‘The Need – Exodus & Exile’ is a 23-minute short by Kashmiri Pandit brothers Rakesh Roshan Bhat and Rohit Bhat. Through this small, simple and honest attempt they managed to take the story of Kashmiri Pandits to organizers and audiences in film festivals across India.
DO NOT MISS THE END.
It is being applauded for splendid ending in all film festivals. It secured 6 official selections in prestigious film festivals in India and one official selection in a festival in US. It went on to win 5 awards across these festivals and was also a semi finalist in one festival
In 1990, the aboriginal Kashmiri Hindus were hounded out from their native land Kashmir by Pakistan sponsored Islamic terrorists.
With the overt and covert support of local Muslims terrorist groups wanted to turn Kashmir into an Islamic state.
Since then this peace loving and miniscule community has been living in exile in their own country. They are still homeless, even after 30 years!
The story of Kashmiri Pandits (their side of the story!) needs to be told and retold till they get justice and a permanent abode in Kashmir. Every true Indian needs to watch this. Watch it with your family and Kindly Subscribe our channel. Share it with your neighbors, friends and colleagues to spread this meaningful message. The creators are not interested in any monetary rewards. They are just seeking help to take this message across India. So, Please share, share and share as much as you can!
