● Silicon Valley - Silicon Valley is a region in the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California that serves as a global center for high technology, innovation, and social media.
● Golden Gate Bridge - The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
● Transamerica Pyramid -- It is a 48-story futurist building and the second-tallest skyscraper in the San Francisco skyline. It was the tallest building in San Francisco from its inception in 1972 until 2018 when Salesforce Tower surpassed its height.
● The San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge, known locally as the Bay Bridge, is a complex of bridges spanning San Francisco Bay in California. As part of Interstate 80 and the direct road between San Francisco and Oakland, it carries about 260,000 vehicles a day on its two decks.
● Palace of Fine Arts - It is a monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition to exhibit works of art. It remains a popular attraction for tourists and locals and is a favorite location for weddings and such an icon that a miniature replica of it was built in Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim.
● Oracle Park - It is a baseball park located in South Beach. Since 2000, it has served as the home of the San Francisco Giants, the city's Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise. The park stands along the San Francisco Bay.
● Pier 39 - Pier 39 is a shopping center and popular tourist attraction built on a pier in San Francisco. At Pier 39, there are shops, restaurants, a video arcade, street performances, the Aquarium of the Bay, and views of California sea lions hauled out on docks on Pier 39's marina.
● Alcatraz Island - Alcatraz Island is located in San Francisco Bay, 1.25 miles (2.01 km) offshore from San Francisco. The small island was developed with facilities for a lighthouse, a military fortification, a military prison, and a federal prison from 1934 until 1963. In 1972, Alcatraz became part of a national recreation area and received designation as a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
● Fisherman's Wharf - It is a neighborhood and popular tourist attraction in San Francisco. It roughly encompasses the northern waterfront area of San Francisco from Ghirardelli Square or Van Ness Avenue east to Pier 35 or Kearny Street.
● Lombard Street - Lombard Street is an east-west street in San Francisco that is famous for a steep, one-block section with eight hairpin turns. The famous one-block section, claimed to be the most crooked street in the world, is located along the eastern segment in the Russian Hill. It is a significant tourist attraction, receiving around two million visitors per year.
● Coit Tower - It is a 210-foot (64 m) tower in the Telegraph Hill, offering panoramic views over the city and the bay. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
● Alamo Square - It is a residential neighborhood and park. It consists of four city blocks at the top of a hill overlooking much of downtown San Francisco, with many large and architecturally distinctive mansions along the perimeter, including the Painted Ladies, a popular postcard motif.
● Pigeon Point Lighthouse - It is a lighthouse built in 1871 to guide ships on the Pacific coast of California. It is the tallest lighthouse on the West Coast of the United States. The lighthouse is designated as a California Historical Landmark.
● Castro District - It is a neighborhood in Eureka Valley. The Castro is one of the most prominent symbols of LGBT activism and events in the world.
● San Francisco cable car - It is the world's last manually operated cable car system. The cable cars are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Amtrak California Zephyr: Chicago to San Francisco 1st Class
Cross country from Chicago to San Francisco on Amtrak's California Zephyr. Roughly following much of the original transcontinental route through the Rocky Mountains, Moffat Tunnel, and Sierra Nevada's, the scenery is stunning throughout this relaxing journey. Good close views of locomotives and trains along the way,, especially in Grand Junction. Quick hop off stops at Denver (2:15), Fraser CO (5:40) and Grand Junction CO (17:20). See wild Mustangs on the approach to Reno at (18:35). Pass the Eastbound Zephyr at 10:55. Nice scenery through the Rockies from about 2:45 to 12:55.
This video is not intended to be a review of accommodations, meals, or amenities. It's simply highlights of the journey as seen out my bedroom window traveling in a full bedroom sleeper car, which is considered 1st class. You get great views out both sides of the train with the full bedroom, one big window in your room, and with the door open, you get the view out the windows in the hallway. In the smaller roomette you only get the view out of your room, because there is another roomette on the other side of the hallway. Big difference. If you want privacy, and the best views, you need the full bedroom.
