ABOUT ME
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi there!
I am Anissa Syifa Adriana, otherwise known as Syifa. I am a conversation connoisseur, Indonesian female solo traveler and make-up enthusiast. I started my first solo traveling in June 2014, a coincidence trip, where it was intended for someone I was very close to in the past. I never regret deciding to go because after that, I never look back.
I decided to leave Indonesia since August 2016, to do a long-term traveling. After being on the road for about 5 months, in January 2017 I was offered to teach English in Yinchuan, Northwest China. Instead of going back home, at that time I went straight to China from Vietnam carrying only the remaining USD 300 that I had in my bank account. Arrived in China for the first time, everything felt so intimidating and foreign at the same time. Since then, I was based in Yinchuan, Northwest China and had been loving it.
As of now, I am back on the road again to travel and make videos on Youtube. Thank you again for watching! I hope you get to enjoy the video as much as I am making it.
Let's keep it positive. Don't forget to like, share, comment and subscribe :)
Till next time!

MEKONG DELTA VIETNAM - Saigon Day Trip
We experienced local life along the Mekong Delta Vietnam for our last day in Saigon. We show you the best Saigon day trip that Vietnam has to offer, traveling by boat down the Mekong Delta and exploring a local Vietnam village along the way.
Our trip to the Mekong Delta Vietnam started with a 2 hour luxury van ride to a town called My Tho. Although we don’t normally take public tours, we arranged a small 6 person group tour with Vietnam Adventure Tours. Once we arrived in My Tho, we boarded a private boat to set sail down the Mekong Delta River. The 15 minute boat ride took us across the Mekong river to unicorn island where we explored a tourist area set up to mimic a traditional Vietnam Village. The activities on this island include: Bee Farm and Honey Tasting, Snake Holding, Coconut Candy Production, Chocolate Production, Snake Wine, and a Fruit Farm with traditional Mekong Delta music.
Next we got back on the Vietnam boat tour down the Mekong Delta to visit the area of Ben Tre. This is where we got to see a side of a more authentic Vietnam by boating down the river in a small sampan boat. This is one of the best things to do in Vietnam because you get to experience a world away from all development. We wish this part of the Mekong river tour was longer, as the small sampan boat ride was only 15 minutes long.
Next up on the Mekong Delta Tour was lunch which was included in our tour and very delicious. We were served a variety of Vietnamese food including fish, spring rolls, soup, rice, morning glory and prawns. The Vietnamese lunch was absolutely delicious!
When visiting Saigon Vietnam, we highly recommend you put a Mekong Delta Tour on your list of must do activities. Out of all the things to do in Saigon, this was one of our favorites! A quick 2 hour Saigon day trip away seems like a completely separate world apart from the hustle of Ho Chi Minh City.
If you’re interested in booking one of the best tours in Saigon, contact Vietnam Adventure Tours and request Van as your tour guide! The tour you see is the VIP Mekong Delta Tour with a luxury 7 person limo. Most Mekong tours start from $15 USD and go up to $80 USD for a public tour, and private tours are $80 USD per person and up. We hope you enjoyed our trip down the Vietnam Mekong Delta and if you have any questions please leave us a comment! We’d love to hear about your Vietnam travel or plans to visit the area.

