Rome (Roma) is the capital of Italy the country's largest and most populated commune.
The Vatican City is an independent country within the city boundaries of Rome. Rome's history is more than two and half thousand years old and is the oldest continuously occupied cities in Europe.
The Pantheon is one of the best-preserved of all Roman buildings. It has been in continuous use throughout its history, and since the 7th century, the Pantheon has been used as a Roman Catholic church dedicated to St. Mary and the Martyrs but informally known as Santa Maria Rotonda.
Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi) is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world.
The Colosseum or Coliseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre in the center of the city of Rome, Italy. It was built by Vespasiano at the beginning of 72 a.d. and ended in 80. It entertained the people with gladiatorial combats and fights with wild beasts.

What better way to start off an evening in Rome than an Italian Wine & Cheese Tasting! Our professional sommelier will welcome you in a historic traditional enoteca (wine bar) located near the Colosseum. Here, you'll get to taste three regional Italian wines paired with local Italian cheeses and cured meats, like Roman ricotta made from Pecorino Romano, premium salami and prosciutto, or Italy's famous porchetta, a slow roasted pork stuffed with wild herbs.
You will learn how to taste the wines, the differences between their varying colors and aromas, and why they pair best with certain foods. Your sommelier will also give you an introduction to the wine-making process and the regions where these wines are produced as you taste their unique wines.
This Italian Wine Tasting will help you to know more about Italian wines and is the perfect pre-dinner activity to begin a fun evening out in Rome.
