Tips on the Best Rome Tourist Pass
ARE ROME TOURIST PASSES WORTH IT? If you’re going to see two or more sites in Rome, then the answer is probably yes.
For a comparison and reviews about each option, read our guide:
Passes can save you plenty of money, but they can also save you time.
ROME DISCOUNT PASSES
The top three Rome tourist passes are the Omnia Vatican and Rome Card, the Rome City Pass (Turbopass) and Roma Pass.
There is a lesser-known card, Rome City Pass that operates a little differently than the other three. We have written about it in its own section.
All three passes pictured above have many features in common, but also have some variation, so it is important that you read all of the fine print.
All three of the discount passes below offer these money-saving features:
-free or reduced hop-on-hop-off bus tour tickets
-some form of unlimited free use of public transportation
-free or reduced price museum and attraction entry
-fast track (‘skip the line’) entry at some attractions
-free or reduced admission to popular attractions, such as the Colosseum and the Vatican

Omnia card Vatican y Roma Pass - Cómo funcionan (MibauldeblogsTV)

Rome - 5 Essential Travel Hacks for Visiting Rome
Heading to Rome & Looking for Some Helpful Advice on Visiting the Eternal City Roma? Well here are five tips to help travelers get more out of their visit to one of the most wonderful cities in the world, Rome, Italy.
#1. Pre-book tickets to the Coliseum, The Vatican Museums and any other sight you can as the lines in Rome are insane.
#2. Eat the local pizza. The water in Rome is famous and that helps make for an even more amazing pizza, also you don't have to share your pizza so get what ever you want on it!
#3. Pick & Choose your Roman sights. There is so much to see in Rome that you can't do it all in one trip. So pick the ones you want to see the most and focus on those as you may get burned out if you try to do too much.
#4. Bring good walking shoes as you will be seeing a lot of sights one after another and the actual tourist part of Rome is very walkable, but with cobblestones and lots of sights your feet will need the support.
#5. The Pope has his audience on Wednesday mornings so get there early for good seats.
#6. BONUS: all hotels in Rome will seem expensive so spend the money and stay closer to the historic center or in the historic center as you will save time.

Hi there. Bojan here from The Roman Guy. We're at the-- You know where we are. Today, we're going to show you how to see the Colosseum without crowds.
The Colosseum behind me is one of the most visited monuments in all of Europe and the most visited landmark in Rome, averaging around 11,000 people a day (about 4 million a year). In the summer months, this number goes way higher and we're talking about 30,000 people each day trying to enter the Roman Colosseum.
Now that's a lot of people - how are you going to avoid the crowds? We're here to help you out.
There's three ways that you can see the Colosseum.
1. You can purchase your ticket after arriving to the Colosseum. This is the way that I strongly advise against because you're going to be standing down there with all of those people.
Bear in mind, there are two different lines you're going to go through. One for the security check outside and one for the entrance tickets inside.
If by any chance, this is absolutely the only way you can see the Colosseum, at least make sure that you bring a bottle of water and some snacks. In the summer, it can get really, really hot around there. You are allowed to bring small bags inside the Colosseum.
2. You should pre-book your entrance tickets on the Colosseum website in advance. In this case, you will only wait for the security check, which might take only a few minutes. After that, you will bypass the line of people waiting for the tickets, go directly to your reservation desk where you collect your tickets, and go inside. If you're not planning on joining a tour group, this is definitely the best way to do it.
3. Absolutely the best way to get the most out of your Colosseum experience is by joining a guided tour. Your professional Colosseum guide will share all the information you want. Plus, you will get skip the line Colosseum tickets and enter through a special group entrance. Your security line wait will be shorter as well.
There are plenty of great tour companies around and even the Colosseum itself organizes tours. We recommend for the best experience, small group and behind-the-scenes options. Some of these include access to the restricted areas of the Colosseum including the Arena Floor and Underground.
This means you will get to go underground into the areas where the wild animals used to be kept, on the reconstructed arena floor where the gladiators used to fight, and all the way up to the third level of the stands for an amazing view of the building and the area around it.
Also remember, regardless of which option you choose, your Colosseum ticket gives you access to the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill as well, so you can explore these areas too.
Guys, these are your different options and different ways to get inside the Colosseum. Some with more crowds, some with less. The choice is completely yours.
Roma Pass Review: Should you buy it?

Should I buy the Roma Pass or should I not buy the Roma pass? That’s what I asked myself when I was in Rome. Well as you can see, we only have 2 options here: there’s the 48 hour one where I can visit one museum and the public transportation for 28 euro. Or the other option is the 3-day pass for 2 museums with the public transportation for 36 euros.
I’m all about saving money, so immediately, I did some quick calculations and based on the fact that I really wanted to visit the Coliseum which by the way cost 12 euros, if I go ahead with the 48 hour pass, that means I will have to take the public transportation 11 times to break even. So yeah, unless your plan is to hope on and off the bus 6 times a day, don’t thing you’ll get your moneys worth.
The thing is I did a lot of research online and a lot of bloggers suggested to buy the pass because you’re able to skip the line. So I thought, what the heck, let’s give this Roma Pass a try, and wow I was really glad I bought it. The lineups there was insane and I went during the low season of March so it’s pretty crazy.
So here’s the thing, if you have a couple of ours to spare then sure, skip the pass and save a few euros but if you value your time as money then I definitely suggest investing 28 euros in the 48 hour pass, I’m telling you, it is money well spent!

In February 2014, here is a game presentation in Italian between RINTCH Traveling Team 2014 and Omnia Roma. Exactly one year ago, we came to Rome Italy to play a friendly game against Omnia Roma. The president of Omnia also thanked everyone for the hospitality we gave them when they visited us in Norway in December 2013.
Rome's Vatican & Sistine Chapel Tour: How to Avoid the Crowds
Imagine standing in the Sistine Chapel, with just a handful of people around. Or walking through the Vatican City Museums with not one other soul... It is possible!
On our trip to Rome, we wanted to see as much of Vatican City's highlights, without the thousands of tourists, long waits and jampacked rooms. I am so happy that we took this small group tour with LivItaly because we actually got to learn a lot and ENJOY our experience.
You wake up EARLY but it is all worth it when you meet your guide--Giulia was amazing--and then you walk into the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel in the quiet hours of the morning before they are even open to the public!

Top things to do in Rome on a budget | Roma Pass Vlog
On April 2016 I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the city of Rome with my friend. Rome is a city with plenty of history, wonderful architecture and delicious food. Before all of this, there was a lot of planning especially since I had to do this trip on a budget. Thankfully, I found out about the Roma Pass before I came to Rome and purchased it in order to save money on multiple tickets for attractions as well as time (I got to skip the line in attractions). The Roma Pass also helped me save on public transportation since it already was included.
Follow me along this journey without all the walking…In this video I show you sights of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Castel Sant’ Angelo and Trevi Fountain. My personal favorite attraction that I got to see in Rome is Castel Sant’ Angelo because there is plenty of history behind this building. It looks deceiving in the beginning because all you see around are prisons and cannons. Once you start walking further inside you find fascinating works of Michaelangelo and the impressive Sala Paolina.
Attractions that I got on with the Roma Pass:
Colosseum
Roman Forum & Palatine Hill
Castel Sant’ Angelo
Museo Nacional Romano
Great free attractions to see in Rome:
Trevi Fountain
The Pantheon
Piazza di Spagna
Spanish Steps
