[FURUSATO GUJO TV] Nagaragawa Railway
Locals call this railway Nagatetsu or rail-bus. This railway is 72.1 kilometers long and the line runs between Mino-Ota Station in Minokamo City to Hokuno Station in Gujo City. Many students in this region take it daily to school.
There is a really unique point on the line. It is the Kodakara-no-yu, a hot spring at the Minami-Kodakara-no-yu Station. The hot spring is located on the platform. Train users take the hot spring for free.
There are other advantageous tickets, such as a railway ticket including accommodation, etc.
The view from the train window is wonderful in every season. You can see the Japanese rural scenes. That is why this train has big fans not only Japanese but also non Japanese people.

The Etsumi-Nan Line (越美南線 Etsumi Nansen, Etsumi South Line) is a railway line in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, operated by the third-sector operator Nagaragawa Railway (長良川鉄道 Nagaragawa Tetsudō). The line connects Mino-Ōta Station in Minokamo with Hokunō Station in Gujō. It is the only railway line operated by the Nagaragawa Railway. The line was originally operated by Japanese National Railways (JNR). JNR planned to connect the Etsumi-Nan Line and Etsumi-Hoku Line (Etsumi North Line), but the plan was never realized. The north line was later succeeded by West Japan Railway Company (JR West), while the south line was taken by Nagaragawa Railway, a newly founded third-sector company, in 1986. As the company name suggests, the line runs along Nagara River. As a consequence of Japan's declining population and frequent natural disasters (such as typhoons and heavy snowfall), the company is facing financial difficulties.

This is a very unique onsen(hot spring), which is located on the platform of the Kodakara-onsen-no-yu station of Nagaragawa railway.
Train users take the hot spring for free. The Nagaragawa railway is famous for its beautiful scenery seen from the train window. The train mostly runs along the Nagara River in Gujo area. It is the most popular part of the railroad line.
Please take the train, and stop at the station to take the hot spring for a wonderful rest.
If you go by car, it takes about 10 minutes from the Minami IC of the Tokai-Hokuriku Jidousha-do, the highway/motorway.
