This is a trip to HCMC Vietnam in January 2018 with my friends! Booked airport shuttle to our hotel, Lele Hotel. We spent 4D3N there and we spent most of our money on food and shopping! Thankfully there's a Malaysian Street in HCMC which makes halal food easily accessible. We did most of our shopping at the infamous Ben Thanh market and the night market outside it! Definitely all our luggage were full when we went back to SG but it was definitely a good time spent with friends!

After traveling through India for a month, it's nice to finally meet up with Misha again! We traveled together in Thailand for two months and now we have one more month in Vietnam together before Misha returns back home to the States.
Starting in Ho Chi Minh City, I fly to Da Nang to meet Misha. In the upcoming vlogs, you'll see us travel to Hoi An, Hue, Hanoi and an epic motorbike adventure through what's called the Northern Loop starting in Ha Giang.

HO CHI MINH - THE LARGEST CITY IN VIETNAM | TRAVEL GUIDES 2018
- Click Subscribe and come travel with us!
- Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is Vietnam at its most dizzying: a high-octane city of commerce and culture that has driven the country forward with its pulsating energy. A chaotic whirl, the city breathes life and vitality into all who settle here, and visitors cannot help but be hauled along for the ride.
- From the finest of hotels to the cheapest of guest-houses, the classiest of restaurants to the tastiest of street stalls, the choicest of boutiques to the scrum of the markets, HCMC is a city of energy and discovery.
- Wander through timeless alleys to incense-infused temples before negotiating chic designer malls beneath sleek 21st-century skyscrapers. The ghosts of the past live on in buildings that one generation ago witnessed a city in turmoil, but now the real beauty of the former Saigon’s urban collage is the seamless blending of these two worlds into one exciting mass.

Cu Chi Tunnels, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Business coach and world traveler Bailey Richert demonstrates exactly how narrow the entrances were to the Viet Cong tunnel system known as the Cu Chi Tunnels.
During the Vietnam War, the Viet Cong would use a system of underground tunnels to hide from the American military during day light hours. At night, they would emerge and attack. Today, you can visit the tunnel systems and see if you could fit inside.

CU CHI TUNNELS HO CHI MINH CITY VIETNAM, VV 2004 TRIP
The tunnels of Củ Chi are an immense network of connecting underground tunnels located in the Củ Chi district of Vietnam, and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. The Củ Chi tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, and were the National Front for the Liberation of Vietnam base of operations for the Tết Offensive in 1968. The tunnels were used by NLF guerrillas as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters. The role of the tunnel systems should not be underestimated in its importance to the NLFg in resisting American operations and protracting the war, eventually persuading the weary Americans into withdrawal.
The district of Củ Chi is located 40 kilometers to the northwest of Saigon near the so-called Iron Triangle.
