KL Sentral - the Malaysia’s largest transit hub
KL Sentral - Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur Sentral is An exclusive urban centre built around Malaysia’s largest transit hub and offering global connectivity
The blueprint of Kuala Lumpur Sentral began with the masterplan of a “City-within-a-City” concept designed by the renowned architect Dr. Kisho Kurokawa.
KL Sentral supports 7 rail networks:
KLIA Express Rail Link, KLIA Transit, RAPID KL, KTM Komuter, KTM Intercity, KL Monorail Services and MRT System
KL Sentral offering global connectivity and seamlessly linking all urban and suburban residential, commercial and industrial areas.
It is also a direct link to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and key areas within the Multimedia Super Corridor.
Such amazing connectivity has been established through direct access to 7 rail systems and links to major highways.
KL Sentral is a world-class city comprising Stesen Sentral, corporate office towers and business suites, 5-star international hotels, luxury condominiums and a shopping mall.
KL Sentral is also one of the largest commercial development in Kuala Lumpur today.
With the growing population, KL Sentral continues to cater to specific needs of its tenants, residents as well as other stakeholders especially to enhance the parking facilities and increase provision for more.

This is a travel video of us boarding the LRT from KL Sentral Station to KLCC at night to see the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We were lucky enough to get to the front of the train where we could film out of the window with our camcorder on a tripod. The footage captured here is in high speed motion. Kuala Lumpur Sentral (KL Sentral) or Sentral Kuala Lumpur is a transit-oriented development that houses the main railway station of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Opened on 16 April 2001, despite its name it is actually even less central than the old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, a colonial-era landmark that now remains open for local commuter trains only. KL Sentral is the largest railway station in Southeast Asia.[1]
KL Sentral was designed as an intermodal transportation hub. Most of Kuala Lumpur's passenger rail lines serve KL Sentral, while many intercity trains serving Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore start there. All the railway components of the scheme have been completed, but some other parts such as shopping malls, offices and apartments are still under construction and are expected to be complete by 2015.[2] It was also designed to be a new business and financial hub for Kuala Lumpur.
KLCC LRT station is an underground rapid transit station served by the Kelana Jaya Line.
It is located in the basement of Avenue K, a shopping mall along Jalan Ampang. A pedestrian subway links the station to Suria KLCC and the rest of the KLCC development which includes the Petronas Twin Towers, Maxis Tower and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The pedestrian walkway linking between the Petronas Twin Towers and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping centre was launched in January 2012. [1]
Located outside the station, along Jalan Ampang and Jalan P Ramlee, is the KLCC bus hub.
Located right in the middle of the city, and so close to many landmarks, this is one of the busiest stations on the LRT system. It is packed especially on weekends and school holidays.
There is a facility for purchasing and reloading the Touch 'n Go card in this station:

Full Train Journey: KTM Komuter Kuala Lumpur to Batu Caves - Seramban Line
This is a video of me taking the KTM Komuter Seremban Line from the old Kuala Lumpur station to Batu Caves, a very popular tourist attraction. I took the 9:44am train and it arrived on time. However, it had to stay at the station for just over 7 minutes waiting for the signal to clear. Once the train sets off, it takes 28 minutes to reach Batu Caves.
The old Kuala Lumpur station is also served by a wide variety of commuter and KTM Intercity trains, including the blue Seremban Line (Line 1), red Port Klang Line (Line 2) and KTM ETS services which go all the way up to Butterworth in Penang and Padang Besar at the border with Thailand. There are currently no direct trains to Johor Bahru (JB Sentral) at the border with Singapore, since the train tracks are currently being electrified. Southbound trains currently go as far as Gemas as a result.
On my way to the Batu Caves, the train stopped at 6 stations along the way: Bank Negara, Putra, Sentul, Batu Kantonmen, Kampung Batu and Taman Wahyu. The entire journey is above ground, so I was able to enjoy some scenery on my way to the Batu Caves, located in the northern end of the city
There were loads of people visiting the Batu Caves that day, resulting in long queues to leave the station. The entrance to the caves is a 5 minute walk away from the station, which is just as well since I then had to climb over 200 steps to get enter the actual Batu Caves!
