Navegaon National Park is a national park located in the Gondia district of Maharashtra, India. Navegaon, a popular forest resort in the Vidarbha region, the easternmost part of Maharashtra, was built in the 18th century. The picturesque lake set amidst lush green hills at Navegaon, has a watch-tower beside it. One can get a bird's eye view of the surrounding forest and marvel at the exciting wildlife from the watch-tower which consists of a deer park, Dr. Salem bird sanctuary, and three exotic gardens. The Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Navegaon is home to almost 60% of the bird species found in entire Maharashtra. Every winter, flocks of beautiful migratory birds visit the lake—a rare treat for the eyes. The national park has diverse type of vegetation ranging from dry mixed forest to moist forest. The forest type is 5 A/C3. Southern tropical dry deciduous forest.

यह पार्क गोंदिया जिले के दक्षिण में स्थित है। यह 133.78 वर्ग किमी के क्षेत्र के साथ महाराष्ट्र राज्य के पूर्वी भाग में स्थित है। प्रकृति संरक्षण के दृष्टिकोण से, इस पार्क का बहुत महत्व है। इस पार्क की प्राकृतिक संपदा वास्तव में अविश्वसनीय है और हर किसी को लुभावने विचारों, शुद्ध और ताजी हवा का आनंद लेने के लिए नवेगाव का दौरा करना चाहिए।
जैव विविधता के संरक्षण की दृष्टि से भी इस उद्योग में बड़ी संभावनाएँ हैं।
इस राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में सूखे मिश्रित जंगलों से लेकर नम जंगलों तक कई प्रकार के पौधे हैं। पक्षियों की 209 प्रजातियाँ, सरीसृपों की 9 प्रजातियाँ और 26 स्तनधारी नवेगाव उद्यान में हैं जिनमें बाघ, बिल्लियाँ, जंगली बिल्ली, कस्तूरी बिल्ली, ताड़ के गुहा, भेड़िया आदि इनमें शामिल हैं।
पार्क में व्याख्यान केंद्र, छोटे संग्रहालय और पुस्तकालय सुविधाएं उपलब्ध हैं। उद्यान में वन्यजीव निगरानी और फोटोग्राफी के लिए सात वॉच केबिन और पांच वॉच टावर हैं।इस राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में नवेगावबांध झील का क्षेत्रफल 11 चौ. कि.मी है। झील का निर्माण कोलू पटेल कोली ने अठारहवीं शताब्दी में किया था। वर्तमान में, कोलासुर को देव के रूप में जाना जाता है और उनकी प्रतिमा भी झील के एक शिखर पर पाई जाती है।

Itiadoh Dam is located on Gadvi River near Arjuni Morgan, Gondia district in state of Maharashtra in India. It was established in year 1970.The length of the Dam is approximately 505 m and Height is around 29.85 m. This dam is beautifully built, which makes it an excellent picnic spot. Itiadoh Dam is well connected by road and can easy to reach. The distance from Nagpur is 153 Km.The area near Itiadoh Dam is beautiful and blessed with natural lush green beauty. Tourist can enjoy tangy gooseberries and Ber. This place is visited by several people for picnic and day trip. Itiadoh Dam is also famous for fish and prawn cultivation. Tourists can also visit the Tibetan carpet weaving camp situated near to dam.

65 km. from Gondia in Morgaon Arjuni Tahsil. Situated amidst pictureseque Nishani range of hills around a beautyful lake. The background is formed by Zhenda Pahar. On its slopes, watch towers are erected at vantage points. Looking at the lake from a tower is heavenly experience any time of the day, more so in full moon. Navegaon lake is one of the most important wetland of Vidarbha, it has waterspread over 11 sq. kms. It is an excellent place for trekking and bird watching. The adventure will see a spectrum of varied wildlife and lucky ones may spot even a tiger or leopard in the thick foliage. A nature lover will enjoy the peace and harmony of nature, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. During winters migratory birds flock around Nawegaon lake, which is main attraction of tourists.

Nagzira Tiger Reserve (NNTR)
the most famous attraction is Navegaon-Nagzira Tiger Reserve (NNTR). Southern tropical dry deciduous type of vegetation existing here offer refuge to a variety of wildlife. Nagzira wildlife sanctuary (Apart of NNTR) is situated 50 km from Gondia. Here the virgin forest shelters 34 species of wild animals including Tiger, Leopard, Sambar & Spotted Deer, Gour (Bison), Sloath-Bear, Wild-Dog (Dhole), Jungle Cat etc. Similarly 166 species of birds are also found here. Gondia district is also famous for migratory birds like Gray-lag Goose, Bar-headed Goose, Comb-Duck, Pintail, Teal, Gadwall, Red Crested Pochard etc.

In this video, I am exploring the small yet dense forest of Nagzira Tiger Reserve. Nagzira is situated 120 km south of Nagpur city.
This trip was organized by my friend at Owlet Outdoors check that out!
So we took the train from Pune to Nagpur and headed to Nagzira in a private car.
The train travel was pretty good but it came late to Nagpur. It was giver less priority over other express or superfast trains. Some local events along the road made sure we were late for our first safari as well. After reaching the Pitezari gate we had our lunch and went straight into the reserve.
I was already excited to stay in the jungle plus I had heard a lot of stories of great sightings which got me even more excited. Our second gypsy was the only one to sight the leopard with 40 cars in the reserve! That was like really amazing. The first's for me was the Jungle Owlet, Hawk Eagle, and the beautiful sloth bears.
The leopard for me has been an illusion so far but I am not giving up until I see one!
