Difficult Campground - Aspen Colorado
Difficult Campground is the largest in the Aspen area and also the closest to town.
**Note** In this video sites 16 & 17 are mislabeled. Site 17 is on the right and 16 is on the left.
Difficult Campground Info
* Elevation: 8075 ft
* Fee per Night: $26
* Total Campsites: 47 Sites
* Reservations are accepted up to 6 months in advance for most sites at Difficult CG
* Sites 35, 37, 39, 41, & 43 are closest to the Roaring Fork River
* Pull-Thru Sites: 5-7, 11, 14, & 17
* 50 ft maximum vehicle length. ** 35ft max length to go over Independence Pass. Vehicles over 35 ft must go thru Aspen and not over Indy Pass.
* 7 Day Stay Limit
* Open Mid May thru Late September
*No Cell Service with Verizon or AT&T
* Area Activities
* Hiking - The Collegiate Peaks Wilderness Area is south of the campground and to the north lies the Hunter-Fryingpan Wilderness Area.

* History - The ghost town of Independence is 12 miles up the highway to the east. Guided tours are available in the summer.
* Scenery - Independence Pass is 15.7 miles up the highway to the east.
* Fishing - The Roaring Fork River is accessible in the Day Use Area as well as behind some campsites.

Hiking to North Halfmoon Lakes in Colorado
Scenes from a July 2014 hike to North Halfmoon Lakes in the Mount Massive Wilderness in the San Isabel National Forest near Leadville, Colorado. Starting from a trailhead at the end of a long, bumpy dirt road, the trail to the alpine lakes is about three miles and climbs to nearly 12,500 feet. Shot with a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition and an iPhone 5s.

Aspen, Colorado: Highland Peak Hike
Aspen Colorado, Highland Peak Hike - Myself and two friends ventured to the top of Highland Peak. I had planned to speed the video up but the scenic views were too beautiful. I also had to put in background music, otherwise all you hear is someone not used to the altitude huffing and puffing their way to the top. Enjoy.
We had planned to record the trip down but my GoPro ran out of battery.