23 Things To Do In Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) Vietnam

►FREE eBook:
When I was in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), along with eating as much Vietnamese food as I could, one of my goals was to film a travel video about some of the best things to do in Saigon. After putting together a complete list, it turned out to be 23, and I hope this list of attractions will help and inspire you to visit Vietnam’s largest and most exciting city.
1. Binh Tay Market - Binh Tay Market is one of the largest wholesale distribution markets, and a perfect place to go if you’re looking to go shopping in Ho Chi Minh City.
2. Thien Hau Temple (Pagoda) - Located in Chinatown, in District 5, the temple is dedicated to Thien Hau and I really loved the sculptures and the elaborate design of the temple.
3. Museum of Ho Chi Minh City - This museum offers a glimpse into the history and development of the city and Vietnam.
4. Bitexco Financial Tower - This is the tallest building in Saigon, and you can either go to the Skydeck or a cafe at the top for a view of the city.
5. Independence Palace (Reunification Palace) - Probably one of the most well known tourism things to do in Saigon is to visit the Independence Palace, the the former home of the president of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
6. Saigon Cathedral of Notre Dame - With the French influence in Vietnam, the Notre Dame cathedral is a beautiful Catholic church. Attend a service or just visit.
7. Central Post Office - Designed by Gustave Eiffel, the Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh City is an attraction mainly for its design and architecture. It’s a beautiful building.
8. War Remnants Museum - Although this is not one of the happiest attractions in Saigon, it’s a place to remember and honor the horrible events that are a result of a war.
9. Opera House - Right in Dong Khoi area, and there are still opera shows available.
10. Dong Khoi Street - This is the height of high end shopping in Saigon.
11. Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens - The zoo itself is not too great, but the beauty of the Saigon zoo is the botanical gardens, and the lush gardens, and taking a break from the city.
12. FITO Museum (Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine) - I was quite impressed by the Vietnamese medicine private museum - very interactive and educational.
13. San Art Laboratory – If you love modern art, the San Art Laboratory is a great place to see and visit in Saigon.
14. Turtle Lake at Night - If you’re looking for some things to do at night in Saigon, head to Turtle Lake to chill out, relax, hang out with friends, and eat snacks.
15. Ben Thanh Market - One of the most famous things to do in Saigon District 1 is visit the Ben Thanh Market, one of the major central landmarks of the city.
16. Phu My Hung and Starlight Bridge - Located outside of central Ho Chi Minh City, Phu My Hung is a modern development, and a great place to walk around.
17. Water Puppet Show - Though originally from the north of Vietnam, water puppet shows are popular also in Saigon. I went to the Golden Dragon Water Puppet theater.
18. Museum of Vietnamese History - Probably one of the most extensive and important museum showing the history of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City.
19. Rooftop Bar - Seeing Saigon from above offers a great perspective.
20. Fine Arts Museum - This was my favorite of all the museums in Saigon. The museum is housed in a well preserved building, and the art is amazing - located right in District 1 across the roundabout from Ben Thanh Market.
21. Jade Emperor Pagoda - Dedicated to the Jade Emperor, the pagoda has a real ancient feel to it, and it’s worth seeing when you visit.
22. Local Wet Market - One of my favorite things to do is visit a local fresh wet market, which you’ll find all over the city. The ingredients, food, and culture, all stand out at fresh markets.
23. Vietnamese Street Food - By my ultimate favorite activity in Saigon is eating street food, and there are an abundance of delicious Vietnamese street foods to sample.
Thank you for watching this video about the top 23 things to do in Saigon, Vietnam. I hope it has given you some great ideas to help you plan your visit.

Best Things to do in Saigon - Overnight City Guide
Overnight is a travel and food show for today’s traveler and we’ve been working on this web series for 4 months now. In today’s time hungry world, people want to try and experience so much in so little time. In fact, we discovered that most people travelling around Asia would spend on average 36 to 72 hours in any given capital city. So we decided to the same thing. Overnight will go through 5 large Asian cities (Taipei, Saigon, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Seoul) and will attempt to show you what you can do during those precious few hours you have in the metropolis. From drinking, eating, discovering new cultures all the way up to clubbing. Overnight’s got you covered.
Here we discover the city of Saigon with Erwan Heussaff and Chef JP Anglo.

PHNOM PENH TO HO CHI MINH CITY BY BUS | Vietnam | Vlog 031
After three weeks in Cambodia we are finally leaving to head for Vietnam! We jump back on a Giant Ibis bus for the 7 hour journey from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City which of course includes our first land border crossing.
Upon arriving we go from issue to issue, discovering an ant infestation at our first hostel and almost losing each other trying to find an ATM. After all of the drama we find a new hotel and make our way out on to Bui Vien walking street after a 9 hour travel day.
We hunt down a cheap and authentic meal and end up having an incredible dinner at Bun Cha (which happens to actually be from Hanoi) for under £6!

Lost Our Camera on the Way to Ho Chi Minh! - Travel Vietnam 2018
It was an early start to the day leaving Hoi An before dawn to make it to Da Nang in time for our flight to Ho Chi Minh. The decision to head to HCMC was quite last minute and so we were going there with no accomodation booked in advance and we had way to much luggage to consider going door to door getting prices, so when we landed we went straight to McDonalds for breakfast and free wifi!
Once we had finished breakfast and booked our accomodation, which was around two hours after landing, we went to pull the camera out and vlog an update...This is when we discovered we no longer had our camera!!
We started thinking back furiously on when we had last used it that morning and I clicked...I had left it in the back of the seat on the airplane!
We'd love it if you liked and shared this video, so others who haven't yet heard of us, also get a chance to share in the experience. Thanks :)

