Kayaking in Positano with Holly
It's October and still warm in Positano. Today Holly and I went for a kayak along the coast, past lots of bays and beaches and into a scary cave!
Positano: kayaking past Fornillo Beach
Kayaking with the dog around Positano, past Fornillo beach, lets go exploring!
Morning kayak in Positano with Holly!
This morning was overcast and a tiny bit cooler than the last few days so I took Holly out kayaking, just a quick trip around the bay!
She is not forced to come with me, she enjoys it. We have given her the choice, many times, of staying on land with one of us while the other goes kayaking and she always wants to climb on board. She loves spotting seagulls and flying fish out at sea.
Positano - Preparing for Rough Sea
It started off as a quick dog walk, and I was going to go through the Cemetery and along the path the other side. But we noticed the sea was changing and all the boats had been taken away to safe harbours. Our kayaks were close to the sea so I had to go down to the beach and move them away from the shore.
Everyone on the beach was preparing for rough seas and over a couple of hours the waves grew considerably. It is supposed to get really bad in 2 days time so I will keep vlogging!

Officially off-season in Positano
November and Positano is completely different from the summertime. It is a Sunday so there are winter daytrippers but not too many. We take a quick walk around town to see whats closed and then down to the peaceful empty beaches. Later on we join in an English tea party, yum!

I moved to Positano in 1999. I only meant to stay for the summer but I'm still here after all these years. In this video I tell you a bit about why I ended up here and a few other questions that I get asked.
I might do a follow up video, if there are any questions you have , leave me a comment below!

Ferragosto in Positano
The busiest day of the year in Positano. I spend the morning at home, but brave the crowds in the evening to see the procession along the beach and the fireworks, followed by all the boats foghorning their appreciation!
Positano off season - A walk around the the beach area
It was a beautiful sunny day so I thought it would be nice to take a quick walk around the beach areas to show you how it has transformed from a busy summer resort to a quiet sleepy town.
There is still some rubbish to be cleared away from the floods the other week, the trash collectors are working at full force, but other than that everything is almost back to normal.

Early Morning Swim in Positano
Just a little silky montage of a morning swim at Fornillo beach, Positano at the beginning of August. It gets very hot and crowded during the day so it's worth getting up extra early every now and then to go for a swim before everyone else. We meant to arrive before the sun hit the beach but ended up arriving at the exact moment that the sun appeared!

Early morning Kayak Fail - Why I need a GoPro!
Early morning Kayaking is great, but not in the rain.
I have been putting off buying a GoPro for ages (just think of the number of flights I could buy Skye to the UK and back for school with that money!) but after today's fail I thing I might have to bite the bullet.
I was going to make a video about a group of long distance swimmers and kayak alongside one of their swims.
And then it rained.
Hard.
Also, I show you some of my other failed attempts at making videos this summer!
