Bradfield Campground along the Dolores River in SW Colorado
Bradfield Campground, also known as Bradfield Bridge Campground is located on the Dolores River 12 miles downstream from the McPhee Reservoir Dam. While there is not much shade, the campsites are spaced far enough apart that you won't feel crowded. Many of the campsites have a nice shelter over the picnic table. The boat ramp at the campground entrance provides rafting access to 96+ miles of the Dolores River. In addition to boating and fishing, Bradfield Campground would make a nice base camp for those wanting to explore Canyon of the Ancients National Monument or Utah's Hovenweep National Monument.

Sarah S.'s Review on The Dyrt:
▶︎ Found a great private site!!
We loved staying at site #6. It is totally private and really peaceful. It doesn't overlook the McPhee Reservoir like some of the other sites but the privacy made up for that. We saw about 10 deer during our stay - they were everywhere! Try to get site #6 unless you are camping on the other loop, where they have some really nice walk-in sites which do overlook the water.
