Sea Erosion is a major problem in Dakshin Karnataka. Padubidri beach is going to be a Blue flag beach but the erosion is damaging the property and more houses of people living next to the beach. I have tried to bring the present situation through this vlog. I hope we will try to save our environment and make this Earth a better place to live.

Padubidri Beach is a beautiful beach in Udupi District and has been given Blue Flag Certificate. It will be developed to an international level. The beach has something for everyone. People who want to enjoy the fun in water or someone who want to just relax on the benches and feel the breeze of the sea. It also give chance for photographers to capture the beautiful sunset.
The beach is approx 25 km south of Udupi and can be reached via private vehicle or a auto from Padubidri auto stand. The beach is well maintained and have tea and snacks shop to curb your cravings.

Padubidri beach
Padubidri beach is a small and beautiful beach with less number of crowds. It is situated in padubidri which is 37 kms from mangalore and 30 kms from udupi. All express bus stop in padubidri, and you will get plenty of auto's to beach which is 2kms from padubidri bus stand.

Padubidri local market set on Tuesday from morning till afternoon. People come here to purchase fruit,vegetables, meats and all other household stuff, These markets are much cheaper compared to regular shops. As the markets come to close you can find even cheaper fruits and vegetables. Enjoy the market and don't use plastic bags to carry items and help protect the environment.

IRAA is a double-cottage bungalow nestled between the beach and backwaters.
Located at Padubidri near Mangalore in a 1.5-acre coconut palm grove on a narrow patch of land with 350-feet frontage of a beautiful beach and 550-feet backside boundary touching the backwaters, IRAA offers unique comfort and privacy for your holidays.
The villa has two cottages connected by a common veranda. One cottage has a bedroom, dining room and kitchenette. The other has one bedroom. Both bedrooms have attached toilets and air conditioning. The verandas offer spectacular views of the sea and the backwaters. There is an open-sky shower point too!
You can enjoy home cooked food provided by the caretaker family or can order from nearby multi-cuisine restaurants. We will anyways keep a snack pack and coffee maker ready in the rooms.
Power backup and CCTV coverage are installed for your security. And, the caretaker family stays right next door.
IRAA is a place to unwind and enjoy solitude!

The nearest airport is Mangalore (37 Km). The closest railway stations are Mangalore Central (35 Km), Mangalore Junction (37 Km) and Udupi (29 Km). Bangalore and Mumbai have excellent bus services to Mangalore and Udupi (several of them pass through Padubidri town, just 2.7 Km from IRAA). Plenty of taxi options are available from all these points. Or you can simply drive down by NH66.
