Free Hugs - Newquay, Cornwall
Free hugging in Newquay...spreading some love!
Newquay Cornwall 5/6/19
Newquay Has the wow factor when it comes to coastal scenery with fine sandy tidal beach's . Did an early morning coastal walk from Lusty Glaze beach to Towan head and what a fine morning it was with a fresh sea breeze and the waves pounding into the cliff's . Later in the day we went to Porth beach then went walking to Porth island which is joined to the mainland by a small wooden bridge and made our way to Trevelgue head the site of what was once a cliff castle dating back to 400-100 BC. after that we went for a short cliff walk to admire the dramatic cliff scenery, after a light lunch in Porth we headed off following the cliff path past Lusty Glaze beach as the tide was out now we made our way down the cliff path onto Tolcarne beach walking across the sands to western beach then Towan beach where there is a small cliff island with a house perched on it access is by a suspension bridge , it was time for us to go have a cream tea followed by a bit of retail therapy for the girls. The following morning I headed of out at 07;00 to walk the clifftop path to Towan head it was very quiet as i passed through the town centre then passing the golf course and up to Towan head an elevated point at the end of the promontory giving stunning views towards Fistral beach and East Pentire head to the south and across the beach's to the north towards Trevelgue head. Cornwall has a dramatic coastline and stunning beach's to explore its well worth visiting again.

UK Summer Surfing | Think Bigger : Ep.4
Every surfer starts longboarding at some stage in life! :)
This summer I've been calling one of my best friends on the regular, asking to borrow his Longboard. The Bearman pro has come to the rescue many times. Using my 5'9 Burger fish has been my second go to board this summer. Keeping surfing fun is the most important factor. Using extra floaty boards works so well in the UK's weaker summer waves. I'm about to collect my own Longboard any day now and can't wait to have this discipline of surfing in my quiver! Think Bigger and beyond any board haters :)
The last part of this edit is a quick road trip mid summer, very needed to score some barrels at this stage in the year!

HM Coastguard and St John Ambulance - Patient Transfer via Helicopter in Regents Park!
This is an extremely rare sight to see. In this video you can see a HM Coastguard Sikorsky S-92 used for Search and Rescue that has just landed with a patient at Regents Park to transfer them to a ground crew which in this case is a St John Ambulance transfer vehicle, this normally happens for Pediatric transfers from further afield such as the North of England, this patient was most likely going to Great Ormond Street Hospital. The helicopter is based or of Humberside Airport as Rescue 912 which confirms that the patient has been flown from Humberside down to London for specialist treatment.

About James Ketchell
James is a serial adventurer, motivational speaker and Scouting ambassador.
On 1st February 2014, James became the first and only person to have rowed across the Atlantic Ocean, successfully summited Mount Everest and cycled 18,000 miles around the world.
Seven years prior to all this, he was recovering from a serious motorcycle accident that left him with broken legs as well as a severely broken and dislocated ankle. The prognosis was that he was likely to suffer a permanent walking impairment and would certainly not be able to continue the active physical lifestyle he had enjoyed up to that point.
In September 2019 James Ketchell became the first person to fly a gyroplane around the world under FAI rules in 175 days.

The Duchess of Cambridge arrives at the Anna Freud Centre - Daily Mail
The Duchess wore a Roksanda dress as she made her debut as the patron of the Anna Freud Centre at a lunch reception in London, following a busy morning at Hampton Court. Earlier that day, the Duchess revealed that Prince George and Princess Charlotte have a new pet: a hamster called Marvin. The family keep the rodent at their country home, Anmer Hall, where they are currently based, she said. The existence of Martin, a royal pet whose role in the Cambridge household has remained undisclosed until now.
