Canopy Walk at KL Forest Eco Park | WHAT TO DO IN KUALA LUMPUR
When you think you need to go far to escape to busyness of Kuala Lumpur... think again! Drop by the KL Forest Eco Park - gazetted as a forest reserve in 1906 and is one of the oldest in Malaysia - located in the heart of the city centre.
During my short walk, I entered through the Jalan Bukit Nanas entrance, although you can enter through the Menara KL entrance.

KL FOREST ECO PARK - A jungle in Kuala Lumpur?
KL FOREST ECO PARK. Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is a popular ecotourism destination and serves as a natural green lung for Kuala Lumpur. This rain-forest, with its 6 hectar is surrounding the KL Tower and serves as a tranquil oasis in between all the hustle and bustle of the city.
Did you know: It was originally gazetted as a forest reserve way back in 1906 with a land area of 17.5 hectares, but since then, a large part has already been taken up for building the KL Tower and other purposes. The remaining forest is now protected by the Malaysian government.

Taman Eko Rimba Kuala Lumpur: Must Visit Green Lung Of KL
Kuala Lumpur is the only city in the world that has a natural rainforest situated right at its centre. The KL Forest Eco Park (formerly know as the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve) was gazetted as a forest reserve in 1906 and is one of the oldest in Malaysia. Situated near the forest is one of the city's skyline icons, the Kuala Lumpur Tower, which was constructed with utmost attention being paid to the environment to ensure that the natural surroundings of KL Forest Eco Park remain undisturbed.

Tree Top Canopy Walk @ KL Forest Eco Park | Best Free Thing to do in Kuala Lumpur (2019) BUKIT NANAS
The KL Eco Forest Reserve is a great place to experience a bit of nature and greenery in the middle of KL. Entry is totally free and you can walk along the ground paths or the canopy walk. Both are really cool and completely safe. The park is small, the walk can be done in about 30 minutes. But it's still super nice and absolutely worth it.
Also known as Bukit Nanas KL Rainforest, located directly below the KL Towe(a.k.a. Menara KL). This city jungle is very special as it is the only patch of rainforest still preserved in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City. Despite being in the heart of the city centre, you wouldn't know it.
The rainforest and KL canopy walk is free. KL Forest Eco Park (Bukit Nanas) has to be the best free thing to do in Kuala Lumpur!
At the end of the canopy trail, you will find yourself right at the base of the KL Tower (a.k.a. Menara KL Tower!. It is the 7th tallest tower in the world, definitely go up and see the best views of the cityscape.

BEST VIEW of KUALA LUMPUR! + KL Forest Eco Park & KL Tower (WeWillNomad)
The majestic Petronas Towers are STILL the tallest twin towers in the world and remain a magnificent addition to the Kuala Lumpur skyline. Now, you may consider coughing up the hefty fee to go up the Towers, but we recommend going to the Menara KL Tower from where you get a stunning view over the whole of Kuala Lumpur, including the beautiful Petronas Twin Towers! You can of course also just enjoy the beauty of the towers for free from the surrounding KLCC Park.
In the video, we also show a (not so) secret spot to enjoy a sundowner with a stunning view of the city.
KL FOREST ECO PARK (
A wonderful example of a lush green jungle which has been retaining within the modern concrete jungle of Kuala Lumpur. Entry to the park is free (although not all entrances are in use!) and there is even a fairly extensive Canopy Walk which might not be recommended for those with a fear of heights, but which gives a wonderful view and feeling of immersion in the jungle. There are a few other options of paths, most of which are shady, just remember your anti-mosquito spray! A nice place to spend a few hours while visiting the KL Tower or if you just want to escape the city and enjoy nature.
KL TOWER (
The antenna of the Menara KL Tower reaches 421m high and elegantly towers over the city of Kuala Lumpur. The KL Tower offers many experiences and attractions, including an observation deck which offers magnificent views over Kuala Lumpur and of the Petronas Twin Towers. Perched on a hill, you can even get a fair view just from walking around the base of the tower for free, and enjoy the KL Forest Eco Park while you are there.

Kuala Lumpur Vlog#17-Canopy Walk in KL Forest Eco Park Free Adventure
Canopy walk is the most interesting attraction of KL forest eco park (TERKL). This 170-metres long bridge runs across a valley cultivated with various species of rainforest trees. Canopy walk is the most interesting attraction of Bukit Nanas. Bukit Nanas (meaning Pineapple hill) is a very old forest protected and maintained at the heart of the city just by the side of KL Tower. It is a great fun and adventure to walk on the hanging bridges on top of the forests. Most interestingly it is free and on my opinion it is one of the top 10 places to visit in Kuala Lumpur.
KL FOREST ECO PARK. CANOPY WALK in KL ECO FOREST
KL Forest Eco Park, formerly known as Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve (Bukit Nanas = Pineapple Hill). This KL Forest Eco Park is a small hill (only about 10 hectares). It contains the only virgin tropical rain forest left in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. This KL Forest Eco Park was declared as Reserve Park in 1906. Now it open to the public and free entrance. Opening Hours are from 7am to 7pm daily. The majestic KL Tower is within the KL Forest Eco-Reserve, facing the Upper Hill Entrance of the forest. So if you like, you can organize your visit to cover both places in one day.
We took a walk on the suspension bridge (canopy walk). The Canopy walk is a fantastic experience. While walking on the bridge, we can observe the beautiful rain forest from the treetops and the Kuala Lumpur city skyscrapers.
We were really enjoyed this visit, and very recommended to you.

Kuala Lumpur Vlog#16-Kuala Lumpur local Bus | Jakel Mall to Bukit Nanas | KL forest Eco Park
From Jalan Munsi Abdulah we took a local bus to Bukit Nanas. From Bukit Nanas we took a walk to KL forest Eco Park. We preferred to go like this (instead of taking a taxi) as we liked to enjoy the road view of the beautiful city. You can also see the Roadview of Kuala lumpur and different places on the way.
KL Forest Eco Park (Taman Eko Rimba or TERKL) is just by the side of KL Tower. The forest is on Bukit Nanas (Bukit means hill, Nanas means pine apple). It is a very old forest protected and maintained at the heart of the city. Canopy walk is the most interesting attraction of Bukit Nanas. It is a great fun, adventure just by the side of KL tower. While KL tower ticket is 99 ringit, entry to KL forest eco park is free of cost (no tickets so far).
Canopy walk at KL Forest Eco Park | Taman Eko Rimba KL | Kuala Lumpur | Malaysia Travel Vlog
This is my second visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia , one of my favourite destinations in South-East Asia. Right close to the Bukit Nanas metro station, there is an eco park (also called as Taman Eko Rimba KL). This park is the only remaining stretch of tropical rainforest within the city limits of KL.
In this video, I also visit KLCC famous for the twin towers and the Pavilion, Bukit Bintang at night.
