My Reclamation the new song by Sam Harris
An anthem for marriage equality, gay and civil rights!
The Cathedral of Hope is a predominantly LGBT congregation located in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, Texas (United States). The Dallas Cathedral of Hope is said to be the world's largest inclusive liberal Christian church with a primary outreach to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons, with a membership of approximately 4,000 local members. Additional campuses are located in Houston and Oklahoma City, and its national outreach program reaches a further audience nationwide. Cathedral of Hope (CoH) joined the United Church of Christ in February 2007, having previously been the flagship congregation of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches. Construction is currently underway on the Cathedral of Hope's Interfaith Peace Chapel, designed by the late world renowned architect Philip Johnson (Alan Ritchie Architects), to be complete in September of 2010. Dedication of the building is scheduled for November 7, 2010.
The current senior pastor is Rev. Dr. Jo Hudson, an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and a graduate of Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. Hudson was called to the Cathedral in August 2004 and was elected Senior Pastor in February 2005. She succeeded Rev. Michael Piazza, who was elected Senior Pastor in 1987, and retired from that position upon Rev. Dr. Hudson's election.
The CoH UCC is engaged in a long-range goal of expanding its facilities on its Cedar Springs campus. Architect Philip Johnson was commissioned in 1995 to create an Interfaith Peace Chapel and a new church with seating for 2,000. The Cathedral of Hope continues to raise funds for these projects, and broke ground on the Chapel in 2007.
The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center is a concert hall located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, Texas (USA). Ranked one of the world's greatest orchestra halls,[1] it was designed by architect I.M. Pei and acoustician Russell Johnson's Artec Consultants, Inc. and opened in September 1989.
The Center is named for Morton H Meyerson, arts patron and business partner of Ross Perot, who provided $10 million in funds for its construction. It is the permanent home of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the Dallas Symphony Chorus, as well as the primary performing venue of the Dallas Wind Symphony as well as several other Dallas based musical organizations. The Meyerson Symphony Center is owned and managed by the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs.
Take My Hand, Precious Lord (aka Precious Lord, Take My Hand) is a gospel song, lyrics by Rev. Thomas A. Dorsey (1899-1993), melody by George Nelson Allen (1812-1877).
You'll Never Walk Alone is a show tune from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, Carousel.
Over the Rainbow (often referred to as Somewhere Over the Rainbow) is a classic ballad song with music by Harold Arlen and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg. It was written for the movie The Wizard of Oz, and was sung by Judy Garland in that movie. Over time it would become Garland's and Sam's signature song.

Living in Uptown / Downtown | The Best Neighborhoods in Dallas
Uptown is an upscale neighborhood in Dallas, Texas that is adjacent-to and north-of downtown Dallas. Bordered by US 75 (Central Expressway) on the east, N Haskell Avenue on the northeast, Katy Trail on the northwest, Bookhout Street and Cedar Springs Road on the west, N Akard Street on the southwest and Woodall Rodgers Freeway on the south.
Nowhere else in Dallas can prospective homebuyers find the wide variety of quality housing options found than in Uptown, with its luxury townhomes, condominiums and even historic homes for sale. Popular with a diverse group of young professionals, multi-use development is the norm and an increasingly pedestrian culture continues to thrive. Every weekend and even on many weekday evenings, hundreds of people walk the well-lit, tree-lined sidewalks from restaurant to restaurant, from home to the gym, from work and home to shops and public transit via the McKinney Avenue Trolley. Uptown is one of the most pedestrian-friendly areas in all of Texas. The district is home to a variety of office buildings, residential towers, apartment complexes, retail centers, nightlife strips and hotels. This mixed-use development practice lends to what many people identify as a very urban lifestyle, unlike the compartmentalized social structures of suburban bedroom communities and office parks.
Add to that the wide variety of shopping and dining opportunities and exceptional cultural and recreational facilities in or immediately adjacent to Uptown -- from the Katy Trail to the AT&T Performing Arts Center and American Airlines Center and Uptown Dallas is one of the most popular upscale neighborhoods in Dallas.
Uptown Dallas has some of the most inspiring live performance theaters and art galleries in Dallas including Kitchen Dog Theater, Landmark's Magnolia Theatre, The McKinney Avenue Contemporary (The MAC) and Theatre Three. A few blocks south is The Arts District in Downtown Dallas which is home to 13 facilities and organizations including The Annette Strauss Artist Square, the Belo Mansion/Dallas Bar Association, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Theater Center, Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, Nasher Sculpture Center, St. Paul United Methodist Church, Fellowship Church, Trammell Crow Center, and the Trammell & Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art. In addition, multiple other organizations perform in the District on an ongoing basis. This includes everything from concerts to outdoor festivals, to lectures, youth education programs and more.