We are Leon and Tash, a New Zealand vlogging couple who set off on an amazing Vietnam adventure as fulltime travellers, backpacking Vietnam. But we weren't going to travel to Vietnam for one of those ordinary backpacking Vietnam trips you hear about everybody doing, where they go for a couple off weeks and check out the beaches or maybe riding through Vietnam at such a crazy pace that they never get off the beaten track. No we want more than that.
Our Vietnam adventures start with learning the way of the locals, taking just enough time to figure out how things work, discover what the Must see places in Vietnam are and more importantly where Vietnam's hidden gems are...
To do this, we moved to Danang Vietnam. The plan was to spend 3 months living in Da Nang, meeting and learning from locals about the culture, the amazing food, their way of living and what places they would recommend to travel in Vietnam.
And because Danang is in the middle of the country, we hoped we might meet other tourists or expats who were having their own Vietnam travel adventure or were at the halfway point of motorcycle riding through Vietnam and hear from them, what places they thought we must visit in Vietnam. Also, as new travel vloggers, having a base there meant we could try things like doing Da Nang Vietnam travel vlog or creating a Danang Vietnam travel guide, before also taking on the stresses of fulltime travel.
Then in month 4, that's when the real Vietnam adventure begins. With our new list of must see places, we will head to Saigon and buy a couple of motorbikes. to start our Vietnam road trip!
Motorcycle riding through Vietnam seems like one of the most hectic, crazy and chaotic things anyone could do, but we can't wait!! And we wont be following a simple South to North / Saigon to Hanoi route, we plan on doing more like a figure 8, so that our travel in Vietnam will cover both the inland and coastal areas of this amazing country.
So can we still say we are backpacking Vietnam? Or should we be telling people our travel in Vietnam is a motorcycle trip through Vietnam? We're not sure, but what we do know is, our Vietnam road trip is going to cover over 6000km's from Saigon right up to the famous waterfalls of Ban Gioc near Cao Bang, round the northern point of the Ha Giang loop and everything else we can access in between.
So we hope you'll join us, the New Zealand vlogging couple, on our Vietnam adventure by clicking subscribe to join the Tribe and experience our travel in Vietnam..

First Time in VIETNAM - Exploring Ho Chi Minh City
We landed in bustling Ho Chi Minh City for our first time in Vietnam! We had a great time exploring Ho Chi Minh City and will be traveling Vietnam for the next 28 days. Without a real plan, we visited Ho Chi Minh Square to learn some history of Ho Chi Minh City. We also played frogger with the thousands of motorbikes trying to cross the streets, haha.
Our first stop after the 2 hour travel to Vietnam from Malaysia was Ho Chi Minh Square. We got stopped by some local Vietnamese scouts who tried to help teach us a Vietnamese language phrase. We sucked really badly but they were nice and persistent. Finally, Ryan spoke Vietnamese! Ho Chi Minh Square is located in District 1 Saigon which is right in the middle of the city. District 1 Ho Chi Minh City is also the main tourist hub in HCM, Vietnam.
We aren’t sure if it’s better to call the city Saigon Vietnam or Ho Chi Minh Vietnam, so please leave us a comment down below and let us know which one is correct! While walking the streets and exploring Ho Chi Minh City, we got thirsty and decided to try Vietnamese coffee for the first time. Stacia loved the Vietnamese coffee but since it’s 2x stronger than regular coffee she couldn’t finish the whole thing.
Before finding the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh, we decided we wanted to get a feel for local life in Saigon. We quickly saw that the traffic in Ho Chi Minh City is a BIG part of daily life so we decided to test our luck crossing the busy streets. I can’t put into words how busy the streets of Saigon are, so you’ll just have to watch the video to see for yourself. It was a true frogger moment!
Being Americans in Vietnam, we are very interested in the war history of the Vietnam War. We were told there is an American War museum we need to check out which we will do off camera to spare sharing some deep emotional stuff with you guys. There are so many things to do in Saigon we can’t wait to explore the city for the month! If you have any suggestions for things to do in Vietnam, please leave a comment down below.
We have uploaded Vietnamese subtitles for any of you who would like to read in Vietnamese. We hope to hear from you guys in the comments and thanks for watching our first Vietnam travel vlog!

