Ho Chi Minh City Airport - Arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Vietnam - Airport info
Arriving at Ho Chi Minh City Airport called Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN). If this is your first visit to the Ho Chi Minh City Airport (Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport) you should find this video helpful for getting an idea of the airport procedures when you arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Vietnam.
This Ho Chi Minh City Airport footage is filmed from the disembarkation of our flight, through the walk to Immigration / Passport Control (Vietnam Visa clearance etc. is not included in the footage as filming is not allowed in this part of Tan Son Nhat International Airport - quite normal at all airports in the world), from Immigration to the Baggage Claim Area (in the Baggage Claim Area of this airport we explain how to find out from which baggage belt you flights luggage will be offloaded on), after we receive our luggage we proceed towards the airport customs area. There is not an area of Something to declare Nothing to Declare like most other international arrivals customs areas at airports. At Ho Chi Minh City Airport all passengers instead have to run all their luggage through another security scanner from where airport customs officials van see what the luggage contains. After clearing customs we reach Ho Chi Minh City Airports main arrival area. From this area we recommend travelers to use the money exchange desks, Telephone card desks (SIM Cards) and taxi services, airport shuttle services and limousines or get information about Airport buses to Ho Chi Minh City. We advice that you shop around for the best exchange rate as exchange rates are negotiable and there can be a large difference in pricing. We also ordered a taxi to Ho Chi Minh City from the airport. The taxi service from the airport was a fixed price of 200 000 Vietnamese Dong which is a fair price although the taxi trip from Ho Chi Minh Airport to the city would probably have been cheaper by taxi meter (we did not want to take that chance as this was our first visit to Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Ho Chi Minh City and we had been warned that some taxi company taxi meters could not be trusted. The video footage from this airport ends with us walking out of the Airport and finding the taxi that will drive us into Ho Chi Minh City.

Wiki writes about Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport, Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport (Vietnamese: Sân bay quốc tế Tân Sơn Nhất, Vietnamese: Cảng hàng không quốc tế Tân Sơn Nhất) is the busiest airport in Vietnam with more than 23 million passenger movements per year. As of November 2016, it had a total capacity of only 20 million passengers, which has caused constant congestion and sparked debate for expanding or building a new airport. It was also among the top 50 busiest airports in the world in terms of passengers handled in 2015, serving Ho Chi Minh City as well as the rest of southeastern Vietnam. Its IATA code, SGN, is derived from the city's former name of Saigon. The airport is expected to handle 32 million passengers in 2016...
This footage is filmed inside and outside of Ho Chi Minh City Airport (SGN) called Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport). Ho Chi Minh City is located in Vietnam.

Pham Ngu Lao nightlife is also one of Ho Chi Minh’s finest, with throngs of street vendors, bia hoi stalls, lively bars, and downtown clubs filling up the lively scene. Interesting nightlife entertainment spots include The View Rooftop Bar, Seventeen Saloon, Go 2 and Crazy Buffalo Nightclub as well as many smaller pubs that are known for their cheap drinks and happy hour promos. It’s also common around here to meet friendly expats who are more than happy to share a few tips about travelling in and beyond Vietnam. If you want to immerse yourself in the local culture, we highly suggest getting up early and visit the parks within the area. It is interesting to see (and even to join in on) the elders participating in Tai Chi-like exercise sessions. Another must-do is heading to the morning markets such as Ben Tanh Market, where local vendors sell a wide array of fresh produce, household supplies, and Vietnamese street food at attractive prices. As Pham Ngu Lao is not such a large area, it’s the perfect place to explore on foot - the best time to do this is in the morning and late afternoon as the weather can be rather scorching at the height of the day. If you’re feeling adventurous, there are also travel agencies that can help arrange for day trips within the city centre and beyond.

