Pompeil, Sorrento and Positano Tour
Positano was a port of the Amalfi Republic in medieval times, and prospered in the 16th and 17th centuries. But by the mid-19th century, the town had fallen on hard times. More than half the population emigrated, mostly to Australia.
Positano was a relatively poor fishing village during the first half of the 20th century. It began to attract large numbers of tourists in the 1950s, especially after John Steinbeck published his essay about Positano in Harper's Bazaar in May, 1953: Positano bites deep, Steinbeck wrote. It is a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.

Lucky Luciano
Charles Lucky Luciano (pronounced /luːtʃˈɑːnɵ/; born Salvatore Lucania November 24, 1897 – January 26, 1962), was an Sicilian-born American mobster. Luciano is considered the father of modern organized crime in the United States for splitting New York City into five different Mafia crime families and the establishment of the first Commission. He was the first official boss of the modern Genovese crime family. He was, along with his associate Meyer Lansky, instrumental in the development of the National Crime Syndicate in the United States. Luciano is considered by many to have been the most powerful American Mafia boss of all time.

Al Dente the Film - Prequel (1 of 2)
PART 1 of 2 - due to YouTubes restrictions I have had to split this short into two...
This was my first food film - sparked the idea to express my families love of food and restaurants.
Al Dente, the sample short film, tells the story of a restaurant owner's dedication. Within a quaint italian trattoria in South Africa. Memories and desires are revealed in the delicious chaos of an evening service in the restaurant.
African rhythms lead and opening montage through the landscapes of Cape Town. A commanding personality soon directs us to follow our main character. Aluana invites us inside to observe for a day, meet the chef from Naples and go shopping with local staff.
Reminiscence of learning to cook and challenging times are recounted while we gather fresh herbs from the garden. As Aluana directs kitchen movements, demands excellence, and enjoys a late dinner, we applaud the nightly accomplishments.
On screen we come to know Isola Bella and its proprietress, the labor of managing a restaurant, and a taste for excellent Tuscan dishes, A glass of wine bids us good night, resonating life's pleasures.
Giuseppe De Toro private Driver Guide Sorrento
Transfers and Private Shore Excursions from Naples Port Sorrento,Tours Pompeii and Amalfi coast,Positano,Ravello..
• We offer a private Shore excursion starting from your Cruise ship from Train Station or Hotel. You set the schedule as you choose from a full day or a half-day tour, as you request. Here's a little bit of the history of our coast..The Amalfi Coast is a stretch of coastline on the southern coast of the Sorrentine Peninsula in the Province of Salerno in Southern Italy. The Amalfi Coast is a popular tourist destination for the region and Italy as a whole, attracting thousands of tourists annually. During the 10th-11th centuries, the Duchy of Amalfi existed on the territory of the Amalfi Coast, centered in the town of Amalfi, until it was sacked by the Republic of Pisa in 1137. In 1997, the Amalfi Coast was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a cultural landscape. Positano has been featured in several films, including Only You (1994), and Under the Tuscan Sun (2003), as well as being mentioned in the 2009 musical film Nine in the song Cinema Italiano.Ravello was founded in the 5th century as a shelter place against the barbarian invasions which marked the end of the Western Roman Empire. In the 9th century Ravello was an important town of the maritime republic of Amalfi, a producer of wool from its surrounding country that was dyed in the town and an important trading power in the Mediterranean between 839 and around 1200. In 1086 it was made the seat of a bishopric by will of the Norman count Roger Borsa, as a counterweight to powerful Amalfi. In the 12th century it had some 25,000 inhabitants, and retains a disproportionate number of palazzi of the mercantile nobility, the Rufolo, d'Aflitto, Confalone and Della Marra. In 1137, after a first failed attack two years before, it was destroyed by the Republic of Pisa. After this event, it started a demographic and economical decline, and much of its population moved to Naples and its surroundings. I will be pleased to stop as you wish to take photos of the magnificent views of the Bay of Naples. We have years of experience and real passion for our business. Our drivers, who are multilingual (English and German) are professionals; knowledgeable, courteous and always there to help you enjoy your visit to Sorrento, Pompeii,Herculaneum, Amalfi Coast, Naples, Rome, Florence. We organize many more tours Pompeii and Vesuvius, Caserta and Cassino cooking school and wine testing. Plan your vacation or business trip and we'll provide the resources you need.