Enjoy!

SNEAKER SHOPPING IN SAN FRANCISCO | VLOG #26
Check out our LAST VIDEO HERE:
Thank you to Almanac Brand for sponsoring our trip and bringing us out here. Check out their dope gear at
DNA show takes on another trip, this time around we’re stomping the street of San Francisco on our way to SneakerCon in Santa Clara, CA. PDX to SFO wasn’t as smooth as we expected, we ran into a little trouble with TSA but made it to our destination in time! First stop was food! Los Hermanos is a locals favorite in the North Beach area and we couldn’t call it a complete trip without having their Super Chicken burrito - for the whole squad! Pacific Heights provided us a dope background cruising through the city on our way to Nice Kicks sneaker store on Haight strip. Redwood Sneakers was our next destination, a consignment shop that just recently hit the scene and provided a consignment shop vibe. UNDFTD selection is always nice and bubble tea at Bobba Guys was great for some. Rif San Francisco is always a must for the squad! That’s just day one, stay tuned for raw and behind the scene footage of SneakerCon Bay Area 2018!

Small edit of ride through some san Francisco street. Just trying to make it look surreal just like what we felt when we rode through this beautiful bike friendly city for the first time. Not much good riding in the city but still fun to put put around
Monterey and San Francisco - Two Coastal Beauties | Full-time RV Family | Five 2 Go Ep. 41
With the truck in the shop, we took advantage of the smaller rental car and drove into two beautiful cities: Monterey and San Francisco, California. We explored Lover's Point in Monterey and then drove down the coast taking in the amazing, rocky coastline and all of the wildlife as we went. A couple days later we drove into San Francisco for two nights and put on our tourist hats. On the drive in we checked out the incredible Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands north of the bay. After making it back down into the city we got settled in our hostel and took in a gorgeous rooftop sunset!
The next day we went down to the waterfront to explore the aquarium, ride on a tour boat, and (of course) hop on a cable car. The icing on the cake for us though was our first date night in more than 4 months!

10 Top Tourist Attractions in San Francisco - Travel Video
San Francisco, everyone’s favorite city, is located at the tip of a peninsula between the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific coast. A compact city of steep rolling hills surrounded on three sides by water, San Francisco is renowned for its summer fogs, Victorian architecture, cable cars and beautiful vistas. Just remember: Don’t call it Frisco and do bring warm clothing. The famous quote “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco” isn’t from Mark Twain but it is a pretty accurate statement of San Francisco’s weather. An overview of the top tourist attractions in San Francisco.
Amazing USA West Coast Road Trip: San Francisco, Yosemite, Vegas, Grand Canyon, LA, Big Sur & more!
Amazing United States West Coast Road Trip! (4k)
4 States and 4 National Parks (Yosemite NP, Sequoia NP, Death Valley NP & Grand Canyon NP), 16 days, 2500 miles / 4000 km.
0:33 San Francisco, California
Our first hotel was The Hyatt Centric Fisherman’s Wharf. After checking in we explored the surroundings by visiting Pier 39 and Lombard Street. The next we visited Alcatrez Island, so we get on one of the Alcatrez Cruises boats. Alcatrez Island is one of the world’s most legendary prisons. When we returned from the Island we rented bikes at Blazing Saddles Bike Rentals. A tough bike ride over the Golden Gate Bridge! Next morning, it was time to pick up our rental car at Sixt Fishermans Warf, an Cadillac Escalade!
1:31 Yosemite National Park, California
We headed towards Yosemite National Park. First dropoff our suitcases at the Yosemite Westgate Lodge. After that we did a hike at the Tuolumne Grove Trailhead! Next day we drove to the heart of Yosemite NP, Yosemite Valley. We did some hikes in 1 of the most overwhelming sceneries ever seen. The forest, big trees, waterfalls and rivers where amazing. Especially the Yosemite Falls, with the Upper Falls and the Lower Falls where beautiful. We did an hike at “Mirror trail” with beautiful Mirror lake and the last visit of the day was Tunnel View.
