de passage dans la région, j'ai fait un arrêt à Plougonven en Trégor à quelques km de Morlaix dans le Finistère aux portes des Monts d'Arrée, j'ai visité son église Saint Yves gothique flamboyant de style Beaumanoir son enclos paroissial et son ossuaire, ses gargouilles grimaçantes

This was done on Saturday afternoon with a 30 mph SW wind off the Atlantic Ocean. The plane was the Psycho.

LAUNCH OF THE WIZARD
Launch of the Wizard at the 1st parking lot east of the beach near Plougasnou. This point is called Beg Gracia. The wind was coming out of the WNW at about 12 mph; the bluff is about 250 feet high, very steep, and covered with very thick bushes. The body of water is the English Channel which the French call la Manche. Out in the distance you see some rocks: these are called les Chaises de Primel.

Some passes of the PSYCHO on the great slope at Beg an Fry, France. All the yellow flowers that you see are from the Gorse bushes, with their deadly thorns. This has a very beautiful scent when activated by the sun and adds to the beauty of this unique and remote location.
Landing the WIZARD at Beg Gracia
After a half hour flight in steady WNW winds, I landed the WIZARD about 20 feet below where I was standing. This forced me to wade through the four foot high brush, on the steep slope. An episode that I would rather not repeat.
I flew at this same spot as far back as 1980. I have been coming to Brittany since 1971.

Greg and Dave rip up the sky with their planes. Greg is flying a Leading Edge P-51 and Dave is flying a Lumberjack. Temp was around 28 F, while the wind was pouring in at about 20 mph. No dead spot for protection here: just exposure to raw, cold wind.

EGLISE SAINT-PIERRE
En forme de croix latine à chevet plat et sans bas-côtés, elle a été reconstruite en 1874-1879.
L'on a conservé de l'ancien édifice le clocher édifié en 1700 par le maître maçon Guillaume Taoc.
La flèche octogonale à crochets, abattue par la foudre dans la nuit du 8 au 9 janvier 1886, a été reconstruite en 1902.
Elle est du même type que celle de Guerlesquin.
Mobilier :
Fonts baptismaux en granit.
Statues anciennes en bois polychrome : Christ en croix, couronné et en robe longue, provenant, d'après une inscription, de la chapelle du Christ et transféré pour le jubilé de 1904, XVIè siècle, autre Christ en croix, Vierge Mère, XVIe siècle, groupe triple de sainte Anne, l'aïeule portant sur les genoux Marie et l'Enfant Jésus qui
présente un livre à sa Mère, XVIe siècle, groupe provenant de la chapelle de Trogoff,
- haut-relief de saint Eloi occupé à ferrer le pied coupé d'un cheval, XVIe siècle (C.).
Au presbytère de Plouigneau : Saint Méen, provenant de la chapelle Saint-Méen ( XVIe ?); Saint Idy, dont le culte est attesté à Plouigneau ( Chap. N.D. de Bonne Nouvelle)
Orfèvrerie : Ciboire en argent daté 1666, poinçon de l'orfèvre parisien Pierre Le Doux, acheté chez l'orfèvre Oriot du Runiou (C.).
CHAPELLES DETRUITES
- Chapelle Saint-Laurent du Pouldour, encore en état en 1905. Edifice de plan rectangulaire avec chapelles en aile au sud, datant du XVIe siècle. Les rhumatisants prenaient des bains dans la fontaine, édicule à haute margelle d'o· l'eau tombait dans un bassin. La chapelle ne fut pas réparée systématiquement, en raison des désordres qui se produisaient au pardon, notamment à la fontaine.
- Chapelle Saint-Trémeur : c'était un petit édicule de plan presque carré, reconstruit au XIXe siècle et ne renfermant que la statue du saint patron portant sa tête dans ses mains. Murs encore debout. Fontaine à l'abandon.
- Chapelle Saint-Méen et Saint-Judicaël, sur la route de Trémel. Qualifiée en 1468 Plo-Méguen, elle avait été rebâtie en 1830 et renfermait les statues de saint Méen, saint Judicaël, saint Eloi et la sainte Vierge. C'est un édifice de plan rectangulaire avec clocheton. L'on a conservé dans le pignon les armes de Jean de Pensornou et de Marguerite de Perret, sa femme, vivants en 1570 (d'après L. Le Guennec). Murs encore debout. Croix monolithe de granit, Vierge orante au revers.
- Chapelle Sainte-Anne, c'était la chapelle du manoir de Trogoff.
- Chapelle du Christ, elle dépendait du manoir de la Haye. La fontaine a été détruite en 1856 ; on y plongeait les enfants pour hâter leur croissance.

La vallée de l'Arguenon est riche de patrimoine.
Ce enclos paroissial préservé est authentique.
On y retrouve un calvaire, l'if millénaire et biensûr la statue de St-Maudez.

Crediton Twinning Association Boules Tournament 2015
THE FRENCH took on teams from Crediton in the town twinning association’s annual boules tournament.
A team from the Normandy town of Avranches who were staying in Crediton during the weekend took on players from the Twinning Association, Town Council and Choir.
The competition has been held at the Town Square since the association was formed in 1989 and local organisations and groups take part to win the coveted trophy.
Organiser of the event, Peter Brewer said: “It’s very friendly atmosphere and we are pleased to have a team from France entering this year.
“We make full use of the square here, it’s a fabulous resource and great for the tournament.”
Chair of the Crediton Twinning Association, Jenny Pitts added: “Anybody is welcome to put in a team.
“It’s all based on fun and friendship and there’s a lot of fun, and we are all great friends.”

The Roosters and Hens of Key West, Florida
This was shot next to the Post Office in Key West, Florida. The street intersection was Eaton and Whitehead. These are found all over the Keys, but mostly in Key West. These free running roosters and hens are a great tourist attraction.