23 Things To Do In Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) Vietnam

►FREE eBook:
When I was in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), along with eating as much Vietnamese food as I could, one of my goals was to film a travel video about some of the best things to do in Saigon. After putting together a complete list, it turned out to be 23, and I hope this list of attractions will help and inspire you to visit Vietnam’s largest and most exciting city.
1. Binh Tay Market - Binh Tay Market is one of the largest wholesale distribution markets, and a perfect place to go if you’re looking to go shopping in Ho Chi Minh City.
2. Thien Hau Temple (Pagoda) - Located in Chinatown, in District 5, the temple is dedicated to Thien Hau and I really loved the sculptures and the elaborate design of the temple.
3. Museum of Ho Chi Minh City - This museum offers a glimpse into the history and development of the city and Vietnam.
4. Bitexco Financial Tower - This is the tallest building in Saigon, and you can either go to the Skydeck or a cafe at the top for a view of the city.
5. Independence Palace (Reunification Palace) - Probably one of the most well known tourism things to do in Saigon is to visit the Independence Palace, the the former home of the president of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
6. Saigon Cathedral of Notre Dame - With the French influence in Vietnam, the Notre Dame cathedral is a beautiful Catholic church. Attend a service or just visit.
7. Central Post Office - Designed by Gustave Eiffel, the Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh City is an attraction mainly for its design and architecture. It’s a beautiful building.
8. War Remnants Museum - Although this is not one of the happiest attractions in Saigon, it’s a place to remember and honor the horrible events that are a result of a war.
9. Opera House - Right in Dong Khoi area, and there are still opera shows available.
10. Dong Khoi Street - This is the height of high end shopping in Saigon.
11. Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens - The zoo itself is not too great, but the beauty of the Saigon zoo is the botanical gardens, and the lush gardens, and taking a break from the city.
12. FITO Museum (Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine) - I was quite impressed by the Vietnamese medicine private museum - very interactive and educational.
13. San Art Laboratory – If you love modern art, the San Art Laboratory is a great place to see and visit in Saigon.
14. Turtle Lake at Night - If you’re looking for some things to do at night in Saigon, head to Turtle Lake to chill out, relax, hang out with friends, and eat snacks.
15. Ben Thanh Market - One of the most famous things to do in Saigon District 1 is visit the Ben Thanh Market, one of the major central landmarks of the city.
16. Phu My Hung and Starlight Bridge - Located outside of central Ho Chi Minh City, Phu My Hung is a modern development, and a great place to walk around.
17. Water Puppet Show - Though originally from the north of Vietnam, water puppet shows are popular also in Saigon. I went to the Golden Dragon Water Puppet theater.
18. Museum of Vietnamese History - Probably one of the most extensive and important museum showing the history of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City.
19. Rooftop Bar - Seeing Saigon from above offers a great perspective.
20. Fine Arts Museum - This was my favorite of all the museums in Saigon. The museum is housed in a well preserved building, and the art is amazing - located right in District 1 across the roundabout from Ben Thanh Market.
21. Jade Emperor Pagoda - Dedicated to the Jade Emperor, the pagoda has a real ancient feel to it, and it’s worth seeing when you visit.
22. Local Wet Market - One of my favorite things to do is visit a local fresh wet market, which you’ll find all over the city. The ingredients, food, and culture, all stand out at fresh markets.
23. Vietnamese Street Food - By my ultimate favorite activity in Saigon is eating street food, and there are an abundance of delicious Vietnamese street foods to sample.
Thank you for watching this video about the top 23 things to do in Saigon, Vietnam. I hope it has given you some great ideas to help you plan your visit.

Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) and surroundings Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh City, formerly named Saigon, is the largest city in Vietnam. The metropolitan area, which consists of the Ho Chi Minh City metropolitan area, Thu Dau Mot, Di An, Bien Hoa and surrounding towns, is populated by more than 9,000,000 people, making it the most populous metropolitan area in Vietnam. The city's population is expected to grow to 13.9 million in 2025.
Under the name Saigon, it was the capital of the French colony of Cochin-china and later of the independent republic of South Vietnam from 1955--75. South Vietnam, as an anti-communist, capitalist republic, fought against the communist North Vietnamese and Viet Cong during the Vietnam War, with aid from the United States and countries including Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. Saigon fell when it was captured by the communists on 30 April 1975, ending the war with a Communist victory.
When you visit the city then the first thing that is remarkable is the transport by motorbikes and scooters. There are approximated 340,000 cars and 3.5 million motorcycles in the city. You have problems by crossing the streets.
Today, the city's core is still adorned with wide elegant boulevards and historic French colonial buildings. The city has various museums, such as the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, Museum of Vietnamese History, the Revolutionary Museum, the Museum of Southeastern Armed Forces, the War Remnants Museum, the Museum of Southern Women, the Museum of Fine Art, the Nha Rong Memorial House.
In the presentation you get an impression of the city. We also took part in a prayer service in a church of the Cao Dai Religion, a very traditional synthese of world-religions.

We Joined Mekong Delta Tour - Is It Beautiful ? ????????
This video is about the full-day experience we had in Vietnamese villages along the river, the day trip we had is not so far from Saigon ( Ho Chi Minh City ) and we think this is definitely what you should not miss while traveling to Vietnam.