2:37 Sequoia National Park, California
Next morning we drove to Sequoia National Park, parked the car at Three Rivers Comfort Inn. From there we took a shuttle bus to get into the Sequoia Park it self. Never seen such enormous trees, these huge Sequoia’s are extreemly large and old. The largest tree in the world, “The General Sherman Tree”, was the highlight of the day!
3:11 Death Valley National Park, California
The following day we visited Death Valley National Park, one of the hottest places in the world. When we arrived at our hotel, Stovepipe Wells Village Hotel, the temperature was 123 F / 50,5 C. Visiting Death Valley can’t without a visit at Sand Dunes and Badwater Basin.
3:39 Las Vegas, Nevada
The next city of our West America roadtrip was Las Vegas. We stayed at the luxurious Bellagio Hotel and Casino and had a room with view of the fontains! Walking over The Strip was really a great experience. After a short visit to Fremont Street Experience, we headed up to Machine Gun experience with it’s shooting range. We choose the “Spec Ops” package and could try out an Glock 17 9MM Pistol, M4 Machine Gun, AK47 ‘Kalashnikov’ Machine Gun and a Gauge Pump Shotgun!
In the evening we went to Hans Klok “The world’s fastest” magician at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino. What an amazing show!
6:08 Page, Arizona
Driving from Nevada through Utah to Arizona we arrived in Page. First visit was Glen Canyon dam, then Horseshoe Bend! In the afternoon Antelope Canyon Tours brought us to the colorful Antelope Canyon. After a night at Best Western View of Lake Powell Hotel we had a helicopter flight (Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters) over Horse Shoe Bend, Glen Canyon dam, Lake Powell, Colorado river, Antelope Canyon and a landing on Tower Butte with an amazing overview of Lake Powell!
5:41 Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
We continued our way to Grand Canyon National Park, visiting a view vista points, such as Desert view watch tower, Navajo point, Lipan point and Moran point.
7:31 Meteor Crater Winslow, Arizona
We brought a short visit at Meteor Crater in Winsow. The world's best preserved meteorite impact site on Earth!
7:56 Route 66, Williams, Arizona
Our next hotel (Comfort Inn Near Grand Canyon) was on the historic route 66 in Williams, Arizona. A small touristic city, which was still worth a visit.
8:28 Los Angeles, California
Our last city, Los Angeles! Stay at Ocean view Hotel, with view on the Santa Monica Pier. First visit was Santa Monica Pier + Venice Beach with The Venice Ocean Front Walk, Muscle Beach and Skate Park. Next day we have visited Hollywood with Hollywood Sign, Rodeo Drive and Walk of fame! Our last day in LA was a full day in Disneyland Park & Disney California Adventure Park. The best attractions of the day where Incredicoaster, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Grizzly River Run and Splash Mountain.
11:09 Big Sur, Highway 1, California
The last day of our West Coast Road trip was a full driving day at Highway 1, through Big Sur to San Francisco, with very nice Vista points like Big Creek Bridge and Elephant Seal Vista Point.
What an amazing roadtrip!

Narrated sightseeing drive, 52 blocks of San Francisco
You are visiting from out of town, we hop in the car, wander around and see some sights (some touristy, some not). We'll follow Mississippi Street to 7th Street to Leavenworth Street, passing through the neighborhoods of Potrero Hill, Mission Bay, SoMa, Civic Center, Tenderloin, Nob Hill, Russian Hill, and Fisherman's Wharf. About 52 blocks in all, give or take, depending upon what you consider a block. Occasionally we'll teleport out of the car and take some side trips.
This started out as a regular drivelapse but somehow along the way morphed into a full driving tour, kind of a drivelapse-travelogue hybrid. Two cameras on board, plus GPS, and a chatty driver.
I'd be interested in any feedback on the closed captions, if you used them. It is maddeningly difficult to do anything remotely sophisticated with closed captions on YouTube because their closed caption implementation has tons of bugs and doesn't interpret most industry-standard captions correctly.

