Lynn Massachusetts 1881 Panoramic Bird's Eye View Map 7016
Panoramic Maps, also known as Bird's Eye View, aerial view, or perspective maps. These were a popular form of art at the turn of the 20th century depicting a city's key points of interest.
Unlike traditional maps, Panoramic maps often highlighted the commercial aspects of a town, while also clearly showing many local residences.
I've had a lot fun looking up places I've been to on these maps -- and I've gotta say - It's amazing just how much things change -- and also how much things stay the same.

I can't, I just wanted to be here, I just felt like I lost a family member.

STORYLINE:
Streams of mourners continued to file past the casket of US Senator Edward Kennedy on Thursday as he lay in repose at his slain brother's presidential library.
Mourners were paying their respects to one of the longest-serving US lawmakers and the last political giant of the Kennedy family.
As many as 12-thousand people waited in line at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, lining up for hours before the doors opened around 6 p.m. (2200 GMT).
Officials were allowing people to enter in groups of 35 to 40.
The motorcade carrying Senator Kennedy's body had left earlier on Thursday, from his home in Cape Cod, to make the 70-mile (115-kilometre) journey to the JFK library in Boston.
Among those accompanying Kennedy were nieces Caroline, daughter of former President John F. Kennedy, and Maria Shriver, daughter of his late sister Eunice; and his son Patrick Kennedy, a Rhode Island congressman.
As the motorcade arrived in Boston, thousands lined the streets, applauding and cheering its arrival.
Waiting in line outside the JFK library, many people spoke of their great sadness.
I just wanted to be here, I just felt like I lost a family member, one woman said.
Inside, Kennedy family members greeted mourners as they paid their respects.
A private memorial service is planned at the library on Friday evening followed by a funeral Mass on Saturday morning at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica, commonly known as the Mission Church, in Boston.
US President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak at the funeral.

Author of 'Evil Archaeology', Dr. Heather Lynn joins Dave on the show for the first time. Discussion includes; a prehistoric fertility goddess, exploration of #vampires , the origins of demons, are curses real and much more. Please visit beyondthestrange.com for time, links and chat. Stay Strange!
Dr. Heather Lynn is an author, historian, and renegade archaeologist, on a quest to uncover the truth behind ancient mysteries. Heather has explored the reaches of the unknown on a personal quest to find the truth about human origins. She broke away from mainstream academia after realizing that much of what we know about our history is based solely on the consensus of elite, often politically motivated, individuals and institutions. Now, Heather is on a mission to expose our hidden history, challenging the accepted narrative found in our history books.
While an undergraduate, she discovered the extent of how deep academic corruption could go. After earning her associate degree in archaeology, she continued to study anthropology and history, earning her MA in History. Her thesis examined the intersection of class inequality, consumer culture, propaganda, and public education in Early Modern Europe. She went on to pursue her doctorate in education at the University of New England. Her dissertation raises questions about the pedagogical value of digital technologies in museums. As a life-long learner, she regularly participates in professional development courses and holds certificates in Human Osteoarchaeology from Leiden University and Archeoastronomy from Politecnico di Milano.
After much soul searching, she turned down a traditional position in academia to venture down a more spiritually rewarding path, becoming an ordained minister and earning an additional doctorate in Comparative Religion. Heather is a member of multiple professional organizations, including: the American Historical Association, the Society for Historical Archaeology (SHA), Association of Ancient Historians, and World Archaeological Congress. Although Heather Lynn is a scholar, it is her open-minded approach that makes her a true renegade. Her research includes hidden history, ancient mysteries, mythology, folklore, the occult, symbolism, paleocontact, and consciousness.
In addition to regular appearances on podcasts and radio programs like Coast to Coast AM, Heather Lynn has been a historical consultant for television programs, including History’s Ancient Aliens. Her own show, Digging Deeper, is now available on YouTube, iTunes, TuneIn, Stitcher, and Spotify.
In her spare time, she plays the French horn in a local symphony orchestra whose performances raise money to provide art and cultural education to low-income communities. She loves, classical music, tennis, and a good cup of tea.

The Stuff You Do Not See: Conservation for a Renovated Museum
Lynn Grant, Head Conservator
In the Summer of 2018, the Lower Egyptian (Sphinx) Gallery was closed to the public. Why? What’s been happening with all the stuff in there since then? Head Conservator Lynn Grant will talk about the monumental – in every sense of the word – task of conserving the large architectural pieces for installation in the renewed Egyptian Galleries. See what’s been holding up the Sphinx for the last 92 years and learn how we’ll be dealing with the objects too large to leave the building.
