Rome Italy Travel Guide Part 1 (The Colesseum, Circus Maximus and more)
Visiting Rome is one of my favourite travel here in Europe. Its one beautiful city. On summer can it be packed with travellers visiting Rome. In this video we will feature the first part of the travel and that is roaming around the Colesseum, Circus Maximus and some tourist spots around the amphitheater.

The Circus Maximus (Latin for greatest or largest circus, in Italian Circo Massimo) is an ancient Roman chariot racing stadium and mass entertainment venue located in Rome, Italy. Situated in the valley between the Aventine and Palatine hills, it was the first and largest stadium in ancient Rome and its later Empire. It measured 621 m (2,037 ft) in length and 118 m (387 ft) in width and could accommodate over 150,000 spectators.[1] In its fully developed form, it became the model for circuses throughout the Roman Empire. The site is now a public park.

You'll probably never forget your first glimpse of the Colosseum (Colosseo), one of the world's most famous buildings. As you get to know Rome, the huge arena may slide down your list of Rome priorities, but its initial impact is overwhelming.
The building, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, received its more common name from a giant statue, or colossus, of Nero, which stood close to the spot. Designed to replace the excesses of Nero's unpopular Domus Aurea (or Golden House), the Colosseum was begun by Vespasian and inaugurated after his death in 79AD by his son Titus. Up to 50,000 spectators enjoyed immense gladiatorial shows of death and violence. They entered through numbered arches - the Roman numerals above the entrances are still visible in places. Later the Colosseum was denuded by popes who wanted to use its marble elsewhere; it was also damaged by an earthquake.

Rome Colosseum and Vatican Museum
My tour at the Rome Colosseum and at the Vatican Museum by night (Friday nights, some months), I totally recommend both. Filmed on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus and edited with YouTube editor to a creative commons George Frederic Handel Sarabande music overplay.

Rome, City Tour by Bus - Italy 4K Travel Channel
In Rome, as well as in other other cities, a city tour by bus is a good opportunity to get a first overview of the city.
The bus departs from Termini (the main station), where you can admire the Baths of Diocletian. From there we drive directly to the Piazza Venezia, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum and along the Circus Maximus back to Piazza Venezia.
Across the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II the route continues to the Vatican and back to the Castel Sant' Angelo. The city tour by bus ends at Termini.

In Rom, aber auch in anderen Städten ist eine Stadtrundfahrt mit dem Bus eine gute Gelegenheit sich einen ersten Überblick zu verschaffen.
Der Bus startet am Termini, wo man gleich die Diokletian Thermen bewundern kann. Von dort geht es direkt zum Piazza Venetia, dem Forum Romanum, dem Kolosseum und entlang des Zirkus Maximus wieder zum Piazza Venezia.
Über den Corso Vittorio Emanuele II führt die Strecke direkt zum Vatikan und zurück zur Engelsburg. Nun geht es zurück zum Termini.