San Francisco to Sacramento via I-80 smoky drive-lapse (Oct 2017)
Much of what may look like fog is actually smoke from the Northern California wildfires of 2017. That smoke blanketed much of the San Francisco Bay Area for weeks around the time this video was recorded, resulting in quite bad air quality, very noticeable in this video, which was recorded on October 11, 2017. This is a variable-speed, instrumented drive-lapse / time-lapse of the drive along Interstate 80, entering from 8th Street in San Francisco and driving eastbound to northern Sacramento.
Like most San Francisco residents, we have no air conditioning or other filtration, so we finally decided we just had to get out of town, and this drive-lapse to Sacramento is the first leg of our escape from the smoke. (You won't see any actual fires in this video, just lots of smoke.) Videos of later legs of this trip will be coming sometime in the future.
My thoughts and condolences go to those actually in the wildfire areas. All we had to deal with was bad, smoky air. Nothing compared to what they had to deal with.
Distance travelled was 84.9 miles (136.6 kilometers), and the duration was 1 hour, 25 minutes (condensed down into about 11 minutes in this video). Music licensed from AudioMicro.com. Google maps used in accordance with the terms of service for an online video.
Here's an index into some key points within the video:
00:49 Crossing the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge (lower deck)
01:53 Arriving in the East Bay
04:32 Passing by the Phillips 66 Rodeo San Francisco Oil Refinery
05:04 Carquinez Bridge / Al Zampa Memorial Bridge
06:34 Traversing the hills where the smoke was particularly visible (I think these might be the Vaca Mountain foothills, but I'm not really sure)
06:55 Oops
07:58 Finally breaking out of the smoky air after 50 miles of driving
09:34 One of things I learned doing this drive-lapse is that there actually is a Swingle, California
09:41 Yolo Causeway
09:53 Transitioning to the I-80 bypass north around Sacramento

The Best Bus Tours in San Francisco
This video compares the different San Francisco bus tour, from hop-on, hop-off to themed bus tours to help you choose which is the best for you.
Bus tours will allow you to see far more sights than you could ever see in a day if you were walking from place to place, and they make a great companion to our pay-what-you-like walking tours. In addition, you typically get some interesting narration (in the language of your choice) as you travel throughout the city.

San Francisco Time Lapse Video - Beautiful Time Lapse Video of San Francisco (USA)
San Francisco Time Lapse Video - Beautiful Time Lapse Video of San Francisco (USA)
San Francisco, officially the City and County of San Francisco, is the cultural, commercial and financial center of Northern California.
The only consolidated city-county in California, San Francisco encompasses a land area of about 46.9 square miles (121 km2) on the northern end of the San Francisco Peninsula, giving it a density of about 17,867 people per square mile (6,898 people per km2). It is the most densely settled large city (population greater than 200,000) in the state of California and the second-most densely populated major city in the United States after New York City. San Francisco is the fourth-most populous city in California, after Los Angeles, San Diego and San Jose, and the 14th-most populous city in the United States—with a Census-estimated 2013 population of 837,442. The city and its surroundings are known as the San Francisco Bay Area, part of the San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland combined statistical area, with an estimated population of 8.5 million.
The historic center of San Francisco is the northeast quadrant of the city anchored by Market Street and the waterfront. It is here that the Financial District is centered, with Union Square, the principal shopping and hotel district, nearby. Cable cars carry riders up steep inclines to the summit of Nob Hill, once the home of the city's business tycoons, and down to the waterfront tourist attractions of Fisherman's Wharf, and Pier 39, where many restaurants feature Dungeness crab from a still-active fishing industry. Also in this quadrant are Russian Hill, a residential neighborhood with the famously crooked Lombard Street; North Beach, the city's Little Italy and the former center of the Beat Generation; and Telegraph Hill, which features Coit Tower. Between Russian Hill and North Beach is San Francisco's Chinatown, the oldest Chinatown in North America. The South of Market, which was once San Francisco's industrial core, has seen significant redevelopment following the addition of AT&T Park and an infusion of startup companies. New skyscrapers, live-work lofts, and condominiums dot the area. Further development is taking place just to the south in Mission Bay, a former railyard now anchored by a second campus of the University of California, San Francisco.

