KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.-- Klamath County Sheriff Frank Skrah states that he will not drop his lawsuit until the Klamath County Board of Commissioners repays him his attorney fees and an agreement is reached that they allow me to run the day to day operations of the Sheriff's Office, according to a letter to the Board.
Sheriff Skrah sent out a letter prior to this announcement. In the first letter, he says he has done no wrong and will not run from and(sic) issue. He also reiterates that he has no idea what the Department of Justice investigation is about.
In the second, Sheriff Skrah says that he is happy that the Board reinstated the seven deputies placed on leave, but wishes that he had been consulted. He says that the Board's agreement has no purpose but to demonstrate... how little the Board understands.
Sheriff Skrah also states that he did not commit any unfair labor practices, and that placing Corporal Krag back on his work schedule will be detrimental to the Sheriff's Office.
He states that he placed his personal money into a trust account with attorneys so I could retain them to ensure the public safety. He says he is entitled to payment from the Public Safety Department's General Fund Non-Departmental budget for the fees.
He ends his letter saying he has no doubt that he and the Board can work together.
