Quan Âm Pagoda is a Chinese-style Buddhist pagoda located on Lao Tu Street in Cho Lon, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Founded in the 19th century, it is dedicated to Guanyin (Vietnamese: Quan Âm), the Chinese goddess of mercy and the Chinese form of the Indian bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. The pagoda is popular among both Vietnamese and Chinese Buddhists; most of its inscriptions are in Chinese characters, but some have had Vietnamese labels added. In addition to veneration of Guanyin and the teachings of the Buddha, the pagoda also includes Pure Land worship of the Amitabha Buddha (A Di Da Phat), elements of Taoism, and the folk worship of the Fujianese sea goddess Mazu in her role as the Queen of Heaven (Thien Hau).

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Skyline 2020 | Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh 2020 [Drone/Flycam]
Ho Chi Minh City (commonly known as Saigon) is a city in southern Vietnam famous for the pivotal role it played in the Vietnam War. It's also known for its French colonial landmarks, including Notre-Dame Cathedral, made entirely of materials imported from France, and the 19th-century Central Post Office. Food stalls line the city’s streets, especially around bustling Bến Thành Market.
The story of wartime Saigon is told at the War Remnants Museum, the tunnel network at Củ Chi and Independence Palace, where North Vietnamese tanks famously breached the gates in April 1975. The Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens are home to elephants, tigers and rare orchids. Native plants and animals may also be seen at the Cần Giờ Biosphere Reserve, a mangrove forest at the mouth of the Saigon River. The Jade Emperor Pagoda is filled with incense and carved figurines, and features elaborate statuary and a turtle pond. Wikipedia

THINGS TO DO IN SAIGON | Top Attractions in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
This travel video highlights the best things to do while visiting Saigon along with all of the top attractions one should potentially consider when traveling or touring around Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As one of the most in your face and cocky cities in all of SE Asia (let alone Vietnam) Saigon is best described as functionally chaotic. Taking the time to properly explore the city is an absolute must. The following is a list of seven things to try before you leave the city limits:

1) Buy Quirky Travel Souvenirs
Vietnam has more quirky travel souvenirs than just about any other country I've ever visited. From Weasel coffee (that's been pooped out) to snake wine this nation has it all. Come home armed with presents that will either shock or make your friends laugh out loud.
2) Visit the War Remnants Museum
The War Remnants museum is the most somber attraction on this list. The war itself was full of atrocities on both sides (although this museum is from the perspective of the north); however, it's the gallery focused on 'agent orange' that really caught our attention.
3) Wander around Thien Hau Pagoda
This fascinating Buddhist temple is dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea. In the past, people came here to pray for a safe trip before embarking on a journey out to sea. These days it's noteworthy for its incense burning and coils.
4) Binh Tay Market
If you're looking to brush elbows with locals (and tourists) head over to Binh Tay Market for all of the mayhem you can handle. If this place doesn't sell what you're looking for it's unlikely to exist anywhere else on earth.
5) Marvel at the Reunification Palace
The former Presidential Palace (now called the Reunification Palace) was once home to the President of South Vietnam. In April, 1975 this all changed when tanks from the north crashed through the gates. The premises have been left to look exactly the way it did many decades ago.
6) Visit Notre Dame Cathedral
This stunning Cathedral is a significant landmark in Saigon. Built with red bricks it really stands out and is right beside the General Post Office. Come on Sunday and you'll be treated to mass.
7) Check out the General Post Office
Last but certainly not least, make sure to check out the General Post Office. Designed by Gustave Eiffel (that guy who built the Eiffel Tower) when Vietnam was under control of French Indochina, its got a classic timeless appeal:
