Follow along as I enjoy a bike ride and educational tour of Linz, Austria, and then hop a bus to Salzburg, Vienna.
Listen to the church bells ring, and come with me on a cable car to view the entire city of Salzburg.
Guests are able to enjoy a walking tour of the second largest city in Austria or choose a guided bike tour that will show you around the Old City Center, along the Danube River, and past the ultra-modern Ars Electronica Center.
In the afternoon, you will have a choice of three different excursions.
-Excursion to Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace, where you will take a walking tour of the historic center made famous by The Sound of Music.”
`Excursion to the Czech town of Cesky Krumlov, a wonderfully preserved medieval town nestled in the hills just over the Austrian-Czech border.
-Visit to the Austrian Lake District, the scenic Salzkammergut region.
All three regions are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Nach Jois, Parndorf, Wien, Salzburg und Kitzbühel erobert Leo Hillinger mit seinen Wineshop & Bars nun auch Linz. Zur großen Eröffnung gab’s die Premiere des 2015er Jungweins First HILL White und „Leo’s Underground Secrets“ wurden gelüftet.
Linz. Er sucht sich das Umfeld für seine Wineshops und Bars bekanntermaßen immer sehr gezielt und durchdacht aus. Die Rede ist von Leo Hillinger, dem Winzer aus dem Burgenland, der gerne mal andere Wege einschlägt. Bei den Überlegungen für Linz, war der Standort in der Linzer Klosterstraße neben einigen anderen Angeboten in der Landeshauptstadt absolut die erste Wahl – insbesondere aufgrund seiner Top-Lage beim Linzer Hauptplatz und nicht zuletzt auch wegen der großen Bekanntheit der Vinothek ignis die hier vorher zuhause war.
RUNDUMVERSORGUNG MIT BEST OF BURGENLAND & NIEDERÖSTERREICH
Hillinger schließt im Hinblick auf seine Wineshops & Bars mit diesem 7. Lokal die geografische Lücke zwischen dem Osten und dem Westen Österreichs. Und auch die Nr. 8 ist bereits in Planung und wird an einem neuen Standort in München demnächst folgen.
In Linz setzt der Paradewinzer auf die bekannte HILL-Rundumversorgung von Snacks und Imbissen aller Art bis hin zum gemütlichen After-Work-„Glaserl“. Die Speisenbegleitung aus der eigenen Küche beinhaltet unter anderem Spezialitäten vom Mangalitzaschwein. Die bestehende Kooperation mit dem Nachbarn L’Osteria wird weitergeführt und ausgebaut. Leo Hillinger präsentiert wie bereits von seinen anderen Flagshipstores gewohnt, alle seine Produkte und es gibt die gesamte HILL Wein Range samt Spezialitäten und Zusatzprodukten im Shop zu Ab-Hof Preisen. Beim Sortiment in Linz wird es aber erstmals auch ein starkes Miteinander der beiden Premium-Marken Leo Hillinger und Franz Anton Mayer geben. Unter dem Titel „Leo’s Underground Secrets“, bleibt zudem das Angbeot an ausgewählten, internationalen Raritäten im Keller des Wineshops erhalten.
Die Gäste erwartet also eine breite und spannende Palette an Qualitätsweinen, frei nach dem Motto:
Best of Niederösterreich und Burgenland. Abgerundet wird das Österreich-Vollsortiment mit einer Auswahl von Weinen der heimischen Top-10 Winzer. Regelmäßige, saisonale Special Events wie Gansl- oder Spargel-Essen, jeden Donnerstag ein Ladies Day und Öffnungszeiten von Mo. – Sa. von 11:00 h – 24:00 h, vervollständigen das Konzept von Hillinger in Linz.

Vienna to Venice by railjet train from €29

The Austria Trend Hotel Schillerpark is a four star Hotel in Linz, Austria. It is located between the main train station and the river Danube.
Austrian Western Railway - up to 230km/h ÖBB Westbahn - fast and freight train traffic [4K]
Austrian Western Railway (Österreich Westbahn) is one of the major railway lines in Austria. It connects Vienna with Salzburg via St. Pölten, Amstetten, St. Valentin, Enns, Linz and Wels. At its most part this is 4 track line. 2 tracks date from Old Western Railway (Alte Westbahn). New Western Railway (Neue Westbahn) has 2 new railway tracks which allow higher train speeds. Maximum allowed speed is 250km/h, but trains operate at a maximum speed of 230km/h. Only Railjet and ICE train sets can achieve this speed. Other trains, like Westbahn Stadler KISS double-decker trains ride up to 200km/h. This tracks used by freight train traffic too.
This video shows most of rail traffic at this part of ÖBB Infrastrukture. There are ÖBB Railjet trains, DB and ÖBB ICE EMU trains, Westbahn Stadler KISS double-decker EMU trains, ÖBB regio and regio express trains and various freight trains. The surprise during the recording was new DB ICE 4 train, which is also shown in the video. Recordings were made at several locations along this line, between St. Pölten and Linz mainly near Amstetten, Aschbach, Krenstetten-Biberbach bahnhof, St.Peter-Seitenstetten, St.Valentin and between Linz and Wels, at Pasching and Hörsching.
