Always feel so incredibly grateful to be able to dive with these apex predators.
On our dive we got to see 4 different species of sharks: dusky, silky, lemon, & sandbar’s.
Always a great time diving with Mike Dech Scuba Instruction on Shark Tours FL
As the apex predator, the shark keeps the marine ecosystem in balance. Its absence can have devastating effects on the health of the ecosystem & Florida’s economy.
In 2016, an independent economic report commissioned by Oceana analyzed Florida shark tourism and found that shark encounters generated about $221 million in direct expenditures, which fueled 3,797 jobs and more than $116 million in wages. The total economic impact in 2016 alone for shark encounters, which includes indirect expenditures, was over $377 million.
The simple fact of the matter is this: Sharks in Florida generate more revenue alive and in the water than in a bowl of soup.
As of now, over 300 members of Congress (House and Senate) have co-sponsored The Shark Fin Sales Elimination Act, but one key Floridian member has not. Congressman Daniel Webster is the vice chair of the House Oceans Subcommittee and his support on this bill is critical for its success, but he has not yet signed on to it. I urge all Floridians who care about the ocean and who care about our state to contact Rep. Webster’s office and tell him to commit to being an advocate for sharks, for healthy oceans and for Florida, and support the Shark Fin Sales Elimination Act. You can email Rep. Webster or you can call his office at 202-225-1002. With 88 percent of Floridians in support of the bill, it’s clear that Rep. Webster has an opportunity to demonstrate his leadership and legacy by helping to advance this bill.
Florida Scuba Diving - Jupiter Drift Dive - GoPro Hero3 & Hero4
Scuba diving at Jupiter, Florida. This is my first drift dive and it was awesome experience. I'm sure it would be much better with great weather and video would have much nicer colors but I was lucky enough to get on the boat that day. Florida weather is unpredictable in the summer season and mostly it was rainy. I can't imagine how beautiful is out there when sun is shining. I used two GoPro's. Hero3 and Hero4 Back Editions with red filters and Switchblade2.0 GoPro Hero4 Macro lens by Polar Pro Filters.
I used Jupiter Dive Center for this trip and they did awesome job.

Snorkeling in Beautiful Jupiter Florida
While on a camping trip with my marine ecology class in Jupiter Florida we went snorkeling in a few beautiful clear water areas. Being the spot in which the gulf stream runs the closest to the mainland, this area is known for its very warm, clear water, and exotic wildlife that it has. We snorkeled on artificial rock piles in the surf, by jetties near Jupiter Inlet, by mangroves on the intercostal, and at the famous Blue Heron Bridge. We all saw all kinds of neat wildlife including but not limited too: Cushion starfish, giant hermit crabs, arrow crabs, sea urchins, sea hares and other nudibranchs, star corals, fire corals, hydrozoans, honeycomb worms, fire worms, medusa worms, molly miller blennies, hairy blennies, sea weed blennies, blue angelfish, french angelfish, lionfish, sergent majors, damselfish, tangs, surgeonfish, parrotfish, pufferfish, snappers, grunts, sheepshead, greenbacks, spanish hogfish, barracuda and more.

Jupiter Florida Diving Gopro
This is a compilation of several dives in Jupiter and Palm Beach Florida primarily from the weekend of December the 21st, 2014. The weather was phenomenal, blue skies with temperatures in the 70's and 80's, and sea swells only around a foot.
The charter for the 'Wet Temptations' boat was booked through Scuba Works Dive shop in Jupiter Florida. They were a great group to work with. A link to their website can be found here:

The Lemon shark footage was filmed during a separate dive on 'Emerald Charters'. This charter offers exceptional dives with sharks and pelagic species, optimal for experienced scuba divers. A link to their charters can be found here:

WTD #3. Snorkeling in Jupiter, Florida
We're happy to bring you the third entry in our journey across North America. This video centers around the Jupiter and Hobe Sound areas of FL. We got in a lot of beach time and some good snorkeling.
There were so many things to do here we didn't have time for it all. However, we did stay in Johnathan Dickinson state park for two weeks and will be releasing another video of the area next week.
We hope you all enjoy the video as much as we did shooting it all!
We would love if you followed along with us on our journey!

Diving & Snorkeling Devil's Den, Williston FL, What Time To Go, Prices, & More
We camped out at Devils Den Prehistoric Spring for 3 nights. The campground offers full hookup at a reasonable price. $26 a night got full hookups. Electrical included 30 & 50 Amp services, water, & sewer.
Camping at the park was the key to getting into the spring as early as possible. We headed up to the park at 8:45am and we were swimming at 9am sharp. It was a little difficult this early, as the water was very chilly, but it was worth it to be first and get all the best photographs before the mass rush of people show up.
