IK Foundation presents: Power to the Girls
Impatiens Kilimanjari Foundation and Ladies Trekking Club support the school education of Maasai girls in Tanzania. This is a video about the 10 Maasai girls whose tuition fee we supported in 2013 and 2014. The school year will be over soon and we would like these girls to continue their studies.
We are looking for motivated companies or private persons who would be willing to help 10 Maasai girls to continue their studies in the Mwedo School also in 2015. Please contact us directly - info@ikfoundation.com
In March 2013 Nadia Marquard Otzen climbed Kilimanjaro to photograph a book, Dreamers and Doers which purpose is to fund and promote education in Tanzania. After climbing Nadia stayed at MWEDO - a secondary school for Maasai girls outside Arusha in Tanzania. Her aim was to capture the lives of the girls and shoot a film which could be part of the wave of creating awareness about girls around the world in association with the Chime For Change Concert featuring Beyonce, Madonna, Florence and the Machine, and many more. The music is by Canadian artist Lowell and Danish producer STOFFER, additional contributions from Finish Post, Jelly Animation and Movietech.
