The Main Street District of downtown Dallas, Texas (United States) runs along Main Street. The district is the spine of downtown Dallas, and connects many of the adjoining business and entertainment districts.
Main Street has historically been the center of the city of Dallas. Many of Dallas' major retailers, hotels and banks once located here, and the district includes the city's early skyscrapers. Subsequent development of downtown moved north and east to the City Center District in following years, leaving many of the historic buildings inefficient for modern offices.
The Main Street District was the first district of downtown Dallas to experience extensive urban revival. Many of the grand historic buildings that had been neglected have been restored and adapted for new use. Pegasus Plaza, an urban plaza bounded by the Magnolia Hotel, Iron Cactus Restaurant, Adolphus Tower and the Kirby Building, is a gathering place for visitors and residents at the heart of the district. The narrow tree-lined street is a major pedestrian route through downtown. The district contains many sidewalk restaurants, basement night clubs and retail stores (most notably Neiman Marcus). While several of the buildings have found new life, there are many still awaiting restoration. Main Street Garden Park is a new focal park of the district's east end.
Commerce and Elm Streets, major east-west thoroughfares, form the boundaries of the district and also contain many additional landmark structures.
Dallas is a major city in the state of Texas and is the largest urban center of the fourth most populous metropolitan area in the United States. The city proper ranks ninth in the U.S. and third in Texas after Houston and San Antonio.[8][9] The city's prominence arose from its historical importance as a center for the oil and cotton industries, and its position along numerous railroad lines.

The Dallas-Fort Worth MSA has one of the largest concentrations of corporate headquarters for publicly traded companies in the United States. Fortune Magazine's 2015 annual list of the Fortune 500 in America indicates the city of Dallas has 9 Fortune 500 companies,[90] and the DFW region as a whole has 21, reflecting the strong growth in the metro economy and up from 18 the year before.[91] In 2007–08, Comerica Bank and AT&T located their headquarters in Dallas. Additional Fortune 500 companies headquartered in Dallas include Energy Transfer Equity, HollyFrontier, Southwest Airlines, Tenet Healthcare, Texas Instruments, Dean Foods, Trinity Industries, and Energy Future Holdings. Irving is home to 6 Fortune 500 companies of its own, including ExxonMobil, the most profitable company in the world and the second largest by revenue for 2015,[90] Kimberly-Clark, Fluor (engineering), Commercial Metals, Celanese, and Pioneer Natural Resources.[90] Additional companies headquartered in the Metroplex include American Airlines, Regency Energy Partners, Atmos Energy, Neiman Marcus, 7-Eleven, Brinker International, Primoris Services, Radio Shack, D.R. EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- A four-ship formation of historic aircraft from the Texas Flying Legends Museum arrived at Edwards Air Force Base on Sept. 18, in preparation for celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force's birthday, as well as the world's first supersonic flight. The celebration is scheduled for Oct. 13 and 14, and is open to those with base access and their guests.

SD Texas Touch Setup
Hey fellow Gearheads and Seymour Duncan Artists!
In honor of Texas legends Billy Gibbons and Dimebag Darrel, as well as my affinity for all things Megadeth, I've been working on a near omnipotent tone setup that I think can easily rival any EMG or other active or passive setup in terms of metal, as well as give those with a desire to explore other genres just what they need to kill it, all in one guitar setup: two humbuckers (Dimebucker NECK and Thrashfactor BRIDGE) and a three-way switch with two push-pull volumes for coil-splitting and a kill-switch tone pot (my tribute to Billy Gibbons). All conceived and made here in the Dallas, Texas area.
I've been a guitar maker for over a decade, and been into wiring, upgrading and repairing guitars far longer. I worked for Mayones Guitars and Basses in Poland, and to my knowledge, the only American to have done so.
I am obsessed with music and with guitar tone. I hope that my experiments pay off for those of you wanting a powerful sound, and hope to build a legacy for myself related to music in some fashion.
This video is a very simple one. I make tons of mistakes in the playing aspect, but my goal here is to give you a relatively comprehensive idea of what you can expect from this setup. It will vary slightly from guitar to guitar, based on wood used and other variances, but the overall sonic value will be nearly the same.
Gear used to record: ESP LTD EC1000 Deluxe with my 8-TONE Texas Touch setup (NOTE: the Thrashfactor was doctored, replacing stock screws with hex-cap for more aggression). Playing through a Marshall MG30DFX amp, set as follows: CLEAN - bass at 7, treble at max, zero FX. OVERDRIVE - (gain varies from half to max, as indicated in the video), bass at 7, contour at 4, treble at max, zero FX.
The wiring diagram is shown at the end. If you have questions, I'd love to try to help out. This is my first showcase video, so please try not to be too harsh. If you guys want one, I'll make a wiring video tutorial. I've been a teacher a long time professionally, so don't be afraid to ask questions! You'll get no judgement from me.

