Virtual Treadmill Walk - Moore Park, Klamath Falls - Oregon USA
Just got back from the US with the wife visiting family and friends, and took the video camera along to record a couple of treadmill walks. Today we're visiting Moore Park in Klamath Falls OR.
Located at the south end of Upper Klamath Lake off of Lakeshore Drive in Klamath Falls, Oregon. This City park is adjacent to Putnam's Point, which is across from the north end of the Link River Trail. One of the jewels in the City of Klamath Falls' parks system.
I have been asked by a couple of viewers if it was possible to leave the original sound intact. Usually I find it either overly windy, or that I'm having a conversation with my wife who is following me with our dog Buddy. Obviously you can always turn the volume down and play your favourite music instead :)
I am planning to do more walks/runs etc in the near future. So please let me know if you have any suggestions for the channel, as I'd love to hear from you :)

I grew up just a few blocks away from this old steel bridge, listened to many a train load of timber roll to the mill late at night and early mornings. Ice skated under it in the winter and watched some jump from it in the summer. A shame the railroad could not have been kept as a railroad trail and had locomotives run on it ...

Klamath Falls Trip 2014
This years bike and camp trip was to the OC&E Woodsline Trail in South Central Oregon. A great trip with some very tough rides. This trail is beautiful, but remote and lightly used. The trail condition changes with every gate passing and in some sections the miles come very tough. Areas of open range ment we had to get cattle to move out of our way to pass, the cows had torn up the gravel trail to dust. Sore bodies and forest fires in the area kept us from seeing the last 50 miles, but by all reports this trail gets tougher and tougher the farther out you go. Check it out...

Collaboration is in the fabric of Klamath County, the fourth largest county in the state of Oregon which spans 6,135 square miles. Partners come together to improve high school graduation rates for all students, build a strong cadre of local, skilled workers through job training, and attract new businesses. Leaders from law enforcement and mental health agencies have teamed up to provide alternatives to incarceration and build stronger police-community relations by increasing positive interactions with residents. Bilingual community health workers and a rural health care residency program are working to remove barriers to health care. Community leaders and organizations address housing challenges by incentivizing exterior home improvement through mini grants to residents in low-income neighborhoods. Local leaders also drive the development of trails and green space through geographic information system mapping.
