Detwilers Farm Market - Review - Sarasota, FL
Detwiler's Farm Market is located at 6100 N Lockwood Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34243. Detwiler's Farm Market is the complete antithesis of Publix. Based on Amish roots, Detwiler's offers quality organic and nonorganic fruits and vegetables at affordable prices. Detwiler's has incredible produce, grocery, meat, bakery, and a deli. Specials are written on low-tech, but very cool, neon yellow, orange, pink and green signs. The staff is courteous, friendly and empathic. There is also an ice cream store. Detweilers has a location in Venice and two in Sarasota. Detwiler's Farm Market on the corner of University and Lockwood Ridge Road is an experience to behold. I recommend the bread and deserts. Detwiler's popularity leads to long lines at the check-out counter, though. Detwiler's is located about 20 minutes from Bradenton, Tidy Island, and Lakewood Ranch. The sun of a new day -- a bright new dawn of hope and human rights brought about by the tireless struggle of farmworkers and their allies through the Campaign for Fair Food -- rose over the streets of Tampa on March 5th, 2011 as the Do the Right Thing Tour culminated in a huge, three-part march and a spectacular pageant of people and puppets. ROAD TRIP (Battlegrounds CQB Tampa Fl. 8/25/12)
Decided to take a long vacation to the great state of Florida and on the way to southern Florida made a stop at a great indoor field called Battlegrounds CQB (Address is in the video) It was a great indoor field with a nice setup from cars to even a giant bus. Pricing was excellent to.... much better and cheaper than it is in the north eastern part of the USA. I would highly recommend any airsoft enthusiast traveling to the Tampa area stop and give the field a try.

Publix takes heat for Putnam campaign donation
Publix Super Markets is taking some heat for getting political. Florida's largest grocery store chain is spending big money on Republican Adam Putnam's campaign for governor.
The Tampa Bay Times first reported Publix donated $670,000 to Putnam in the last three years, and as that news spread across the state, it triggered some backlash. Critics keyed into Putnam’s prior tweet in which he described himself as a ‘proud NRA sellout.’

This year for Thanksgiving, we chose to support Robbins Apartments by providing Thanksgiving dinner to their 300+ tenants.
Robbins Apartments is managed by the Trinity Without Borders organization, which helps to empower individuals and families to help get them on their feet.
Myself, along with colleagues in the South Florida region had the food prepared by Publix this year, and catered in to help these Bradenton residents.
