Portugal Trip 2016/2017 - (Part 1) Lisbon & Sintra
This is the Part 1 of our trip to Portugal in December 2016- January 2017. We started from Lisbon and went up to Port. In between We stayed in Coimbra and Aveiro. And also had a Day trip in Sintra. After New Year we rented a car and started our South-West Coast Road trip.
I divided the trip video in different parts. The first part is Lisbon and Sintra trip.
Lisbon is an amazing city. You can literally feel the vibration of culture and welcoming people here. The oldest part of the city is Alfama. While walking through this part you will feel Portugal lifestyle, People and the smell of food. When it comes to food, there is no word to describe the tastiness and freshness of the food. We have been eating almost whole time in our journey. Specially Pastel de Nata ( Portuguese Custard). And Fish.. So many different kind of fish. You can get it fresh and cooked in the restaurants by the old owners. And notable thing is the food is unbelievably cheap. Specially in the old part of Lisbon and outside of Lisbon.
Portuguese people are amazing. We met some couchsurfers. And we had the most amazing couchsurfing experience. They made us part of their family. We were invited to Christmas and spent New Year with them. More description will be coming up in the next parts of the trip.

Cascais, Portugal May 2017
Cascais is a delightful Portuguese fishing town that is situated on the western edge of the beautiful Lisbon coastline, and is the region’s most popular holiday destination. Historically the town was a favourite with the Portuguese nobility, and today the town is an elegant blend of grand 19th century architecture, traditional Portuguese charm and outstanding tourist facilities.
These factors combine not just to make a great holiday destination but also an enjoyable day trip from Lisbon, which is less than 20 minutes away by train.

Travelling From Fundão in Central Portugal to Lisbon on a CP Train.
We've had a brilliant time staying with our Portuguese friends, Bruno and Marco in Borralheira, Covilhã in the Portuguese interior, but now it's time to head back down south to Lisbon.
Marco drops us at the station in Fundão and we take the CP Train from there to Santa Apolónia railway station in Lisbon. From there we take the Metro back to Baixa, Chiado to get back to our AirBnB.
Thanks so much for joining us on our adventure.

I'm Imo and she's Izzy. We're a UK mother and daughter vlogging combo that loves to get out and about and exploring South Wales and beyond.
We're a homeschooling/home-educating family of two based in the UK dealing with the daily challenges of managing Izzy's severe, chronic eczema and her education. Our resourcefulness is tested on a daily basis, but we'd love to share our little triumphs and discoveries with you as we go along.
Imo is a flautist/flutist (flute player), and these vlogs will often take you behind the scenes of the life of a professional folk musician. Stand by for bits and bobs of live folk music and dance as they pop up in our day-to-day lives.
These videos will not generally feature recorded background music, making them extra suitable for people who aren't keen on pop music!
Follow this channel for occasional tips on caring for eczema, content relating to the flute, travel (particularly to Lisbon, Portugal), homeschooling and homeschool mom stuff, folk musician lifestyle, and to see what life is like for this little family in our corner of South Wales in the UK.