Dallas (HD)
Dallas is the third-largest city in Texas and the ninth-largest in the United States. As of 2010, the population of Dallas was at 1.4 million according to the US Census Bureau. The city is the largest economic center of the 12-county Dallas--Fort Worth--Arlington metropolitan area that according to the March 2010 U.S. Census Bureau release, had a population of roughly 6.5 million as of July 2009. The metropolitan area is the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the United States.
Founded in 1841 and formally incorporated as a city in February, 1856, the city's economy is primarily based on banking, commerce, telecommunications, computer technology, energy, and transportation, home to several Fortune 500 companies. Located in North Texas and a major city in the American South, Dallas is the core of the largest inland metropolitan area in the United States that lacks any navigable link to the sea. The city's prominence arose from its historical importance as a center for the oil and cotton industries, its position along numerous railroad lines, a strong industrial and financial sector, and its status as a major inland port (due largely to the presence of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, one of the largest and busiest in the world). It was rated as a beta world city by the Globalization and World Cities Study Group & Network.
Dallas' skyline contains several buildings over 700 feet (210 m) in height. Although some of Dallas' architecture dates from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, most of the notable architecture in the city is from the modernist and postmodernist eras. Iconic examples of modernist architecture include Reunion Tower, the JFK Memorial, I. M. Pei's Dallas City Hall and Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Good examples of postmodernist skyscrapers are in Fountain Place, Bank of America Plaza, Renaissance Tower, JPMorgan Chase Tower, and Comerica Bank Tower. Several smaller structures are fashioned in the Gothic Revival style, such as the Kirby Building, and the neoclassical style, as seen in the Davis and Wilson Buildings. One architectural hotbed in the city is a stretch of historic houses along Swiss Avenue, which contains all shades and variants of architecture from Victorian to neoclassical. The Dallas Downtown Historic District protects a cross-section of Dallas commercial architecture from the 1880s to the 1950s.
Central Dallas is anchored by Downtown, the center of the city and the epicenter of urban revival, along with Oak Lawn and Uptown, areas characterized by dense retail, restaurants, and nightlife. Downtown Dallas has a variety of named districts, including the West End Historic District, the Arts District, the Main Street District, Farmers Market District, the City Center business district, the Convention Center District, and the Reunion District. Hot spots north of Downtown include Uptown, Victory Park, Oak Lawn, Turtle Creek, Cityplace and West Village.

About the work:
“Sing the Earth” is a tribute to our common home, the earth, and honors God for his creation. But it is also a tribute to music and the different cultures around the world. The language is inspired by the joik tradition of the Sami people in Scandinavia. A joik is not merely descriptive, but yearns to capture the subject in its living sense. It is not ABOUT something, it IS that something. So we joik that very thing, and hence the title of the piece.
This joik yearns to capture our beautiful planet with many cultural differences to embrace. The instruments comes from different parts of the world. There are the South American maracas and caxixi; the darabuka, played mostly in Africa and the Middle East; and the riq, used in Arabic music. All this, together with Charles Anthony Silvestri’s lyrics, classical Western instruments with brass and the organ, create a work with a unique sound and one call: Sing the Earth!
It Gets Better - Turtle Creek Chorale

Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe | Aerial Views - Cathedral in Dallas, TX
Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe
The Cathedral is the mother church of the 630,000 Roman Catholics in the nine-county Diocese of Dallas. Today, the Cathedral serves the largest cathedral congregation in the United States — as well as the largest Latino parish congregation — with 25,000 registered households. Although English-only-speaking parishioners represent fewer than 10 percent of the Cathedral’s congregation, the great diversity of the Cathedral community has enriched and energized the parish The Cathedral Chorale and the Spanish Choir of the Cathedral are but one example of the fellowship and sense of purpose of the parish. The choirs frequently collaborate for special events, and have recorded a compact disc and cassette at the world-class Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Entitled Alzad La Cruz!, the recording contains both English and Spanish music, and features the world premier of Missa Guadalupe, a bilingual setting of the Mass commissioned by the Cathedral from Dallas composer Joel Martinson. This unity of diverse cultures as well as the majesty of the Cathedral’s spacious and resplendent architecture, gives rise to a spirituality that is a living testament to the catholic notion of community.
Cathedral Santuario de Guadalupe is a place where God’s grace and great promise transcend the boundaries of race, language, creed and time — where God’s people can worship in peace and joy as one body in Christ.

The subsectors, industry groups, and industries within the NAICS Finance and Insurance sector are defined on the basis of their unique production processes. As with all industries, the production processes are distinguished by their use of specialized human resources and specialized physical capital. In addition, the way in which these establishments acquire and allocate financial capital, their source of funds, and the use of those funds provides a third basis for distinguishing characteristics of the production process. For instance, the production process in raising funds through deposit-taking is different from the process of raising funds in bond or money markets.
