After restoration work, Delhi's Subz Burj to showcase rich Mughal-era glory
Subz Burj is richly ornamented with incised plasterwork, glazed ceramic tiles, wall paintings and decorative lattice stonework. The structure has suffered due to poor conservation in the past. The facade has been damaged, ornamentation has been lost, and there has been an impact of pollution too. The project started in November 2017 and is expected to be complete by December this year.

Musamman Burj was built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is said that at first a small marble palace built by Akbar was situated at this site, which was later demolished by Jehangir to erect new buildings. Shah Jahan in his turn chose this site to erect the multi-storied marble tower inlaid with precious stones for Mumtaz Mahal. It was built between 1631–40 and offers exotic views of the famous Taj Mahal.

MADE OF RED SANDSTONE AND MARBLE, QUTUB MINAR IS A 73-METRE (239 FEET) TALL TAPERING TOWER OF FIVE STOREYS, WITH A 14.3 METRE (47 FEET) BASE DIAMETER, REDUCING TO 2.7 METRES (9 FEET) AT THE PEAK. IT CONTAINS A SPIRAL STAIRCASE OF 379 STEPS.ITS DESIGN IS THOUGHT TO HAVE BEEN BASED ON THE MINARET OF JAM, IN WESTERN AFGHANISTAN.
QUTB UD-DIN-AIBAK, FOUNDER OF THE DELHI SULTANATE, STARTED CONSTRUCTION OF THE QUTUB MINAR'S FIRST STOREY AROUND 1192. IN 1220, AIBAK'S SUCCESSOR AND SON-IN-LAW ILTUTMISH COMPLETED A FURTHER THREE STOREYS. IN 1369, A LIGHTNING STRIKE DESTROYED THE TOP STOREY. FIROZ SHAH TUGHLAQ REPLACED THE DAMAGED STOREY, AND ADDED ONE MORE.
ACCIDENT
BEFORE 1974, THE GENERAL PUBLIC WAS ALLOWED ACCESS TO THE TOP OF THE MINAR, VIA THE INTERNAL STAIRCASE. ON 4 DECEMBER 1981, THE STAIRCASE LIGHTING FAILED. BETWEEN 300 AND 400 VISITORS STAMPEDED TOWARDS THE EXIT, AND 45 WERE KILLED IN THE CRUSH AND SOME WERE INJURED. MOST OF THESE WERE CHILDREN. SUBSEQUENTLY, PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE INSIDE OF THE TOWER HAS BEEN STOPPED.

The LED show was on at 6:15pm, 7:15pm and 8:15pm on Wednesday and Thursday, with The Dubai Fountain performance

Red Fort is also known as Lal Qila and located in the centre of the city. It is the masterpiece of the historical architecture and one of the attractive spots for tourists many countries. In order to make it as usual and save it as a historical asset of the country, it is maintained time to time by the Indian government. It was built by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in the year 1648 in the 17th century at the bank of the Yamuna River. It is situated in the New Delhi near to the Salimgarh Fort. On the Independence Day of India, prime minister unfurls the national flag here. Red Fort contains many beautiful structures within it (like Rang Mahal or Palace of Colours, Mumtaz Mahal, Khas Mahal, hammam, Shah Burj, Diwan-e-Khas, Diwan-i-Khas, Nahar-e-Bishisht (Canal of Paradise), etc). It is built using the red stones and designed by the highly skilled and professional architectures. On the first floor, there is a War Memorial Museum is housed.
Sheesh Mahal (means Sheesh-mirrors and mahal-palace) is situated in the northern and southern sections. There is a well designed Khas Mahal (Emperor’s Palace) as a special room for private purposes like worship or sleeping. A nice balcony in designed using the white marbles projecting towards the banks of Yamuna River. There is a well designed Peacock Throne. The text “if there is a paradise on earth, it is this, it is this, and it is this” is engraved on the walls of it. There is a Shah Burj is designed in the palace for the emperor’s private conclaves and relax in privacy. A Moti Masjid also called Pearl mosque which was added in the palace by the emperor Aurangzeb. It contains three domes and looks very elegance. North to the Moti Masjid, there is a Hayat Baksh means a Mughal garden which was built by the Shahjahan.
There is a Royal Tower of Shah Burj where lively gatherings and feasts was held. Red Fort of Delhi is considered as the greatest of Mughal Palaces and known as the heart of Shah Jahan’s empire. Red Fort has become a grand and attractive place for the tourists from the India as well as abroad and serving the country for many years. Last year I went to the Red Fort with my parents where I enjoyed a lot and got lots of knowledge about the fort including its history.

I had a pleasure to go and see one of the most modern tallest Minar in India Burj Fateh which stands 100 meter tall it signifies the contribution of Sikhs and establishment of Sikhism in India, a must visit place along with family although it is taller than Kutub Minar in Delhi it is not as old as Kutub Minar and is build in 2011.
Burj Fateh is near Mohali ( SAS NAGAR) and is easily accessible by road , situated in Landra Village in Punjab India. It is made to denote Sikhs victory over Mughal's in the year 1716 . do visit it once.

Musamman Burj also known as the Saman Burj or the Shah-burj, is an octagonal tower standing close to the Shah Jahan's private hall Diwan-e-Khas in Agra Fort.
Musamman Burj was built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is said that at first a small marble palace built by Akbar was situated at this site, which was later demolished by Jehangir to erect new buildings. Shah Jahan in his turn chose this site to erect the multi-storied marble tower inlaid with precious stones for Mumtaz Mahal. It was built between 1631–40 and offers exotic views of the famous Taj Mahal.
The Musamman Burj is made of delicate marble lattices with ornamental niches so that the ladies of the court could gaze out unseen. The decoration of the walls is pietra dura. The chamber has a marble dome on top and is surrounded by a verandah with a beautiful carved fountain in the center.
The tower looks out over the River Yamuna and is traditionally considered to have one of the most poignant views of the Taj Mahal. It is here that Shah Jahan along with his favorite daughter Jahanara Begum had spent his last few years as a captive of his son Aurangzeb. He lay here on his death bed while gazing at the Taj Mahal in Agra.