Why should all the glory go to the rockstars that already get enough attention? 5 Dragons Caught On Camera & Spotted In Real Life!
Dragons. They are large, mighty, and a common occurrence…in fantasy novels and RPGs. In ancient times, dragons were viewed as deities. They were considered the guardians of the Earth and of mankind. But somehow throughout the years, dragons evolved into two cultural subsets: either they are viewed as cute creatures that make great house pets, or they are seen as vicious, hobbit-killers. Regardless of how you view them, what if there was evidence that they existed? Today, we have five videos where dragons have been spotted in the wild. Let’s begin…
5) Cave Dragon
Earlier this year, a young man took a trip to Asia. And on this trip he decided he wanted to go spelunking, which is the recreational sport of cave exploration. While going through a cave, the young man saw something moving around in the shallow water at his feet.Using the camera built into his phone, the young man began recording. At his feet you can see a pale, almost white colored creature, darting around in the water. It’s tapered head can be seen shifting in the water, and looks very dragon-like in shape. As the creature starts to swim around again, you can see tiny limbs reaching out to grasp nearby rocks. As it swims, its long, skinny body undulates, reminiscent of the snake-like dragons seen in traditional Chinese culture.
4) The Monterrey Dragon
Not long ago, Mexico’s media exploded because of a sudden discovery in Monterrey. A most mysterious creature was found in the wilderness. When a group came upon the animal, they decided to capture it in an attempt to identity it. They had never seen anything quite like it before. The group immediately contacted a news station about it. The creature is seen being held and examined as the footage rolls. It was petite enough to be held, and it never seemed compelled to strike out at the handler. Instead it just opened it’s gaping wide mouth to shriek and communicate. Unsure of how to proceed, the dragon-like creature was carefully placed into a pet carrier until authorities could be notified.
3) The Dallas Dragon
This video hails from Dallas, Texas. Not much can be derived about who the camera operator is, or where about in Dallas the dragon was spotted. But a dragon it most certainly is. This is no baby, folks. The massive dragon was first seen resting on top of what appears to be a radio tower. Despite the camera operator’s spatial distance from the dragon, it’s easy to tell this dragon is massive as it is filmed flapping its wings. The dragon then takes off in a leisurely way, and flies out of frame. The camera operator zooms back out, and we can see that he or she was on a moderately busy street, although those driving might not have been able to see the dragon as well as the camera operator had from their viewpoint.
2) The Bat Dragon
This large dragon was also spotted somewhere in the United States, although it is not specified where. Based on the brief glimpses of the telephone wires, low roof tops and antenna seen in the surrounding environment, one might guess that it was a residential area where this dragon was seen. The dragon is seen flying at a relaxed pace across the screen. Unlike the other adult dragon video, this one appears to have very bony wings, angular wings almost like that of a bat…. but this is definitely not a bat.It appears that the dragon spots something of interest because after a few moments he transcends behind a house and out of sight. Wherever this dragon calls home, there is no doubt that it requires a large home and multiple meals a day to stay alive.
1) Peto’s Dragon
Our last dragon video is also of unknown origin, but was uploaded in May of this year. It was an extremely cloudy and foggy day when he was spotted by someone outside. Peto, the young man who uploaded the video seems to have stopped dead in his tracks and begin filming with his phone after seeing the gigantic beast. This dragon is less bat-like than the previous one, but is equally large and intimidating. The winged creature is first seen flying behind a tree. The dragon careens around and is seen again, gliding on stretched wings through the dark sky.

The Media in Mexico released something very strange for the human eye. This Creature was found in the dessert and nobody had never seen anything like it. It was captured by a civil protection group. When it was analyzed, it was identified as a type of dragon or something similar to the Dragon Family .... But lets leave the talking and watch the video.What do you think?

This Dragon like creature is flying over mountains in China. These mountains are considered the ancient kingdom of the mythical dragon. There are different versions regarding this strange creature. Could it be a dragon or a flying dinosaur? Gotsokillz de Chao pointed out that the Dragon is real and nothing is impossible on earth. There are things that science can explain, but sometimes it cant, it all depends on whether we believe it or not.

A young man who was traveling in Asia, was recording in a cave when he met a strange creature moving in the water near his feet. It looks similar to a miniature dragon. His skin was as white as milk and was spinning in the water. Just seeing the shape of his head and the movements. people have related this strange thing with a dragon snake of the Chinese Mythology. Get ready because this is not the typical dragon you are used to seeing. Here is the video!

White Rock Lake is a reservoir located in north-east Dallas, Texas (United States). The lake was formed by damming White Rock Creek, which today widens into the lake before continuing south out of the spillway and emptying into the Trinity River. The lake covers 1,254 acres (5.1 km²) in the east Dallas community.
After its function primarily as a water source was supplanted, White Rock Lake continued to serve as a recreational lake for both City of Dallas and suburban residents. From its earliest days, area residents wanting to get away from home constructed cabins on leased property along its shoreline. The Bonnie Barge, for example, was operated on the lake by Garland resident John H. Williams, Sr. from 1946 to 1956.
Although originally permitted, swimming was banned in September 1952 and a ban on motorized boats followed in 1958. Current recreational activities on the lake include kayaking, canoeing and standup paddleboarding, available by rental.[4]
The lake is surrounded by White Rock Lake Park, which features a 9.33 mile (15 km) trail for hiking, running and bicycling, the Bath House Cultural Center and the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. There are several fishing piers and sailing is permitted.
The Bath House once served as a boathouse for several crew teams, including SMU. White Rock Boathouse (established in 1930) was originally used for motor boats, but was later adapted to house sculling boats. The Boathouse later went on to lease the old Filter Building and holding tanks from the former purification facility and converted them into what may be the largest boathouse worldwide. This building currently houses the boats for SMU, Jesuit Prep, and White Rock Boathouse's own crew teams.
White Rock Marathon[edit]
Many events are held at White Rock Lake, including the White Rock Marathon, which, for part of the course, runs around the lake.[5] The White Rock Marathon is recognized as a top 10 marathon within the United States, and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The primary beneficiary of the marathon is Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
