UAB Football Pre-Game Rally

If you haven't been to a UAB football game lately - you should. It's a priceless experience! The school's band, cheerleaders and dance team are well coached and somehow remain a high level of enthusiasm in spite of the lack of support by fans. I flew from LA to Atlanta and then drove to Birmingham for UAB's Thursday night showdown with No. 22 Southern Miss and had planned on a larger showing than I was greeted with.

This is the pre-game pep rally where the UAB Marching Blazers, Golden Girls, Blaze and cheerleaders performed outside Legion Field prior to UAB hosting the Eagles in November of 2011 - and as you can see almost no-one showed up. I know Alabama and Auburn are king here, but come on UAB fans - get out there and support your team.
