The KP Hole, located on the beautiful Rainbow River in Dunnellon, Florida is a popular spot for scuba divers to come and get certified. The unlimited visibility and allurement of this river was beautifully captured both above and underwater. In addition to scuba diving, the KP Hole is also very popular for all types of other outdoor adventures. Be it a peaceful getaway for freshwater fishing, or a fun-filled family weekend of canoeing, snorkeling, and tubing the KP Hole is the experience you've been waiting for.

This Florida Spring features an incredible swimming area, Kayaking on the Rainbow River, a beautiful Campground, and a tubbing run with a shuttle back to the camping area! KAYAKING: Rainbow River
While down in Florida, Robin and I head out for some kayaking on the Rainbow River. There is only so much Homesteading the girl can take, but we're working on her. ;)
We had a great two hour float/paddle down the river ending up at Swampy's for adult beverages and food!
Rainbow Springs KP Hole
The KP Hole Park is a destination when spending the day on the Rainbow River. The KP Hole Park is open daily and offers swimming, picnicking, and a boat ramp. Canoe, kayak and tube rentals are available on site. The KP Hole located on the Rainbow River is a designated Outstanding Florida Waterway. I would recommend going here to anyone. Warning YouTubers: There are companies out their stealing revenue from YouTubers by putting false music copyright claims on videos. This video originally used a free music/soundtrack from Avid Video Editor that is free to use. However, Zohar Entertainment Group Ltd (Song: Near Death Experiences) filed a copyright claim on this video on the free/open licensed music seemingly to generate revenue from it. YouTubers fight back! Dispute the claims from companies like this. Luckily there was no spoken audio over the free music. So I opted to delete the disputed free music and upgraded the video with this YouTube free music.
2012-03-20, Paddling the Rainbow with Andy and Ron
We, Ron, Andy, and me, Jerry, went to the Rainbow River Canoe and Kayak Outfitter to rent kayaks for Ron and Andy. The outfitter is at 352-489-7854, 12121 River View, Dunnellon, FL, 34432. They provided the large Ocean Kayak, sit-on's for Ron and Andy and a shuttle to KP Hole County Park near the head waters of the Rainbow River. The kayak rental was $33 each and the shuttle service for me and my kayak was $15. We floated and paddled with the aid of the river current and NE wind at our backs back to the outfitter's place just beyond the confluence with the Withlacoochee River.
We put in at 12:30 pm at KP Hole County Park ($5 each) and finished at the outfitter's at 3 pm. The trip was 5 miles, even, and the average speed was 2 mph, all information from my Garmin eTrex Venture HC. Pictures were taken with a Nikon AW100, waterproof, shockproof camera. The AW100 geotags photos reliably and mostly consistently, with a few losses in acquisition.