Pham Ngu Lao nightlife is also one of Ho Chi Minh’s finest, with throngs of street vendors, bia hoi stalls, lively bars, and downtown clubs filling up the lively scene. Interesting nightlife entertainment spots include The View Rooftop Bar, Seventeen Saloon, Go 2 and Crazy Buffalo Nightclub as well as many smaller pubs that are known for their cheap drinks and happy hour promos. It’s also common around here to meet friendly expats who are more than happy to share a few tips about travelling in and beyond Vietnam. If you want to immerse yourself in the local culture, we highly suggest getting up early and visit the parks within the area. It is interesting to see (and even to join in on) the elders participating in Tai Chi-like exercise sessions. Another must-do is heading to the morning markets such as Ben Tanh Market, where local vendors sell a wide array of fresh produce, household supplies, and Vietnamese street food at attractive prices. As Pham Ngu Lao is not such a large area, it’s the perfect place to explore on foot - the best time to do this is in the morning and late afternoon as the weather can be rather scorching at the height of the day. If you’re feeling adventurous, there are also travel agencies that can help arrange for day trips within the city centre and beyond.

I was attempting to go to the extremely famous Bánh Mì Huỳnh Hoa (Banh Mi Huynh Hoa), but somehow I missed that they were only open beginning in the afternoon, so instead I found another banh mi restaurant called Bánh Mì Hồng Hoa, which actually proved to be one of my favorite versions of the trip (I did end up going to Bánh Mì Huỳnh Hoa (Banh Mi Huynh Hoa) another time, so another video about that coming soon). But anyway, I ordered the normal special banh mi, a Vietnamese sandwich stuffed into a crusty baguette, and it was incredibly good. The bread was crusty and fresh, and they included just the right amount of toppings and ratio of ingredients. Happy full of the banh mi for breakfast, we then continued walking, and next stopped for a cup of Vietnamese coffee, which always hits the spot.
One of my goals for visiting Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), was to film a video about the top things to do, the attractions of the city. So after we ate breakfast, we then took a walk over to the Cathedral of Notre Dame, sort of in the main center of Saigon. The cathedral is a beautiful structure, and I did some filming and videos of both inside and outside the church. Right across the road from Notre Dame in Saigon is the Saigon Post Office, which I had actually visited the day before.
Next stop, we headed to the War Remnants Museum of Saigon, a museum in the central area of the city that showcases displays of mostly photography depicting the horrible acts and results of the Vietnam War. It definitely wasn’t a light museum, and nor was it much fun to visit, but it did offer a glimpse into the terrible events. After the museum, we then went to Tao Dan Park, which is located just across the street, where we just walked around.
After doing some sightseeing in Saigon, we were pretty hot and hungry, so walking around, we found a small restaurant, called Com Tam 77 to stop for lunch. The restaurant was located just on the outside of Tao Dan Park, not far from the Reunification Palace. I ordered one of the most popular Saigon Vietnamese dishes, a dish known as com tam suon, broken rice topped with a grilled pork chop, and an optional, but highly delicious fried egg on the top. The meal was very tasty, and it truly hit the spot.
After lunch, we headed back to the hotel, as the sun was beating down, and it looked like it would rain. I had a chance to do some work, and write some articles and edit some videos, and then we came out again to explore at around 4 pm when it was much cooler. We headed back to Ben Thanh Market, the central main market of the city, before moving outside, walking around for a bit more, and then finally finishing the great day off with a meal at a kind of chain restaurant in Saigon known as Pho Hung. It was nice to get some AC and cool off, and I have to admit that my bowl of pho bo, or Vietnamese beef pho was actually quite good.

SAIGON STREET FOOD TOUR 2019 ᴴᴰ | Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam (Cinematic Vlog)
***OPEN ME PLEASE ***
Do this video justice and watch in HD 1080p
So I was apparently brave enough to travel through Vietnam all by myself. I took this trip to be re-inspired again in film . I started at the South of Vietnam and made my way to the North. My first stop was at Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) which ended up being my favourite city in Vietnam. The best way to enjoy Vietnam is to eat your heart out through it and so I did just that throughout my stay. The very first activity on my bucket list was doing a guided street food tour with locals. So I went with a team from Saigon Street Eats who took me and five other strangers on a tasting tour in their motorbikes. I will be sharing the rest of my adventures in Vietnam soon. I chose to start with the essentials which is food. You're watching the very first episode of a loooooooong adventure. Since I did this tour with strangers, I didn't feel comfortable with vlogging and being in everyone's faces as I didn't want my passion to take away from everyone's real experience and privacy. I also wanted to get my money's worth by being more present in the moment . I hope you enjoy this documentary style vlog.
