Udupi : In preparation for the inauguration of New Church building of Mount Rosary on Tuesday, 6th January, 2015 head- load gift Offerings or Hore Kanike or Ojem held with large numbers without cast and religion today on Monday, 5th January, 2015.
All communities people gathered at Ganapathy Katte, near Karnataka Bank Ambagilu and brief stage program was held prior to the inauguration of Hore Kanike procession. Rev Fr. Denis D’Sa PRO of Udupi Diocese, Shri Anantha S. Bhat Pradhana Archaka, Laxmi Venkatesh Temple, Puttur, Shri P. Abubakar President of Jamia Masjid Nejar and P. Yuvaraj President of Udupi Muncipality were present on the dais. Shri Jerry Vincent Dais Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council welcomed the gatherings and Daizy teacher of Ambagilu compered the program before the inauguration of the procession.
The Hore Kanike procession symbolically inaugurated by releasing tri-colour balloons by the guests Rev Fr. Denis D’Sa, Anantha S. Bhat and P. Abubakar and P. Yuvaraj flagged off the procession.

Kallianpura/Santhekatte, Aug 15, 2014: Mount Rosary English higher primary school and the high school celebrated the 68th Independence day of India today at the school premises. Peter Cornelio, President Rotary Club and an well known entrepreneur of Kallianpur hoisted the tri-color. Fr. Neri Aranha, Parish Priest, Mount Rosary Church, Kallianpur very meaningfully give the I ’day message. Ravi Acharya and Sr. Adrian were present at the ceremony.
Prizes were also distributed by Sri Peter Cornelio to the children, who achieved success in various sport and their academics. Sweets were distributed to all gathered at the celebration.

Udupi : The Blessing & inauguration of the Mount Rosary New Church on Tuesday, 6th January, 2015 which will be a witness to the unique occasion and will be written in golden letters in the history of the Mount Rosary Church.
Mount Rosary Church which has a long history of 178 years is one of the oldest churches in undivided Mangalore diocese. It is to be noted that hundreds of years ago all the Christians belonging to Kallianpur and in the vicinity belonged to Milagres Church, Kallianpur. In fact it is the Mother Church of several churches in Udupi Diocese.
From 1990 onwards, with the fast development of Santhekatte, several families from far off places began residing here. The church which had braved about 130 summers was almost in a dilapidated condition. This being the reason the parishioners felt the need to construct a new church building. At this time, Rev Fr. Philip Neri Aranha was appointed Parish Priest of Mount Rosary who one of the youngest priest ever in the history of the church. He too saw the felt need of a new spacious church for the ever growing requirements of the faithful.

Biggest main door frame of the Mount Rosary Church being erected today. The 17 feet high and 11 feet wide main door will cost Rs. 20 Lakhs. Around 25 people have put their efforts to lift this massive frame weighing around two tons.
