Anniversary marked in Jasenovac of Vatican-Ustashe genocide against the Orthodox Church
Orthodox Church has again commemorated persecution by Vatican-Croat-NAZI persecution of Serbian Orthodox Christians in Hitler-occupied Yugoslavia.
In April 1941 Hitler occupied Kingdom of Yugoslavia and established NAZI(Ustashe) Croatia. Immediately Croat NAZI regime and the Roman-Catholic Church have organized dozens of death camps, the biggest one was Jasenovac death camp in which over 700 000 Orthodox Christians were martyred, Jasenovac death camp was directed by Roman-Catholic Gray Friars, Croatians organized 9 camps designed for eradication of Orthodox Christian Children population.
300 000 more Orthodox Christians were murdered outside of Jasenovac death camp in various smaller camps, ambushes, and their local villages and cities.
Ustashe Croat Leader Ante Pavelic was many times received in official audience by the Pope of Rome and blessed during the war. When the war ended, Ante Pavelic fled from the Allies Forces with the help of Vatican to Argentina and later Franco's Fascist Spain.
In 2017 Vatican has again denied Orthodox Church full access to it's archives, undermining Christian reconciliation.
SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH EN
Dubrovnik's Orthodox church was built in 19th century, and stands behind impressive wrought iron gates. It houses a number of icons, mainly Byzantine and Cretan, but those looking for a more extensive collection should head for the museum on the second floor of the building next door.

Bosnia and Herzegovina - (featuring some pictures of Dubrovnik, Croatia)
This is a video I made using some of the pictures I shot during my short trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina (end of april/beginning of may 2009). During this video you will see graceful natural views and nice old towns, full of history and traditions.
The original video featured some traditional songs from Ex-Yugoslavia villages, but I had to change the music for copyright reasons and I used a parte of Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 in F major (the Pastoral Symphony).

St. Ignatius Church - Dubrovnik
The Jesuit Church of St Ignatius is the most highly decorated church in Dubrovnik. Completed in 1729, it remains a good example of baroque style. The approach is just as impressive as the church. Access is up a stone staircase modelled on the Spanish Steps in Rome. On your right just as you enter is the slightly kitsch Lady of Lourdes Grotto. A wonderful 3D diorama. Entry to the church is free, it opens at 9am

A cidade foi bombardeada em 1991 e 1992 pelas tropas da Sérvia e do Montenegro, daí resultando danos importantes em edifícios históricos e classificados pela UNESCO. Ainda se vêem algumas marcas desse ataque, mas a cidade está hoje reconstruída, com telhados novos na maioria dos edifícios, bem visíveis do alto das muralhas.
Dubrovnik, Croatia - Images of a visit on May 2015: the city walls, the towers and bastions, the churches (the serbian orthodox church, the cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the franciscan church outside and inside, and the churches of Saint Saviour, Saint Blaise, Saint Ignatius and Saint Dominica outside), Rector's and Sponza palaces, the old harbour, etc.
The town was bombed on 1991 and 1992 by the troops of Serbia and Montenegro, historic and UNESCO classified buildings being then severely damaged. We can see yet some marks of that attack, but nowadays the town is reconstructed, with new roofs on most buildings, well visible from the top of the walls.

Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic said on Thursday (24/8) that
the Bosnian Serbs will not give up a single foot of Eastern
Herzegovina. Earlier in the day, Karadzic and Momcilo Krajisnik - the
speaker of the Bosnian Serb Parliament visited a Serbian Orthodox
Church in Trebinje before going on a morale boosting tour of the
frontline near Mostar. Karadzic said the Bosnian Serbs were
determined not to be defeated by Croat and Moslem offensives in
the region and that he welcomes the latest peace initiatives.

Does the Roman Catholic religion really have a 2000 year old history as Roman Catholics constantly argue for? Again & again Romanists argue that their Roman church organization & its hierarchy go back to Pope Peter in the first century. Our Director of Research Steve Morrison (webmaster for - which deals with early Christian church history; - which answers over 8500 Bible questions, & - which refutes the false religion of Islam created by Muhammad) has the following reply for Roman Catholics who make the ridiculous 2000 year claim: Hi, Just a little correction here. It was said, Yet only the Catholic Church and its 2000 year history can match. There was no Roman Catholic church back then. The first person to be called a Pope was Heraclas of Alexandria (236-249 A.D.). The Copts trace their popes from him, not Roman Catholics. The first Roman bishop to be called a Pope was Siricius (c.384-399 A.D.), after Nicea. So the Copts have prior claim to a pope, not Roman Catholics. A Roman Catholic today cannot consider the Copts as non-Christians, since the Roman Catholic church in more recent times has restored communion with the Coptic church. Furthermore the Greek Orthodox church, which orthodox people would argue goes back father than the Roman Catholic church, never needed a pope. The 325 A.D. Council of Nicea established four central metropolitan churches, not one. So if you accept the tradition of the church councils, then by church tradition Rome is NOT the center of the church. The orthodox church did not break away from the Roman Catholic church; both churches excommunicated each other. So if you are a Roman Catholic who wants to follow the truth, you must stop saying things like Yet only the Catholic Church and its 2000 year history can match because it is a provable, historical lie, as any Greek Orthodox or Copt will strenuously tell you. As Protestants, we want to go back to the Bible, not man-made organizations with their brutal massacres, papal assassinations, anti-popes, forced deposition of popes, a pope tried for heresy after his death, torture and inquisitions, burning their own saint at the stake, etc. But that is not my main point here. My main point is that if a Roman Catholic brings up Yet only the Catholic Church and its 2000 year history can match, once they have been shown that it is provably false, they have to now stop saying that, or else they have disqualified yourselves as someone who cares about the truth.
