get one driver throughout the entire tour and then he will drive you around the states/destinations, and he would pick up local tour guides along the way which to my understandings they are pre-arranged by the agency. The good thing about this private tour is that you can customise it anything you want but they always bring you back to a private shopping experience - you know...for a commission. We started off the tour with some driving along Delhi busy road because it was heavily smogged in the morning. Then, we arrived at Agrasen Ki Baoli which used to be a royal bath house for kings and queens. Not everyone gets to come there for the tour but our tour guide wanted to showed us something different. Next stops include India Gate, The Government House and of course Humayun’s Tomb.

FIRST TIME IN INDIA - Amazing Places in Delhi, India
WOW! That’s all we can say about our first time in India! We did a little research and found some amazing places in Delhi, India to visit during our 2 week stay. Today we’ll show you around Jama Masjid and Humayun’s Tomb, two beautiful monuments in the heart of the city in New Delhi, India! You don’t want to miss these.
Walking down the streets of Old Delhi, we were so overwhelmed with smells, sounds, and people. We can’t believe this is Delhi, India! It’s just like something we’ve never experienced before and I think it’s hard to even capture it on film. If you plan to travel to India, you’ll soon know what we mean. However, the two places we visited are some of the best places in Delhi to visit once you arrive in India.
Our first stop was Jama Masjid which is a mosque in Old Delhi, India. The mosque itself was built in 1656 AD and it’s courtyard can hold up to 25,000 people at one time for payer. Jama Masjid is absolutely gorgeous, but make sure you follow the non-muslim visiting hours. Even though we arrived during non-muslim visiting hours, we got kicked out. That was pretty disappointing because we wanted to film a bit more there and show you the beauty of this place in our India travel vlog. But, rules are rules! A little tip, if you bring a camera into the mosque it’s 300 Rupee per person ($4 usd)
Next we walked through the streets of Delhi and got a taste for local life in India. We walked through the Old Delhi neighborhood and saw vegetable markets set up on the sidewalk, morning commuters grabbing coffee from their favorite stand, and witnessed what living in India must feel like.
We then headed over to central Delhi to visit Humayun’s Tomb. If you ask anyone what to do in Delhi, they will tell you to visit Humayun’s Tomb. Built in the mid 1500’s by Persian architects, the monument was actually the structure that inspired the famous Taj Mahal. Now that’s some serious history! Although the Taj Mahal gets all the credit, Humayun’s Tomb is absolutely breathtaking and it was the first structure of it’s size to be built in all red sandstone.
Being our first time in Delhi, we think these two attractions were a great introduction into the history of the city and to India as a whole. Both Jama Masjid and Humayun’s Tomb are two things we recommend you must do in Delhi! A lot of people take Delhi as a starting point to go explore other places in India, however we think New Delhi city is a great place to experience the culture of India without too many tourists weighing down your experience.
We hope you enjoyed seeing our first time in India! We are exploring hidden gems, India street food, and tourist spots in Delhi India for the next two weeks. So make sure to subscribe for more India travel vlogs!

Humayun's Tomb is one of Delhi's three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Delhi. The centerpiece is the eponymous tomb of Humayun. Constructed in the beginning of 1562, it was the primary major Mughal structure in the city and has been depicted as a model of Agra's Taj Mahal. The structures are, in fact, elaborately comparative, in spite of the fact that Humayun's Tomb is worked from red sandstone, not white marble as in Taj Mahal.
Qutub Minar is the most renowned structures, situated in south of Delhi. This 72.5 m minaret was the tallest high rise on the planet when constructed. It was developed on the requests of Qutb-ud-din Aybak.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is the fundamental Gurudwara for the Sikhs in Delhi. The water body inside its complex is known as the Sarovar, whose water is viewed as heavenly by Sikhs and is known as Amrit. It was constructed by devotees in 1783.

3 Days trip to Delhi & Agra (2018)
Delhi, set on the both sides of river Yamuna, is a glorious & endlessly fascinating city reflecting an incredible blend of both modern, traditional & historical values of India. Delhi is not a state, but rather the National Capital Territory (NCT) of India. Delhi, one of the world’s oldest cities, became India’s capital in 1912 when the British moved the seat of government from Calcutta. Today, the area has become one of India’s most vibrant and fast-growing metros. Delhi has a mixed culture and people of all communities and religions live here.
Delhi is one of the most populated city in the world with a population of 18.98 million. Over the last 10 years, Delhi has gone through a lot of upgradation. It has now better roads, flyovers, shopping malls, entertainment complexes and especially the brilliant metro train – the best & the most convenient way to travel in and around the city. This network of air-conditioned train connects all the important locations in Delhi.
Delhi has many historical monuments like Qutab Minar (the world’s tallest brick minaret), Humayun Tomb, Old Fort (Purana Qila), Jama Masjid, Jantar Mantar, Red Fort, Tuglaqabad Fort, Lotus Temple & many more…

DAY 70 - OUR FIRST TIME IN INDIA (NEW DELHI)
DAY 70 - OUR FIRST TIME IN INDIA (NEW DELHI) // 19.12.2016
So you may think that £417 per person is alot to spend on a tour and with the benefit of hindsight, we know that we could have explored Rajasthan for cheaper.
We have even discussed the possibility of what led us to booking this tour (with Delhi based agency 'Bridge The World Tours & Travels) was in actual fact a scam/operation 'scare the tourist'...
Were we led down the most DANGEROUS street in Delhi?
Were we separated on purpose?
Were the stories of rape told by the taxi driver true?
Was the taxi driver actually 'lost'?
Regardless of the above suspicions and with this vlog being shot a month ago, the experience that we had, was money well spent.
Ok ok it may not have been an authentic travel experience. Especially coming from us being very independent and well travelled, but we had our very own private driver for 11 DAYS!*
*averaging around £50 a day (with food)
Our driver Amit was quite the hero. He helped us with cash flow when ATMs ran dry and offered insights into Indian culture. We were even able to take our time at each destination along the way or make unscheduled stops.
We devised a plan, which suited our length of stay and sought out EXACTLY what we wanted to see.
Most of all we felt safe! Although we may have been scared into submission, after arriving at our first hotel, we didn't once feel scared or anxious. The whole trip was easy and hassle free.
For any future travellers heading to India (north) and does not have the funds to cover a private tour, here are some tips for your stay:
Be careful of additional tipping demands that come with your visit
Be careful of delayed trains in Rajasthan (especially in Winter).
Make sure you know exactly where your hotel is
Carry some Indian rupees for when you arrive (although the cash flow situation should have eased up by now)
Be confident and be vigilant
Most of all have fun and know that Indian people are very hospitable and approachable (don't worry about the chaos, you will get used to it)
Anyways more on the tour over the next 11 days. You can judge for yourself whether our decision to book this tour is justified. All we know is that if we were to do Rajasthan again, we would book a tour like this again.
You can check out the tour company below for some honest reviews.

Delhi, India is a true CURRY HEAVEN, and we traveled here to go for this DEEP Street Food tour of Old Delhi! The Food Ranger (Trevor James) is in India eating Street Food! This walk through Old delhi truly was an AMAZING STREET FOOD ADVENTURE with delicious curry, amazing restaurants, and with so much tasty and UNIQUE Indian food recipes for our huge Indian dinner.
If you love eating street food around the world and street food in India, or even all over Asia, you will love the street food in Old Delhi. You can find street food everywhere, where everyone seems to cook delicious Indian recipes for curry and SPICY dishes all over the street.
In one day in old Delhi, India, we had 7 delicious street foods all made in the halal style.
We started out the day with an AMAZING ramadan experience at the largest Mosque in Delhi, Jama Masjid. We picked up a ton of different Indian street foods to bring to the mosque and break the fast with all the locals. We shared the delicious food, and then went back to the streets of Old Delhi to try more food.
The first food we had on our street food tour was the Delhi Fried Chicken, DFC, covered in Indian spices like masala and mustard. It was extremely JUICY and PLUMP!!!
Afterwards, we tried more BBQ chicken and then went for a nice Indian dinner cooked by one of the locals in Old Delhi. His family recipes were passed down to him and his food was legendary! We ate Indian Chicken Biryani and chicken korma curry along with Buffalo Korma along with Kameeri Roti! It was absolutely delicious!
After this, we went to the LEGENDARY Changezi chicken joint that invented the recipe for this juicy and flavour packed chicken curry dish!
To finish of the day, we went for some delicious BBQ Seekh Kebabs, extremely flavourful!!
The addresses for these street food restaurants in Old Delhi, India, are found on the main street below Jama Masjid, Old Delhi, India.
