Piazzale Michelangelo | Must see in Florence
So we already got Allie's anti-biotic drops for her eye, which we described in the last episode. This is our last day in Florence and because of eye issues we never made it to the Piazzale Michelangel!! So we took our last day/evening in Florence to head over and check out the view. I really wanted to get some drone shots of the city from this angle but I'm pretty sure it is frowned upon to do so. Check out this episode to see what it's like to ride on bikes in the streets of Firenze and check out the awesome views of the Duomo and the Santa Maria Del Fiore.

Florence, Italy: Church of San Miniato and Piazzale Michelangelo
More info about travel to Florence: For a thousand years, Florence's Church of San Miniato — still part of a functioning Benedictine monastery — has blessed the city that lies at the foot of its hill. While San Miniato comes with commanding Florentine vistas, the nearby Piazzale Michelangelo, marked by its towering statue of David, is the city's most popular viewpoint.
At you'll find money-saving travel tips, small-group tours, guidebooks, TV shows, radio programs, podcasts, and more on this destination.

Getting There/Directions:
Bus - Number 12 or 13 to Piazzale Michelangelo bus stop.
The city of Florence where there is art, history, architecture and this amazing view. So where do you find this view? From atop Piazzale Michelangelo.
Piazzale Michelangelo is a very popular attraction. During the day you can see the typical hussle-bussle, street vendors, artists selling their works. We came to Florence yesterday and it is a great, great city to visit. Such beauty in there and... ...and so romantic. Yes.
And what do we have here? The very famous, Michelangelo's David. But before you get too much excited, this is not the real one. It is just a replica, but it certainly adds to exciting avenues of this place. So, as you saw, this is the most romantic place in town. I am Giulio Frizzi, showing you Florence.

Incredible View of Florence - Piazzale Michelangelo I Family Travel Vlog
We went to the Sant'Ambrogio market in Florence, a great alternative to the San Lorenzo marked which can be quite touristy. The Sant'Ambrogio market is more for locals, and has everything from fruit and vegetables, meet and cheeses, to antiques and handmade things. We are looking for some crystal wine glasses and this marked had some great ones, although we didn’t find one’s we really wanted. We bought lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and had some yummy pasta!
The next day we drove to a place a little outside of Florence, where Helena Bartel lives in community with her family and some other people. We went there to film a video about a really cool tree glass house they have, which will be up on our other chancel “GoDownsize” soon! :)
Later, we went up to Piazzale Michelangelo which is a square with a panoramic view of Florence. The view was absolutely spectacular! Definitely a must see if you’re in Florence!

Piazzale Michelangelo & San Miniato - Florence, Italy
This is one of the most beautiful places in all of Italy! Piazzale Michelangelo overlooks Florence from across the river. You'll see the superb view of Florence in my video as well as San Miniato Church and its lovely grounds, the first Christian cemetery in Florence. The piazzale and San Miniato nearby. Take bus No. 12 or 13 from the train station, get off at Piazzale Michelangelo and walk a short distance.