CA Zephyr tour, Truckee to San Francisco via Amtrak rail (includes trainlapse videos)
A tour of the Amtrak California Zephyr as it travels from Truckee (North Lake Tahoe) to San Francisco in late November, 2012. Video inside and outside of the train, including time lapse of the entire trip from multiple angles with instrumentation (speed, elevation, heading, etc). Probably best watched in full screen mode.
Now with Closed Captions. I'd be curious to hear from anyone who uses the Closed Captions, as to how well they worked for you, anything I could improve, etc. I am somewhat hampered by YouTube's Closed Captioning, which is somewhat buggy -- it often doesn't display italics when I've told it to, and I can't control the positioning.
How to Travel On a Budget: San Francisco & Napa Valley
Like & Subscribe for More ????????
???????? Hi, I'm Jonesie! Come with me to San Francisco and Napa Valley! My best friend and I booked a relaxing weekend getaway to Napa through Expedia, which has amazing travel deals when you book your flight and hotel together.
We are both on a budget, so we decided to rent a car at the San Francisco Airport, as opposed to paying shuttle fees, which, over the course of the weekend amounted to over $200 just to get back and forth from the airport.
Napa Valley is about an hour or so drive out from San Francisco, and since we were able to rent a car (total cost for the weekend $120) we were able to spend our first day in San Francisco and visit Fisherman's Wharf.
When we arrived at our hotel in Napa, we were greeted by all hotel staff, and given a concierge for the weekend. The concierge is included and is mainly a go-to for reservations, activities, and transportation arrangements. Our concierge made a dinner reservation at an amazing Italian restaurant for the weekend, and recommended a few wineries we should visit, based on our tastes.
Our hotel room at the Vino Bello Resort, had a washer/dryer in our room, a kitchen, free water, and a bottle of wine. They also have a shuttle which runs every 90min that will take you and your guests back and forth to downtown Napa, which is only about 5mi away from the hotel.
Instead of using money to pay for wine tasting tours, we used the map, and suggestions from our concierge to visit the wineries of our choice. When you book a set wine tour, you cannot pick and choose the wineries you will stop at, or the amount of time there, but don't let that discourage you. We saw many wine tour groups along our route, and they looked like they were having fun!
Travel Tips:
1) Use your hotel concierge for coupons, reservations, and your travel plans while in town.
2) Eat a large breakfast and graze for lunch, that way you can splurge on dinner.
3) Buy snacks like granola, fruit, water and nuts to keep in your hotel room, so you don't spend money on room service. Those prices are insane...a $30 hamburger, not unless it's attached to Idris Elba!
4) Pack lightly and bring one pair of: pants, flats, and heels in neutral colors. Bring sneakers, and a fancier outfit for dinner, also in neutral colors so you can pair it with anything.
5) Try new things: food, adventures, bars, and make friends with the locals, they will take care of you.
6) Don't go overboard w/gifts for your loved ones. You don't want to have to pay fees at the airport for checking a bag do you? Either buy everything you want and ship it ahead of you, or only buy small accessories as gifts.
7) Set a limit for yourself financially. Bring the amount of cash you know you can spend, and don't go over that limit. Choose wisely.
8) Share your meals. Ordering a few appetizers instead of two oversized plates, can really save your wallet and waistline in the long run.
9) Choose your travel partner wisely. If you are very adventurous, don't pick your friend who never wants to try anything new. Otherwise, you'll both end up mad you're stuck with each other, and your friendship is over.
10) Relax, but don't waste your days. Use this time to meditate, write, explore, or go crazy, but don't just spend all your time watching movies in your room. And put your damn phone away (unless you look really fly and have to take that selfie!)
