Amsterdam Single Viewer Gallery
The Single Viewer Gallery is a gesture of decontextualizing - the opposite of Marcel Duchamp's idea in which he placed a profane object in a sacral space, as The Single Viewer Gallery places sacral objects in the profane space of a toilet, thus making it sacral too.
Conceptual tradition was often associated with the development of the profane (Joseph Kosuth's chair, Ilya Kabakov's toilet, etc.). However, the Single Viewer Gallery is different from the above mentioned. Located outside the conventional space of a museum or a gallery, Single Viewer Gallery completely breaks down the exhibiting context, but does not break its functionality of everyday life, in the same time remaining a permanent exhibition space and not just a one-off project.
The Single Viewer Gallery already exists in Moscow and it is located in the wc of Arkady Nasonov's prived appartment (
The opening of AMSTERDAM SINGLE VIEWER GALLERY is an initiative of Studio Kinematix in the frame of their project Priceless Art Enterprise.

The NY-AMS Pop-Up Show in the Peter Klashorst Gallery

in New York tentoonstellen.
De show is te zien van 6 tot 13 oktober 2012. Op deze data zal de
galerie open zijn voor een vernissage tussen 16.00-20.00 uur.

Urban Art Festival Amsterdam
Street Art Anarchy went to the Amsterdam Urban Art Festival on May 30th 2014 to catch a quick peek at the Dutch urban art scene.
This 2nd edition of the festival featured over 40 international artists. Street Art Anarchy also exhibited original works from artists See One and Patch Whisky, along with a very limited series of artist t-shirts created excluvely for the event by Sheryo & The Yok, Patch Whisky and See One.
Peter Klashorst's Art Show, Paleisstraat 107 Amsterdam. #528.
Peter Klashorst is a gifted painter, very fast and with very little means. He is a real bohemian and traveler, For this show, he flew to Amsterdam with his unframed paintings, he uses all the materials (paint) he can get and he works anywhere, hotel room, outside etc, etc. He doesn't have the luxury of fancy canvases he paints where is possible.
The copyright of these pictures are for Peter Klaashorst, I only film them with no intentions of commercial exploitation.
SOLIPMISSION x ADE: Trailer
Art & VR meet in WeMakeVR & Dadara’s “Solipmission”
At Burning Man 2017, three people (one of which renowned Dutch artist Dadara) resided inside a giant black box for the duration of the festival, without seeing the outside world. They turned hundreds of conversations with “Burners” into an artpiece. A team of four VR- makers from WeMakeVR worked around the clock for a week to document these interactions, and everything that happened inside and outside the Box. The goal of the project: “To explore the age-old question “What is Reality?”
After a year of working through countless hours of virtual reality data they are now ready to present the three-part result: a documentary about the people inside the box, a 360-documentary about the Burner’s view, and a interactive VR-installation which allows visitors to explore the stories behind the dozens of artworks captured in the artwork. Even though the physical artpiece is no more, the combination of these three artworks provides a unique experience which together form the culmination of the Solipmission’s two-year journey.
The final result will be premiered at October 19th at Hotel Arena, as part of the ADE festival.
Initiators Avinash Changa (WeMakeVR) and Dadara will be present, as will the team who resided inside the box, and the team behind the three final pieces.
