Orang Asli Craft Museum Kuala Lumpur Malaysia | Tourism Malaysia
Orang Asli Craft Museum in Kuala Lumpur showcases the arts and handicrafts of the Orang Asli people, the aboriginal communities who dwell mostly in rural areas across the Malaysian Peninsula.
The museum explains how there are 18 different tribes of Orang Asli divided into 3 main groups, the Negrito, the Senai and the Proto Malay.
The Orang Asli are famed for their handicrafts, particularly the wood carving skills by the Mah Meri and Jah Hut tribes who like to carve masks and figures and these are highly valued by collectors.
In addition to statues and masks there are small Sepili figures used in the traditional medicine system of the Jah Hut, blowpipes and ornate bamboo containers for holding blowpipe darts, hunting and fishing traps, musical instruments, native clothing, pouches and containers made from screw pine, rattan baskets and trays, palm leaf ornaments and spiritual decorations and even coffins made from bamboo.
This is a small but very interesting museum with material that you won’t see elsewhere except perhaps in the other Orang Asli museum in Gombak. The quality of the carvings is very high.
How to Get to Orang Asli Craft Museum
It is located on the lower ground floor of the Malay-World Ethnology Museum, a dedicated building within the grounds of the National Museum.
It is within walking distance of KL Sentral station (0.5km).

NATIONAL SCIENCE CENTER l KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
Hello everyone!
A while back I visited the National Science Centre in KL with my cousins, nephews and niece for the school holidays. They were having a free entry promo at the time so we went to check it out.
For the kids it will be quite an adventurous day. It is filled with interactive elements and it is educational. I am unsure how much it is to get in once the free entry promo ends but if you have some time to spare it would be worth a visit but for adults, I doubt it will satisfy your hunger to curb your boredom.
There is a lot of improvements to be made to the place which I feel should be made to attract more people of different ages. Some of the displays and device were faulty which wasn't a great sight. All in all, I did have fun mainly cause the kids kept me busy ! I would give this place a 6/10 because I know it can be better.
Here is the location in case anyone is interested:
Persiaran Bukit Kiara, Bukit Damansara, 50490 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur
Hope you enjoyed this video !

MUD: Our Story of Kuala Lumpur The Musical | Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is a city filled with rich and get ready to watch it unfold when you watch MUD: Our Story of Kuala Lumpur The Musical. This cultural experience is a project of Visit KL and presented by Kuala Lumpur City Hall.
It all began in 1880 during the mining boom. The glint of tin promised riches and attracted an influx of pioneers from across the Asian region to the muddy junction of the two rivers, Sungai Lumpur (now Sungai Gombak) and Sungai Kelang. MUD The Musical showcases the story of Mamat, Meng and Muthiah, three friends who came to this frontier town of Kuala Lumpur in search of opportunities and a new life. Through their journey, they encounter a host of colourful characters, each with their own enduring personalities and stories. Together these characters and stories form the cultural mosaic of what known as modern Kuala Lumpur.
SHOW TIME: Twice Daily. 3PM and 8:30PM
SHOW VENUE: Panggung Bandaraya, Jalan Raja, 50350
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
