We always dreamed to visit teh NAZCA LINES, now we are here and it still feels like a dream.
Most of the tourists know about them but most don't know that Nazca is not just about the lines, Nazca has so much to offer.
In this video we made a full day tour that was a lot of fun, then we visited the Antonini Museum and to finish the trip OFF COURSE we had to go to the NAZCA LINES.
We really learn a lot about the culture of this place and the LINES are really amazing.

Peru Tours & Vacations - Nazca - Fertur Peru
The town of Nazca, founded in 1595 by order of Viceroy Garcia Hurtado de Mendoza, 800 years after the Nasca culture thrived in the arid region from 300 B.C. to 800 A.D.
The color and perfection of that ancient cultures ceramics are renowned worldwide.
They also produced the famed Nazca Lines, hundreds of geoglyphs etched into the arid plateau that stretches more than 80 kilometers, or some 50 miles, between Nazca and the town of Palpa on the Pampas de Jumana. The figures are considered Cultural Patrimony by UNESCO.
The complexity and breadth of the lines can only be fully appreciated from the air: From simple geometric figures to tremendous stylized hummingbirds, spiders, monkeys, fish, sharks, llamas and lizards.
This is a preview of the marvels that can be experienced during a visit to Nazca.

Tour Peru in 21 days with G Adventures
A chance to visit Peru is something so many travellers dream of - and a chance to visit Peru for an extended period of time is even better. How else will you discover everything this stunning country has to offer? Today, TourRadar and G Adventures are taking you along for the ride as several lucky travellers spend 21 days diving headfirst into Peru’s culture, vibrant nightlife, and gorgeous natural beauty - are you ready for Absolute Peru?
The journey begins in Lima, where travellers soak up as much Peruvian culture as possible - and it only gets more impressive from here. Drive through the desert sands at the Huacachina Oasis, ponder the mysterious Nazca Lines, and go trekking through Cola Canyon. The best part about Peru is that there is no best part - each day is more exciting than the one before it!
Of course, there’s one thing that keeps travellers coming back to Peru each and every year, and that’s the Inca Trail. This ancient path is such a major draw to travellers that the Peruvian government limits the number of people permitted to walk it each year, but, thankfully, when you’re travelling with a tour group like G Adventures, you’ll always have your permit on hand! Spend three glorious days in expansive, untouched nature, learning all about the ancient Inca people who lived in this region centuries ago. It’s a long, occasionally-difficult walk, but it’s beyond worth it: you’ll enjoy some of the best views on the planet, and once it’s over you’ll be able to explore the ancient city of Machu Picchu.
After all that trekking, who wouldn’t want to blow off some steam? Lucky for you, there’s still plenty of Peru to see! Spend a day exploring the city of Cusco (maybe with a pisco sour or two thrown in for good measure!) and then cruise through the rainforest to get an even better look at Peru’s awe-inspiring nature. Before you know it, you’ll be back in Lima, not-quite ready to say goodbye to your incredible three weeks in Peru!
Does this adventure seem tailor-made for you? Head over to TourRadar to check out this itinerary, as well as countless other G Adventures tours that can take you all around the world.

PERU TRAVEL 14.wmv
A trio of special attractions and an archaeological treasure trove await visitors along the southern Pacific coast of Peru in Ica, Nazca and Paracas. All are now even more comfortably accessible by car from Lima via the paved Pan-American Highway, which follows the desert lowlands all the way to Chile.
PARACAS
The Paracas peninsula, 125 miles from Lima, and the nearby Ballestas Islands make up the most important wildlife sanctuary on the Peruvian coast.
Birds -cormorants, boobies, pelicans, flamingos and penguins (in season)- as well as colonies of sea lions are on view from tour boats cruising to the islands. From the water, visitors also see the Candelabro, a giant figure in the style of the Nazca drawings etched into the coastal hills. A museum on the peninsula exhibits a small collection of weavings, found wrapped around the mummies of the Paracas necropolis.
ICA
Located between Paracas and Nazca, Ica is a lush agricultural oasis surrounded by desert sands. It sits at the center of wine and pisco (brandy) production in Peru, and tours can be arranged to the local wineries, a particularly interesting visit at harvest time (late February until early April). A must in Ica is the Regional Museum, known for its fine examples of regional textiles and pottery from the Paracas, Nazca and Inca cultures.
NAZCA
Some 2,500 years ago, Nazca was the seat of a pre-Inca civilization highly advanced in both astronomy and ceramic art. Today enormous geoglyph figures of animals, birds and geometric figures remain etched in the desert, a testimony to this remarkable culture. The line drawings can only be seen and appreciated from the air, aboard small aircraft. Planes take off from Nazca, as well as Ica and Lima, for aerial viewings. By road, Nazca lies 100 miles south from Ica.

PART SeveN - HUACACHINA DESERT
Huacachina is a village built around a small oasis and surrounded by sand dunes in southwestern Peru. It is about five kilometers from the city of Ica in the Ica District of Ica Province. The oasis was introduced as a feature on the back of the 50 nuevo sol note in 1991. Huacachina has a permanent population of around 100 people, although it hosts many tens of thousands of tourists each year.
Huacachina is built around a small natural desert lake, commonly referred to as the oasis of America. It is a resort geared to local families from the nearby city of Ica, and increasingly as an attraction for tourists drawn by the sports of sandboarding on the sand dunes that reach several hundred feet high. Other popular activities include dune buggy rides on buggies known locally as areneros.
Legend holds that the lagoon was created when a beautiful native princess removed her clothes to bathe, but after looking in a mirror she saw a male hunter approaching her from behind. Startled at the intrusion, she fled the area leaving behind her mirror which turned into a lake. Other versions hold that she fled, leaving the pool of water she had been bathing in to become the lagoon. The folds of her mantle, streaming behind her as she ran, became the surrounding sand dunes. The woman herself is rumoured to still live in the oasis as a mermaid.[9]

David Wilcock Comments on the Discovery of a Three fingered Mummy in Peru
COAST TO COAST AM - David Wilcock commented on the discovery of a three-fingered mummy in Peru (see below), pointing out if it's a hoax, it's a very sophisticated one. The mummy, which may have extraterrestrial origins, could not have been fabricated for what the researchers paid to acquire it, he suggested. According to Wilcock, the universe seems to function on a base-6 counting system, something three-fingered aliens might use. These fingers have prehensile tips... all three of them can function as thumbs, he explained, noting they are vastly superior to human hands.
