Italy’s Verona, Padova, and Ravenna
Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | In the shadow of Venice, we visit three great cities in the Veneto area. Padova is famed for its venerable university, precious Giotto frescoes, and pilgrim-packed basilica. Verona is a hit with aficionados of Roman ruins and Romeo and Juliet fans. And Ravenna, with its shimmering mosaics, was once the western bastion of the Byzantine Empire. We enliven each stop with a tasty dose of Italian dolce vita.

Visiting Venice Italy in One Day | Travel Guide 2020
Venice - In Italian: Venezia, Venetian: Venesia or Venexia, is a city in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region. It is situated on a group of 118 small islands that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridges. The islands are located in the shallow Venetian Lagoon, an enclosed bay that lies between the mouths of the Po and the Piave rivers (more exactly between the Brenta and the Sile). In 2018, 260,897 people resided in the Comune di Venezia, of whom around 55,000 live in the historical city of Venice (centro storico). Together with Padua and Treviso, the city is included in the Padua-Treviso-Venice Metropolitan Area (PATREVE), which is considered a statistical metropolitan area, with a total population of 2.6 million

Venice: City of Dreams
Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | After sorting through the monuments of Venice's powerful past, we'll trace its decline from Europe's most powerful city to its most hedonistic one. We'll cruise the Grand Canal, luxuriate in a venerable café, and savor fresh fish canal-side with Venetian friends. Becoming as anonymous as possible in this city of masks, we'll be dazzled by masterpieces of the Venetian Renaissance and get intimate with the city of Casanova...on a gondola in the moonlight.

Day Trip to Venice - FULL VIDEO TOUR (Venice, Italy)
We decided to take a day trip to Venice! We drove in from Milan and stopped in Verona on the way. We first drove across the bridge to Venice, and this is where the roads end. You will be greeted by parking attendants trying to usher you in for 20 euros for the day. Kinda expensive! We then drove back across the bridge and parked on the other side, right next to Venezia-Mestre train station, and took the train from Venezia-Mestre back across the bridge. The parking was street parking right next to the train station and was really cheap, as was the train itself! (Hence the two bridge crossings at the start of the video! lol)
When we arrived at Venice train station, we pretty much exited the train station and was greeted with the Grand Canal! Gondalas can be embarked upon from here too. We walked all the way to St. Mark's Square, which took probably a good day with plenty of time to visit shops and things along the way. From St. Mark's Square, we took the Vaporetto (Venice public transport boat - no roads here! lol) back to Venice train station. NOTE: The Vaporetto is pretty much like a public bus, crowded, full of locals, and not exactly a tourist fun-packed experience.

This made Venice a wealthy city throughout most of its history.
It is also known for its several important artistic movements, especially the Renaissance period. After the Napoleonic Wars and the Congress of Vienna, the Republic was annexed by the Austrian Empire, until it became part of the Kingdom of Italy in 1866, following a referendum held as a result of the Third Italian War of Independence. Venice has played an important role in the history of symphonic and operatic music, and it is the birthplace of Antonio Vivaldi.

The beautiful MURANO and BURANO
MURANO and BURANO, one of the most beautiful places to visit in Venice! Check this islands if you're around Venice, Italy.
Check out my previous Vlog where I explore Venice for the first time:
On my previouse Vlog I was with my colleague Amber exploring the city center of Venice and we were amazed on how beautiful it was.
We saw the most famous places of the city like Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's Square, Bridge of Sights.
We also walked around the city center through those narrow streets and small bridges, I have to advise you to really use Google Maps in order not to get lost, it is so easy to get lost here in Venice, Italy.
This time I was with my girlfriend Ines and we went to explore the islands of Murano and Burano. They are beautiful and very colorful, they used to be fisherman islands and now are very touristic places.
When we got to Murano we were supposed to go to the glass factory but it was closed alredy that is why I'm not showing it on the video, sorry for that. Next time I go there I'll go there earlier so I can show you them making glass.