▶︎ Why did we decide to take the Mekong Delta tour? ????????
Ho Chi Minh City is a major destination in Vietnam and we decided to explore this city deeply by moving in for a month. However, we also want to have more authentic look at local culture. A day trip from Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta is what we think can be a fantastic way to get to know a more rural side to Vietnam, from local bee farms to traditional fishing villages
▶︎ More About Mekong Delta :
The Mekong Delta (Vietnamese: Đồng bằng Sông Cửu Long, Nine Dragon river delta or simply Vietnamese: Đồng Bằng Sông Mê Kông, Mekong river delta), also known as the Western Region or the South-western region is the region in southwestern Vietnam where the Mekong River approaches and empties into the sea through a network of distributaries. The Mekong delta region encompasses a large portion of southwestern Vietnam. The size of the area covered by water depends on the season.
The Mekong Delta has been dubbed as a biological treasure trove. Over 1,000 animal species were recorded between 1997 and 2007 and new species of plants, fish, lizards, and mammals have been discovered in previously unexplored areas, including the Laotian rock rat, thought to be extinct.

Always rejoice (in a bus in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam)
Always rejoice with the saints in Vietnam
During the church trip in Vietnam.
Sorry for the bad sound and movie quality, but we have enjoyed a lot! :)
Lyrics
Always rejoice,
Unceasingly pray,
In everything give thanks.
(repeat)
2
For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus,
The will of God in Christ for you.
Therefore always rejoice, unceasingly pray,
In everything give thanks.
3
Do not quench the Spirit,
Do not despise prophecies,
Approve all things,
Hold fast to what is good,
Abstain from every kind of evil.

VIETNAM TRAVEL TIPS | HOW TO SAVE MONEY WHEN TRAVELING HANOI
Hanoi, Vietnam is a beautiful and fascinating country, and despite it’s surge in popularity as a tourist destination in recent years it can still be seen on a budget. Here are some travel tips for ways to save money when traveling Hanoi.
1. Getting a SIM card at the airport
There are endless places to get your SIM card but like we said, we highly recommend you to buy your SIM card at the airport.
We recommended choice is Viettel as they have the largest coverage network in Vietnam.
Price: around 200,000 - 250,000 VND (9-10$US) for unlimited data including the SIM card.
2. Getting to Hanoi from the airport
- BUS number 86: The bus is the cheapest way to get to Hanoi from the airport, but also the most crowded and the one that takes the most time.
Fare: VND30,000/ person.
- Taxi:To save the cost, we recommend that you should download the GRAB application and registration with the phone number that you bought. This will help you move very conveniently from the airport or in the city without worrying about the price.
Airport transfer service
If you want to save time, the airport transfer service will be a good choice.
Goasiadaytrip tourism company is quite famous for this service not only for airport shuttle in Vietnam but also for all countries in Southeast Asia.
You can learn more about the service here:
3. Using Hop On- Hop Off Bus

From Da Nang to Hoi An by Car - Vietnam 4K Travel Channel
The fastest and most comfortable connection from Da Nang to Hoi An is by taxi. The ride for the about 30 km costs approx. € 20.
Da Nang is the third largest city in Vietnam and gained importance through its natural harbor. In former times, Da Nang belonged to the ancient kingdom of Champa. On the orders of Napoleon III, French troops landed here.
In the Vietnam war 1965, the first U.S. fighting forces went ashore at the China Beach. Later Da Nang was the northernmost airbase of the Americans and therefore of enormous strategic importance. During the war, the China Beach also served as a recreational beach for the fighters.
From 1967 - 1972, the German hospital ship Helgoland anchored in Da Nang, providing humanitarian aid to civilian victims on behalf of the German Red Cross and Maltese emergency service.
After a wonderful journey across the Ocean Clouds Pass by train, we are now at the main station in Da Nang and take a taxi to Hoi An.
The driver purposefully drives through the street canyons to the Nguyen Van Linh, which leads directly to the Dragon Bridge (Cau Rong), that crosses the Song Han Bay.
The Song Han is a tributary of the Bay of Danang and leads straight from the docks through the city. The Song Han runs south to the Song Thu Bon, which in turn leads through Hoi An to the sea.
From the Dragon Bridge, the road continues directly to China Beach. The fantastic sandy beach stretches as far as Hoi An. We drive past elegant beach sections, where we would have liked to jump into the water.

please read more:
