My First Custom Made Dress in Vietnam | Ho Chi Minh City Travel Vlog
Ready to see my first time presenting for TUI? I had my first tailored dress custom made in Vietnam! I felt like Cinderella. This was made at Lien Huong in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City and the whole process took 2 days from fitting to finish! Fits like a glove so should probably have 3 Vietnamese coffees a day instead of 5...

HOI AN - Vietnam's most beautiful town | Buying tailored clothes & Vietnamese Ao Dai
We were stunned by what we saw in Hoi An. This is the place that everyone is talking about in Vietnam and it was easy to see why. We never expected to see such beautiful colonial buildings, tropical scenes coupled with delicious food and bespoke tailoring all at very accessible prices.
So is it worth visiting Hoi An? How busy does it get? Where can you buy cheap clothes in Hoi An? Let us show you the answers to all of this in our video.
We had heard about Hoi An being a UNESCO world heritage site and it had been declared the best city in the world to visit in 2019. Instagram is full of pictures people have taken in this gorgeous city.
At just 45 minutes from Da Nang airport, Hoi An is an essential stop for anybody wishing to visit Vietnam.
I'm a Mexican who has been living in Vietnam for around 6 months now. If you are curious about visiting or living in Vietnam, please feel free to check out our videos for more information.

(English Below) Đây là lần đầu tiên J mặc áo dài Việt Nam.
This is my first time wearing a Vietnamese áo dài. Honestly the whole process of getting a piece of traditional clothing that truly reflects who you are as a person is such an empowering experience. Amidst globalisation and the burring of geographical barriers, I hope this video will inspire you to appreciate your own cultural identity, to be proud of where you came from and to never forget your roots. What about you guys? What’s your favourite aspect of the áo dài (or any other traditional piece of clothing from your country)?

Custom Printed T Shirts in Danang Vietnam 2018
It's no secret we started this adventure with only a few items of clothing packed each and we are sure you have all seen every single one of them, so when we compared the price of getting some custom printed t-shirts made up in Da Nang, Vietnam, we were surprised to find out that they didn't cost much more than the price of a knock off brand at the local markets!
So with the help of our wonderful graphics designer and video guru Eva, from theevapeterson.com (who also created our youtube banner and animated our logo you see at the start of our videos.), we come up with design to be printed.
We then asked the great girls Mai and Vy, that we had met on the Da Nang free walking tour, for a recommendation of who to use locally for the printing and they recommended, who have done a great job!
So thank you to every one who helped us and we look forward to trying them out in next video :)
We'd love it if you liked and shared this video, so others who haven't yet heard of us, also get a chance to share in the experience. Thanks :)

We are Leon and Tash, a New Zealand vlogging couple who set off on an amazing Vietnam adventure as fulltime travellers, backpacking Vietnam. But we weren't going to travel to Vietnam for one of those ordinary backpacking Vietnam trips you hear about everybody doing, where they go for a couple off weeks and check out the beaches or maybe riding through Vietnam at such a crazy pace that they never get off the beaten track. No we want more than that.
Our Vietnam adventures start with learning the way of the locals, taking just enough time to figure out how things work, discover what the Must see places in Vietnam are and more importantly where Vietnam's hidden gems are...
To do this, we moved to Danang Vietnam. The plan was to spend 3 months living in Da Nang, meeting and learning from locals about the culture, the amazing food, their way of living and what places they would recommend to travel in Vietnam.
And because Danang is in the middle of the country, we hoped we might meet other tourists or expats who were having their own Vietnam travel adventure or were at the halfway point of motorcycle riding through Vietnam and hear from them, what places they thought we must visit in Vietnam. Also, as new travel vloggers, having a base there meant we could try things like doing Da Nang Vietnam travel vlog or creating a Danang Vietnam travel guide, before also taking on the stresses of fulltime travel.
Then in month 4, that's when the real Vietnam adventure begins. With our new list of must see places, we will head to Saigon and buy a couple of motorbikes. to start our Vietnam road trip!
Motorcycle riding through Vietnam seems like one of the most hectic, crazy and chaotic things anyone could do, but we can't wait!! And we wont be following a simple South to North / Saigon to Hanoi route, we plan on doing more like a figure 8, so that our travel in Vietnam will cover both the inland and coastal areas of this amazing country.
So can we still say we are backpacking Vietnam? Or should we be telling people our travel in Vietnam is a motorcycle trip through Vietnam? We're not sure, but what we do know is, our Vietnam road trip is going to cover over 6000km's from Saigon right up to the famous waterfalls of Ban Gioc near Cao Bang, round the northern point of the Ha Giang loop and everything else we can access in between.
So we hope you'll join us, the New Zealand vlogging couple, on our Vietnam adventure by clicking subscribe to join the Tribe and experience our travel in Vietnam..
Train Ride in Vietnam | Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) to Nha Trang Train Route Transportation Journey
In our latest travel video we board a train from Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) en route to Nha Trang marking our first train ride in Vietnam. Naturally, given our passion for train travel over all other modes of transportation, we were on edge with excitement. At first we were quite confused which cart to board given that numerous carts had the same number as ours. In Vietnam, there are a number of carriages reserved for private companies, such as ET Pumpkin and Eastern Oriental, which added to our confusion.

Even the ticket attendant had us shuffling around from cart to cart until we finally settled on the proper one and sat down at our seats. The train was packed and aside from a European couple seated next to us were the only foreigners on board. One thing we instantly noticed was that the trains weren't maintained as well as some of the others we've been on in Asia. Our seat cushion was frayed and the reclining option was broken. Regardless, we were still thrilled to be taking a train trip as opposed to being on a bus.
The journey itself was one of the most scenic I've been on in a long time.
The diversity in landscapes was quite impressive as we passed through regions that were covered by lush jungle, farmland, arid desert, flat and mountainous terrain. At times, I would get out of my seat and head outside of my carriage so that I could just feel the wind blowing in my face as I captured footage with my camcorder and just spent moments enjoying it with my naked eyes.
We loaded up on some local snacks at a small bakery in Saigon; however, we found ourselves eating plenty of Vietnamese options served on the train. Vietnamese Attendants pushing carts of various snacks and coffee were a frequent occurrence throughout our journey.
One of our favorite snacks in Vietnam is iced coffee and spring rolls. The process of serving the iced coffee was rather fascinating as condensed milk was first poured into the cup followed by coffee/sugar and finally crushed ice. It's a far more meticulous process than I ever imagined; I must say I have lot more respect for the process of preparing an iced coffee in Vietnam.
Overall the journey took 7 hours to complete; however, we didn't find it nearly that long as we spent a good bulk of the journey nodding off:

First Haircut in Vietnam & Cheap Prescription Glasses - Travel in Vietnam
I really need a haircut and Tash was hoping to get some new lenses made and fitted to her existing frames, but how easy or difficult either of these tasks will be, we have no idea?
So our plan was to head into Da Nang city centre and find an optometrist who offered cheap prescription glasses for Tash and while she was dealing with that, I would try to discover my first Vietnam barber and learn just how hard getting a haircut in Vietnam is...so did it all work out, or was it a disaster? You'll have to watch this Vietnam adventure to find out :)

Ao Dai | Vietnam's National Dress | History, Culture and Tradition
Vietnam's National Dress - Ao Dai gave MIG TV a sneak into the history of Vietnamese fashion and tradition as we take a walk across the Ao Dai Museum at the Saigon Skydeck
When in Ho Chi Minh City, a visit to this private museum located in District 9 and in between the popular Rex Hotel and the Bitexco Tower is highly recommended. Even if you are not one of those who would keep their diaries updated with the latest trends, the Ao Dai Museum will enchant you with its earthly setup, interesting workshops and an exhibition of the Ao Dai costumes from various periods and cultures. It is fascinating to witness how the influences of fashion from eastern as well as the western world have evolved this traditional dress.
The Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival is known for its great cultural significance and has a key hand in uplifting the image of Ho Chi Minh City and its budding tourism sector.
Traditional Vietnamese clothing Ao Dai shines in Vietnam
1000 Vietnamese youth wear ao dai during the 2016 Ao Dai Festival in Ho Chi Minh city. The 2007 Miss Vietnam Trương Thị May appeared on the festival. She said she felt herself more confident and more charming when she wears ao dai.
Gearing up in Vietnam. What to Wear in Vietnam
On our motorcycle tour of Vietnam. We got with the look of the locals and tried to blend in! We are fully decked out in the Vietnam fashion!
