Above Water Manatee-Cam at Blue Spring State Park
This camera shows the lower/mid spring run at Blue Spring State Park where manatees congregate during the winter months when the river temperature in the adjacent St. John’s River drops below 68 degrees. The spring run is a constant 72 degrees year-round making it a vital warm-water sanctuary for manatees in the winter time and is completely closed-off to people. Any people seen in the footage are researchers with special permits. In addition to manatees, occasionally alligators, double-crested cormorants, anhingas, great blue herons, limpkins, egrets, turtles and a variety of fish can be seen.
and unedited. Enjoy the natural world as it unfolds in real time in front of our cameras. EXPLORE.org takes you from Kenya, Africa to the riverbanks of Katmai, Alaska and everywhere in between.

Our Story:
Our story is not one you hear about often. Kim grew up in a small town in Connecticut and always knew she had a desire to live at the beach.
However, becoming a young mother kept her close to family.
In 2013 she finally made her move to Sarasota, FL.
Greg grew up visiting his Grandparents on Lido Key as a baby through adulthood. He always dreamed of living by the beach it started with his love of surfing.
In 2011 he made his move to Sarasota, FL. On a chilly February day in 2014 our eyes met on Lido Beach. That day our story started and in 2016 we were married on Lido Beach.
Greg had been doing kayaking tours as a side thing. As soon as he took Kim out with him she knew right then and there they shared the same passion for the sea and all the wild life.
In 2017 Kayaking SRQ was born and we’ve been having a blast with all of our guests since. We invite you to take a tour with us and see for yourself why we do what we do.
Come and share in the fun with us...

Watch Out For The Alligators
We find freedom in nature. This particular park is called Deep Prairie Creek which is in North Port, Florida which is in Sarasota County on the Gulf Coast.
People come here to fish, kayak or just have a picnic. Just be careful if you are kayaking. There are LOTS of alligators so don't go swimming or let your pets or small children near the water without supervision.
Nature relaxes us and shows the beauty that this earth has to offer us.
