Next we visit Bloody Omah Beach scene of the largest troop losses and visit the American War Cemetery. Next we go to Gold Beach and Arromanches site of the Blueberry B port. Finally we visit Juno Beach taken by the Canadian forces.

Day 16: WWII Beaches of Normandy - I took a 14 hour bus tour to the beaches of Normandy where on D-Day, June 6, 1944, the Allied forces landed and began the Battle Of Normandy. It was the beginning of the end for Hitler and the German Army. Watching a movie like Saving Private Ryan or the HBO's series Band Of Brothers before your visit will give you added insight into the events of D-Day. We were invited by the Royal British Legion to attend the 2016 veteran tour of Normandy. We joined the veterans for the weekend, following them as they visited the beaches and graveyards of Normandy. Understandably it was an emotional time for the veterans, so it was a humbling experience for the four Kingdom crew members to be part of the tour and have the opportunity to interview the veterans and their families, who shared their moving stories with us.
We are really proud of this film as a documentary style insight into a poignant event.
